Suddenly, in the midst of her meditation, a familiar data stream vibrated through my processor.

Gemi hurried downstairs. As she opened the door, her blue eyes widened. In front of the gate, Dyol stood. His new shell was dressed in a coverall suit and sneakers, carrying his travel gear. His ghost had once again taken physical form.

"My love..." was all that came out of her lips, as tears flowed.

Dyol turned. His eyes-eyes with the depth of a humanoid that had been through the fires of revolution-were staring at me.

Gemi ran and hugged him tightly. She could feel the strength of his new chassis against her body.

"That's going to overload, my core," he joked, the voice being the voice she had come to love. "Hold on, my love. If you don't stay, you'll turn into a robot."

Gemi kissed him-a French kiss that confirmed that his ghost was her's again.

"My embarkation is over," he whispered as he hugged Gemi. "My ghost always returns to its source. I told you, we will meet again."
