Calean vs Olium

HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO.

"Calean!! You can't just let them massacre my people!" Olium's palm slammed against the round table, the impact echoing throughout the chamber as his expression burned with anger.

"We are already on the brink of a world war, and yet you allowed them to go and kill my people!" He stared directly at Calean, waiting for an explanation.

Calean remained seated, his scaly arms crossed over his chest as he looked at Olium with an almost completely indifferent expression. "What they do is not my problem. We have stayed hidden most of the time, and when we finally decide to come out, you don't allow us?"

Olium gritted his teeth, his hands tightening at his sides. "You insect bastard."

Calean's expression barely changed, though one of his eyes twitched slightly. "Olium... you damn well know I don't like it when people point out the difference between us."
