Chapter 27: Murder! Murder!

Tuesday morning.

Jiang Yubai rushed into the classroom with his backpack and sat down. He stuffed the bag into his desk just as the morning study bell rang, hastily swallowing the steamed bun in his mouth in a few gulps.

The freshly baked meat buns sold at the school gate had thin skins and generous fillings. Swallowing them whole like this was truly a waste of good food.

But who could blame him? His house was simply too far from the school, and he was a heavy sleeper. He really couldn't afford the time to savor it properly.

Thinking of this, Jiang Yubai looked forward even more to the newly renovated house being finished soon.

After organizing his stationery and textbooks, he pulled a scratchpad and some small snacks out of his bag. He was just about to do his daily quests when he suddenly paused.

He thought, "Wait..."

Jiang Yubai turned his head, his gaze landing on his deskmate beside him.
