In the maritime nation of Vireocean, Hikaru’s group had attended an auction, only to end up getting caught up in an art theft that eventually led them to an encounter with Behemoth, a gigantic monster dwelling in the open seas.

The culprit behind the theft was Phoenix, a woman who had lived for ages and called herself the Usurper of Life. After setting Phoenix against Behemoth, Hikaru left Vireocean.

They managed to regroup with the Four Eastern Stars in the royal capital of Ponsonia.

Serika, in particular, had been eager to go to Japan. Hikaru, for his part, realized that Paula’s birthday was only a few days away, and thought it might be nice to take her to Japan for the first time as a celebration.

The problem, however, was how to execute the spell for crossing worlds.
