Chapter 4.2
Chapter 4.2
Cat (2)
She shook the water off her hands while watching Gu Mingyuan making a phone call by the bed.
Gu Mingyuan calmly said, “…She went to the toilet and even washed her hands by herself.”
Lan Mo: “…………”
Mu Le looked at the screen in front of Gu Mingyuan and suddenly her eyes lit up.
– It’s a cat!
Looking at its fur and beautiful eyes… it looked like a ragdoll!
Mu Le used to raise a ragdoll cat named Bobo with her roommate. When they adopted him, he was already a little male cat.
Although he lost his ‘eggs’, Bobo was still handsome and gentle, giving off a feeling like… like the boy on the screen.
If Bobo could turn into a human, he would definitely look like that.
Mu Le looked at Lan Mo with eyes full of maternal love(?).
In that moment, Gu Mingyuan finally recalled the information he had read about humans.
With a cold expression, he turned off the screen.
Mu Le felt a little disappointed. But more than that, she felt overwhelmingly sleepy.
Holding the chain, she obediently walked to her little nest and curled up, ready to sleep. Whatever the situation, at least she would sleep enough before dealing with it.
Mu Le obediently lay on her side in her small nest and fell into a sweet sleep.
However, Gu Mingyuan couldn’t sleep because of all the commotion.
On the other hand, Lan Mo kept messaging, pressing him for an explanation. He chatted with Lan Mo for a while, looked up information, read the news, and slowly fell asleep just before dawn.
And then, early in the morning…
Mu Le started pulling his bedsheets again.
Since he had forgotten to lock her chain, Mu Le had even more freedom this time and came over to pull his blanket directly.
Gu Mingyuan, with a heavy morning air, woke up with a gloomy face.
…Mu Le saw his expression and took a step back in fear.
She thought for a moment and realized that if she wanted to sleep in and a friend woke her up… she would be annoyed.
But then she reconsidered.
She and this horned fierce man weren’t friends; the fierce man treated her as a pet!
Being woken up by a friend might make her angry.
Being woken up by her own pet cat stepping on her face… she could only smile bitterly and continue to spoil it.
Maybe she would even hug and kiss the cat.
Thinking of this, Mu Le, as a pet, suddenly gained confidence.
Sure enough, Gu Mingyuan didn’t get angry at her. Instead, he took a deep breath, softened his expression, and asked her as gently as possible, “What’s wrong?”
Mu Le smiled as she touched her empty little belly and spoke her first learned word from yesterday to Gu Mingyuan, “Hamburger.”
Gu Mingyuan: “……”
Mu Le continued in Chinese, “I can eat something else, but this is the only word I’ve learned.”
Gu Mingyuan reluctantly got up from the bed.
He picked up the light tablet on the bedside table and realized that it was indeed his usual waking time.
He didn’t even hear the alarm clock.
…No, it was turned off as soon as it rang.
Mu Le stood beside him, smiling innocently and urging him, “Hamburger.”
Gu Mingyuan: “……”
One might think his name was Hamburger if they didn’t know better.
Gu Mingyuan put away the light tablet and got up to freshen up while instructing the robotic butler to prepare breakfast.
He didn’t bother pulling Mu Le’s chain this time. Instead, Mu Le held her own chain and happily followed him, hopping along by his side.
Gu Mingyuan was tall and had long legs. For every step he took, Mu Le had to take two or three steps to keep up. When he walked at a normal pace, Mu Le jogged behind him.
The little girl was already small and had been hungry all night. Holding the chain and stumbling behind, it seemed like she was being mistreated.
Gu Mingyuan sighed, turned around, and simply lifted her up in his arms.
Mu Le felt a whirlwind as she didn’t even have time to react before finding herself sitting securely on Gu Mingyuan’s arm.
She leaned against him, sitting on his arm as if on a chair, feeling stable.
But this fierce man was only wearing thin sleepwear, and she was only wearing a linen skirt, with her legs pressed against Gu Mingyuan’s strong bicep.
His arm was really powerful, she could feel it, and she estimated that with a flick of his hand, he could send her off to the other side.
…The starving Mu Le’s mind was filled with horrifying violent images.
Fortunately, the scent of food quickly dispelled her chaotic thoughts as they arrived at the dining room, which wasn’t far away.
In the dining room, a lavish Western-style breakfast was arranged on one side of the rectangular table. On the other side, there was only one plate with a whole American-style hamburger.
Gu Mingyuan placed Mu Le on the floor.
Little Mu Le stood firmly on her feet, looked around, and happily… ran towards his seat.
She didn’t even glance at the hamburger she desired.
Author’s note:
Mu Le: Ah! It’s the toilet! Ah! It’s a cat! Ah! It’s breakfast!
Mu Le: Ah! Happiness!
Gu Mingyuan: …….. Endure.
