So they predicted I’d come. Soaarunay… and Kutsuwa too.

Kutsuwa had fought Hikaru once before. As a spy himself, he understood just how skilled Silver Face was, and he came up with a countermeasure.

Then I can’t afford to be picky either.

Hikaru pulled a thin, black knife from his pocket. It was made of chrome-molybdenum steel, a blade designed solely for throwing.

It pierced the enemy’s arm with ease. The man paused for a split second from the pain, then charged again.

Too slow.

That brief opening was enough.

Hikaru widened the distance again and threw another blade. With this thick fog and Stealth, even if the enemy could tell Hikaru was from the traces underfoot, they still couldn’t actually see his attacks. The second blade sank into the man’s left thigh, and he collapsed to the ground.

Phew.
