Chapter 86: Giving Dad Some Ideas

The one-hundred-cubic-meter Xumi Bag was used to store some battlefield first aid potions and a few gold, silver, and copper coins, but Mo Xiaobai filled all the remaining space with grain.

After accumulating for so long, with rice being harvested every day, there were exactly twenty thousand units of rice. The Xumi Bag was completely stuffed full, with a little bit still left over.

After packing the grain, Mo Xiaobai took the Xumi Bag back to the Baron’s Manor. Before he even got close to the gate, he saw his sister standing there, looking like she had been waiting for a while.

“Why are you standing here, Little Dot?”

“Mo Xiaobai, I have been waiting for you for a long time.”

Mo Xiaoyou replied first, then spoke: “Just now, Dad sent a message. He said there is an Instance on the Great Shang Dynasty side called the ‘Battle of Xu Yi’. Dad was too shy to ask you directly how to play that Instance, so I came to ask you. Once you tell me, I will tell Dad.”

“Has Dad’s Territory upgraded?”

“Yes, please talk fast. I need to tell Dad what you say.”

“Did Dad send you to ask this?”

“No, Mo Xiaobai, if you know the answer, just tell me quickly.”

Mo Xiaoyou saw her big brother was not answering, so she immediately widened her bright eyes. Mo Xiaobai, seeing this, shook his head: “It is better if I talk to Dad myself. You might not understand this.”

After saying this, Mo Xiaobai searched for his father’s ID in his contacts.

He sent a communication request, and soon Mo Xiaobai heard his father’s voice: “Well, the sun must be rising from the west. My Great Lord son actually contacted me on his own.”

“My, Dad, that is a strange thing to say. I have contacted you before. You just wouldn’t come over here. It would be so nice for our family to reunite.”

“Just take care of your mom and Xiaoyou. I will play on my own for now. Do not look down on me. Back when you father was young, I played many games.”

“That’s fine. When you get bored, come over then. Oh, by the way, Dad, is the Instance on your side about King Zhou attacking the Yi?”

“That’s right. Your mom told you, didn’t she? Hey, I said there is no need to ask you. I know how to play such a simple Instance. Just follow King Zhou and attack forward. At this time, King Zhou is still very power ful.”

As Mo Father’s voice came through, Mo Xiaobai shook his head in his heart.

Follow King Zhou and attack forward?

Attack what?

During that period, the Dongyi tribes were not much better than the barbarians. If you focus only on fighting the Dongyi, what kind of rewards can you earn?

Recalling memories from his past life, Mo Xiaobai cleared his throat and spoke: “Dad, actually, I think that tribal war is not very meaningful. You should know the history of the Shang Dynasty and what great things King Zhou did in his old age, right?”

“Ahem. Are you talking about Su Daji? Are there myths in this place too?”

“Dad, where are your thoughts going? I am talking about the story of King Zhou killing Bi Gan and demoting Ji Zi.” Mo Xiaobai felt a smile inside. Luckily, Mom was not here. If Mom heard that you, at your age, want to mess with Su Daji…

Hehe~ That would be a huge mess!

Fortunately, Mo Father was not really looking for Su Daji, and he replied quickly: “Bi Gan? Isn’t that still from the Investiture of the Gods? King Zhou was unjust and killed his own Prime Minister.”

“It is not about Bi Gan from The Investiture of the Gods. I am talking about those great nobles of the Shang Dynasty. If you really want to play the Instance well and get some good rewards, I advise you to do one thing.”

“What thing? You tell me first, kid.”

“Kill Bi Gan, Zi Wei, and Ji Zi, then persuade King Zhou to issue the Decree of Extended Grace!” Mo Xiaobai mentioned a popular Instance guide strategy that had been very hot on the Forum in his past life.

In his past life, this strategy was worked out by players who liked to explore Instances after the first one. Since Plane Instances do not open repeatedly, no one in the past life actually tried this plan. However, the theory behind this plan was supported by many people.

Of course, for every supporter, there were many more opponents.

After hearing this, Mo Father thought it was wrong. He pondered for a while, then frowned: “What bad idea are you, kid, coming up with? Do you want me to be the villain? Bi Gan is one of the last loyal generals of Great Shang!”

Mo Father’s line of thinking was the same as many ordinary Players. Mo Xiaobai moved his lips and smiled: “Bi Gan might be a loyal minister, but he is also a Shang Dynasty royal noble. The slaves he holds might not be few. He still enslaves others, only his methods are more gentle, and his public image is better than King Zhou’s. This is also one of the reasons he was killed.”

“Dad, think about it. The Shang, Zhou, and even Han dynasties were all feudal systems. If this feudal system develops further, it becomes monarchical centralization. If you can persuade King Zhou to use the Decree of Extended Grace to divide the eight hundred feudal lords, King Zhou, who has always wanted to weaken the nobles, will definitely give you unexpected benefits.”

“That is a great thing King Zhou wanted to accomplish in his whole life. He just needed someone like Jia Yi or Zhu Fu Yan to enlighten him. As long as you use the Decree of Extended Grace as your ultimate move, a happy King Zhou might even directly make you the Prime Minister. He uses people like Cao Cao and will not worry about your background. Even if your Prestige Value is not high enough, it is no problem.”

Mo Xiaobai basically said everything he knew. On the other end, Mo Father was silent for a long time before making a heavy decision: “Okay, I will listen to you. I will also learn from Zhu Fu Yan and give a Decree of Extended Grace to the various feudal lords of the Shang Dynasty. Isn’t Ji Chang from Xiqi having one hundred sons? I will just divide them into one hundred and one parts directly.”

“Haha~ Anyway, as long as Dad has fun playing, that is what matters. I, your son, would like to congratulate you on smoothly becoming the Prime Minister of Great Shang,” Mo Xiaobai said with a laugh, jokingly.

This unconventional way of playing works. If it succeeds, it is a great thing. If it fails, it is nothing bad.

Mo Xiaobai just wanted his father to play easily without worrying about anything else.

So what if it failed? At worst, he would bring his father to Daming Village.

Playing against the plot like this is much better than following the Shang Army to burn, kill, and loot all the way. Dad is already old. Mo Xiaobai felt it was completely unnecessary to fight day and night on the battlefield for such a pitiful amount of Merit.

If he was killed by Players a few more times, it would be bad for his health for sure.

After finishing the call with his father, Mo Xiaobai himself needed to prepare his gear. But before he could step into the Manor, Mo Xiaoyou spoke again:

“Mo Xiaobai, can Mom and I go play in the Instance?”

“You both want to go too?”

Mo Xiaobai was surprised for a moment, then nodded: “Of course you can. A Village Level 2 Lord can bring twenty Territory Citizens into an Instance. I am a Village Level 3 Lord and also a Plane Baron, so I can bring one hundred and fifty people. However, this time I only plan to take Li Ji and a few others. If you and Mom want to play, you can come with me.”

“In the Instance, do Mom and I have to stick with you?”

“You do not have to, but the Battle of Guandu is very chaotic, and fighting is happening everywhere. If you go, it is best to stay with me.”

Mo Xiaobai said this for safety reasons, but Mo Xiaoyou did not even think before directly refusing: “I do not want to be with you. I am going to find Zhang Chunhua. The filmed version of ‘Military Advisor Alliance’ was very good. I want to see if Zhang Chunhua is really that powerful.”
