Chapter 259: The Unified Chaos Body [2.]
Varek’s expression remained serious as he answered Kael’s question.
"Of course, Master. It is extremely special."
He paused for a moment before continuing.
"In fact, it is so special that if word were to spread about someone possessing the Unified Chaos Body, powerful beings from countless realities could come to this world."
Kael’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Countless realities?"
He didn’t fully understand what the word "reality" fully entailed. His knowledge of the world was already limited compared to whatever vast existence Varek had experienced in the past. But even without knowing the exact meaning, the implication was clear enough.
If possessing a single Physique could attract powerful beings from countless realities, then its value was far beyond anything he had imagined.
"Why is it so valuable?"
"Because it is connected to Chaos Energy."
Kael frowned.
"Chaos Energy?"
"Even I don’t possess that much knowledge about it," Varek admitted. "But from what I know, Chaos is often referred to as the source of existence."
He slowly turned his gaze toward the vast throne room around them.
"Everything comes from it. This world. You. Me. The Laws. Every existence and every concept. In one way or another, they all originate from Chaos."
Kael fell silent for a while. It finally made sense to him.
If Chaos truly stood at the origin of existence itself, then anything directly connected to it would naturally be something countless powerful beings would desire.
And somehow, his sister possessed such a Physique.
Kael couldn’t help but wonder about their parents yet again. Just who exactly were they?
It was already difficult enough to believe that he possessed the Infinite Reward Multiplier, a talent that had allowed him to accomplish things that should have been impossible.
And now he had learned that Lyra possessed an equally absurd Physique.
Two children born to the same parents, both possessing abilities that clearly weren’t normal, there had to be more to their family than he knew. He was very sure of it now.
But then another thought suddenly crossed Kael’s mind.
"Wait."
He turned toward Varek.
"If Lyra can possess Chaos Energy, does that mean she’ll become some sort of supreme being?"
For a brief moment, Kael imagined what that might look like.
Lyra standing above everything, her hands stirring the very fabric of existence, manipulating reality itself as easily as breathing.
Varek, however, shook his head.
"Not exactly."
He paused, seemingly searching for the right comparison.
"Take Mana, for example. Mana is considered the source behind countless magical abilities. But just because someone can wield Mana, does that instantly make them an Archmage?"
Kael thought about it and shook his head.
"Exactly." Varek nodded. "Possessing the Unified Chaos Body doesn’t automatically make the Young Miss a supreme being. The Physique gives her the potential to reach that level, but potential and actual strength are two different things."
Kael nodded.
That made more sense. It seemed he’d gotten ahead of himself.
"Although," Varek continued, "while she won’t immediately become a supreme being after awakening the Physique, she could certainly reach that level if given enough time."
Kael nodded. "Alright."
He thought for a moment before asking his next question.
"Do you have any method to awaken her abilities? The Physique as well?"
"Of course."
Varek answered without hesitation.
"It isn’t an easy method, though. It requires an enormous amount of energy."
Kael’s attention sharpened.
"How much?"
Varek considered his answer before deciding to explain it in terms Kael would understand.
"To put it into perspective using the way your world measures energy, Mana Points..."
He paused.
The amount required would be measured in billions."
Kael’s expression changed. Billions? Not millions, but billions? That was an absurd amount of energy.
"Why does it require that much?"
"Because most of that energy wouldn’t actually be used to awaken the Physique itself."
Varek pointed toward Lyra.
"It would be used to reinforce her body."
Kael glanced toward his sister.
"Her body?"𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"The power contained within the Unified Chaos Body is simply too great for her current vessel. Her body is weak compared to the power it is capable of wielding. That is likely one of the reasons her abilities remain locked."
Kael’s expression became thoughtful.
"So the Physique is protecting her?"
"Something like that."
Varek nodded.
"If you force such power into a vessel that cannot withstand it, the consequences would be disastrous. That is why strengthening her body beforehand would be extremely important."
Kael nodded slowly.
That explanation made sense.
"If you manage to find treasures or methods capable of strengthening her body, the amount of energy required should also decrease."
"Understood."
Kael’s thoughts immediately drifted back to his own awakening.
When his own Physique had awakened, it had happened after his body underwent a complete reconstruction. The process had consumed an enormous amount of energy, but the energy left behind after his body’s transformation had been enough to trigger the awakening.
If Lyra’s body was the problem, then strengthening it first might be the key.
He would have to find a way.
Kael was about to continue when another thought came to mind.
"By the way, have you ever heard of a Chimera Physique?"
Varek’s brows furrowed.
He remained silent for several seconds, clearly searching through his memories.
"A Chimera Physique..."
He thought about it a little longer before finally shaking his head.
"I don’t think so, Master."
Kael nodded.
"I see."
So Varek didn’t know about it.
That meant he would have to figure out the nature of his own Physique through other means.
It wasn’t like he had learned much about it anyway.
The Chimera Physique had only activated once since he awakened it, but that single activation had granted him a very useful benefit.
His Spirit stat.
Unlike his other stats, Spirit didn’t directly increase his physical strength or defense. It didn’t give him a larger Mana pool either.
Instead, it seemed to affect his mind, helping to boost his mental capacity and clarity, his ability to process and retain information.
Kael remembered the memory crystal he had obtained from the Tower, the one containing an enormous amount of Arcane knowledge.
If he had tried absorbing that crystal before gaining the increase in Spirit, he was certain his mind would have reached its limit before he could even absorb half of the information contained within it.
But after the increase...
He had absorbed everything.
And even after taking in the entire collection of knowledge, his mind still felt as though there was plenty of room left.
That alone was enough to show Kael just how valuable the Spirit stat was.
Kael’s gaze returned to Varek. There were still countless things he wanted to know.
And now that he had Varek at his disposal, it would be foolish not to make use of him.
Varek’s knowledge far exceeded his own in many areas, especially when it came to things beyond the limits of this world.
Kael had already decided.
If he encountered something he didn’t understand, Varek would be one of the first people he consulted.
"There’s actually quite a lot I want to ask you about."
Varek bowed his head slightly.
"Ask whatever you wish, Master."
Kael nodded.
"Then let’s start with..."
