Chapter 1906

When Mu Yue and the other two were about to enter the village, they saw an old man sitting on a big rock outside the village. He was holding an opium pipe and was smoking.

The old man squinted his eyes and looked at Mu Yue and the other three walking towards him. "Who are you?"

Mu Yue and the other two walked in front of the old man and said in a friendly manner, "Sir, we are the staff of Longxiang Medical Company. We want to build a base for Chinese medicinal herbs. We want to see if the surrounding environment and soil can meet our requirements!"

When the old man heard Mu Yue's words, he was surprised and curious. "You came to our village? We are in a mountainous area! "

Mu Yue smiled and said, "Because it is a mountainous area, we chose this place. Chinese medicinal herbs need a natural environment to grow. The closer it is to the environment they need, the better the growth of the herbs. In this way, their quality will be better, and the people can eat the best herbs!"

When the old man heard Mu Yue's words, he seemed to be very satisfied and nodded. "Oh, I see. I don't know if it is suitable for Chinese medicinal herbs here!"

Mu Yue smiled and glanced at the field they had walked over from before. She said, "This place is very suitable for the medicinal herbs I need to grow. If possible, I hope to see your village chief and discuss it with him. I will buy your mountain and fields. In the future, the people in your village can continue to live here and help me grow crops. I will also give you wages!"

When the old man heard Mu Yue's conditions, his old eyes became brighter and brighter. "You can pay us?"

"Yes! If this matter is successful, I will help you build a better road between here and the outside world! "Mu Yue smiled and nodded.

The old man nodded and smoked the opium pipe in his hand. He sighed and said, "If it was two years ago, I could make the decision directly. Now you are here, alas!"

Such good news made the old man very happy and expectant. However, when he thought of the situation in his village, he could only feel sad.

Hearing the old man's words, Mu Yue and Ye Tianming were puzzled. "Old man, what do you mean? Why can't I understand? "

She wanted to buy land, but what did that have to do with this old man?

The old man sighed, knocked on the smoking pipe in his hand, and explained, "Two years ago, I was still the village head of this village. However, when our village was choosing a new village head, an ignorant and incompetent brat forced us to choose him as our village head. Alas … I guess it will be very difficult for you to talk to him about this matter!"

"Oh?" When Mu Yue heard this, she didn't expect the old man in front of her to be the former village chief of the village. "Old man, can you tell me about this matter? In that case, why didn't you call the police?"

The old man's face was full of helplessness. "Who asked him to have a good uncle? His uncle is the secretary of our county, so he relied on his uncle to bully our village! What's the point of calling the police? Officials protect each other, so we can only bear it silently! "

Obviously, this was another person who was relying on the power of his elders to show off in his own village.
