Chapter 6 - A Gift

Freia finally meet with the person she gonna work with. That person is the vampire that bite her finger the other day. She supposed to be scared with the traumatic memory, however, Valerius looks so friendly, and also, honest. Moreover, the payment is kinda high, so.. working in here might also be a good choice. It’s also worth it because she can saves up a lot and when she already did saves up a lot, later she can end the contract and live somewhere peacefully.

“So, what’s your schedule now?” Ask Freia.

“Hm.. I don’t have any currently. The schedule will be later at night. Coming to an after party at 7pm. Dorian will come to pick us up at 5pm.” Said Valerius.

“Alright. For now I want to see all of your schedule for this month and send it to me so I can prepare everything for you and notify you earlier.” Said Freia.

“Alright, wait.. did you have a tablet or laptop?” Ask Valerius.

“I have a tablet. But I didn’t bring it here. It’s in my room. Sorry.. I thought I will have an interview, so I just bring myself here and my phone. However, you can send it to my phone first and I will send it to my tab later.” Said Freia.

“Alright.. alright.. let me ask the one month schedule on my phone to Dorian... You can sit in the sofa.” Said Valerius.

Freia walk over to the sofa and sit there, while Valerius is contacting Dorian for his schedule.

V: Dorian, can I ask for my 1 month schedule?

D: Hm. No. You can only have daily schedule for now. A month schedule will be given to you when you already pass 3 months trial.

V: However, my assistant insist on having it.

D: Tell her, you only have daily schedule for now, and I will send it to her also.

V: Alright thanks.

D: Remember 5pm later. I already pick a dress for the two of you.

V: Okay…

After the chat ends Valerius walk over to Freia.

“For this 3 months we only have daily schedule. However, after that we will have a monthly schedule.” Said Valerius.

“Oh.. That would be easy..” Said Freia.

“Dorian will give you the schedule and notify you.” Said Valerius.

Just right after he said that, Freia’s phone suddenly ring. She look at her phone screen. There she got a new notification. It was a message from unknown number. She open it, and it is a schedule of the 7pm after party also the do’s and don’ts in that party.

“Amazing. The schedule already come into my phone now.” Said Freia.

“Great! Dorian really quick.” Said Valerius.

“Alright, because, I don’t have anything to do right now, I’m gonna be back to my apartment.” Said Freia.

“Just come over again later at 4 or 5 pm.” Said Valerius.

“K.” Said Freia.

Right after that she leave the apartment and go back to her apartment. Meanwhile Valerius is at his apartment enjoying himself. Cooking for his breakfast and eat afterward he went to the fridge. He went to the bathroom to take a bath brushing his teeth and look at the mirror, his eyes already turning yellow again, he finish brushing his tooth and he walks to the fridge and drink a sip of the blood. He don’t know why but, there is this satisfying and pleasure feelings after he sip the blood. His eyes turn back to blue again.

Valerius spend all of his day in his luxury apartment. Watching movies in that big screen on the middle room, scrolling his phone, even playing games in that big screen. Life is all fun. However, somehow the thought of him becoming an immortal and live long suddenly struck over. What to do if he lives longer than other people around him? What to do also if people around him gone, and only him that lives? Will he changes his identity? Or.. he would stay in a big mansion just to lives alone and feel all this immortality. Also what if he finds a woman he loves and she died first than him? A scary thought keeps popping up, eventhough he knows the path for him is still long ahead and today is count as the beginning, but… the future thoughts sometimes scared him a lot.

While in his deep thoughts, a door suddenly knocked. He opens it. There he saw someone like a courier sending a package.

“What is it? I don’t think I order anything.. Maybe you send it to the wrong person.” Said Valerius.

The courier check his paper again.

“But it is right, it is written for Valerius Etoile. Apartment room 3203.” Said the courier.

“Who is that from?” Ask Valerius.

“Volue magazine..” Said the courier.

“Ah… yeah. Let me sign it.” Said Valerius, signing the paper.

“….. Cle who?... Is this the right person who is signing?” Ask the courier.

“Oh.. yeah, that’s my old signing, I haven’t update the latest one. Sorry.” Said Valerius, taking the box and just close the door. The courier left.

Valerius open the box he got. It’s the gift from the photoshoot magazine. A clothing that he wears, also a luxury perfume, a luxury belt, and a luxury watch. His eyes are amazed and becoming big. This is the first time he got something like this. Back then even his agency never gives him this kind of treatment. Everything he got, got taken by the CEO. While now.. He got it all. His phone suddenly ringing, it’s Dorian. He pick up his call.

“Did you get the package?” Ask Dorian.

“Yeah.. I got it already.” Said Valerius.

“Pick 1 things you like the most from 3 stuff, perfume, watch or the belt?” Ask Dorian.

“Oh.. Yeah, how about the clothing?..” Ask Valerius.

“It’s all for you.” Said Dorian.

“Alright, I want the watch.” Said Valerius.

“Ok, I will take the perfume and belt for me and Alaric. Congrats.” Said Dorian.

After that he end up the call.

Valerius shout so loud. He is so happy for his payment today. He got branded clothing and a lux watch to puton his wrist. It feels like, the world stop for awhile, and the thoughts of a future didn’t matter anymore, as long as he can still live at the moment. Living in the present…
