Chapter 3 - Blood Craves

Clement is now in his apartment.. Feeling dizzy all of a sudden, his eyes from yellowish golden color turn to red. He seems like cannot control himself yet. Now, his mind was taken by the wild side of the vampire inside of him. He cannot control his mind and body. His body moves by itself. He is now walking out from his apartment, searching for a human blood that he can suck and sip.

Now Clement is out from his apartment. He is now walking out in the middle of the night, searching for a human that still wandering around late at night. The wind tonight was blowing coldly with the full moon. While walking he bumps into a girl who just finished with her late night shift in the middle of the street. Clement fall down on the ground.

“I’m sorry! Are you okay? You look so pale?!” Said Freia.

“No.. I’m not.. Please.. Help me..” Said Clement.

“H-help?? What happen? Did someone chasing after you??” Ask Freia.

“No.. I-I need…” Said Clement.

“You need? Need what?” Ask Freia.

Clement grab Freia’s arm and pull it closer to his face. He look at her hand for sometimes. A blood, his mind thinks to just drink it because there will be a blood behind those white skin. Clement open his mouth, a fangs came out from it. When he gonna bite her, she pushes him away, till she fall back on the ground.

“V-Vampire.. Are you a vampire? You want to kill me?!” Scream Freia.

“No!“ Said Clement.

“Then what?! You want to sip my blood untill I die?!” Said Freia.

Clement quickly hold Freia’s hand. He uses his vampire superpower to teleport until he arrives in front of the door of his own apartment.

“W-what?! What are you gonna do?! Let me go!” Said Freia.

Clement still grabbing Freia’s hand tightly, he then open the door to his apartment. While still grabbing Freia’s hand, he went to the kitchen to find a knife and handed it to her.

“Please… I’m dizzy…  I need a blood… I cannot bite you, because I don’t know what will happen when I bite you.. so please use this knife and cut your finger… Please.. I’m begging you..” Said Clement.

Freia have no other choice but to help the vampire in front of him. The door is still open, however Clement’s hand is grabbing her arm tightly, so she have no other choice but to follow what he says. She agree to do it. She took the knife and cut a small line on her index finger. The blood slowly appear and dripping out. Clement quickly took her index finger and start sucking the blood from her fingers. He stops when he finally feels full, his eyes changing color back to blue color. Meanwhile Freia looking at him in awe. Soon when his eyes color back to normal, his usual self is back.

“S-sorry! I.. wait here.. I’m gonna search for a bandage..” Said Clement.

“Y-yeah…” Said Freia.

Clement try to search for a bandage in the drawer and finally found it and bring it to Freia. He try to put that bandage on her fingers. After that he also open up the fridge, take out a bottle of water and give it to him.

“Sorry to bother you in the middle of the night..” Said Clement.

“Y-yeah… you back to normal now? I mean look at your eyes. It changes color..” Said Freia.

“Really?.. I guess so. However.. I’m very sorry and thankful for your help tonight..” Said Clement.

“Yeah.. I.. gotta get back..” Said Freia.

Freia quickly leave through the open door. For her this is really weird.. meeting a vampire in the middle of the street at midnight. Sounds like a comic scene or a movie scene. However what makes her more thrilled, it is because the two of them living in the same apartment building, only a different floor. However for a human like her, seeing a vampire living in the building might be a scary fact. Should she just leave and change apartment, however she already paid a full payment for this apartment. It’s impossible to leave just like that, meanwhile money is not a leaf that falls from the tree, it needs a hardwork to gain it.

Meanwhile Clement is already on his bed. He is now overthinking about what happen. Like, what if that girl realize he is a vampire and she told everyone even to the news. What if Alaric and Dorian know this and they cancel his contract.. He will become a forever poor vampire? No way.. He needs to sleep now and let go of the negative thought, because tomorrow, he has a schedule early in the morning..
