Chapter 9: Father’s Study

Around the time Ars turned one year and three months old.

Studying with his tutor, Rina, had become something he looked forward to every day.

Little by little, he had learned to read, and he was growing familiar with numbers as well.

Of course, he made sure not to act as though he understood everything.

Making sure his development appeared appropriate for his age was another important part of his 「act」.

I was being carried to my father Cain’s study by my personal maid.

「Master, I’ve brought your tea.」

「Thank you.」

Father was going through a large stack of documents.

Several sheets of parchment lay spread across his desk, with maps and account books piled on top of one another.

My eyes lit up before I knew it.
