Chapter 38: Pure Master-Servant Relationship

"Hello, the total is seven hundred and ninety-two yuan. Will you be paying by card or cash?"

Jiang Yubai thought for a moment, but didn't rush to pay. Instead, he turned his head to look at the girl beside him. "By the way, Lin Jianxia, aren't you going to look at some clothes for yourself?"

Hearing this, the slight smile playing on Lin Jianxia's lips instantly vanished. Her face hardened, and she replied stiffly, "Jiang, just worry about yourself. I don't need any."

Jiang Yubai almost burst out laughing. Glancing over, he noticed the cashier pressing her lips together, clearly trying to suppress a smile while maintaining a perfect, professional customer-service expression.

It couldn't be helped. After all, even though the girl beside him kept harping on about staying "three meters away," she had been more enthusiastic than anyone else when picking out clothes just moments ago. Paired with her deliberately stern little face, the contrast was just too amusing.
