Chapter 7 - The Party

The clock is ticking, the color of the sky is soon becoming darker. The Sun is slowly setting down. It’s soon time for Valerius to attend their after party. It’s now 5pm and Dorian already coming and knocking the apartment door. Valerius open it  for him and greet him. Dorian bring a par of clothing, one for Freia and the other for Valerius. Few minutes later, Freia came.

“Oh. Hi. Am I late?” Ask Freia.

“Oh. Just in time. Here wear this and put your make up on. We will go after you both finish wearing the suit and dress.” Said Dorian.

The two of them just look at each other. Freia use the bathroom to wear that long dress, meanwhile Valerius changed in his own bedroom. When the two come up they look gorgeous and mesmerizing.

“Amazing! Alright, let’s go.” Said Dorian.

“Wait… I want to pack a blood..” Said Valerius.

“Ah! Don’t worry, the party won’t be long, let’s go, we don’t want to be late for our first party right?” Ask Dorian.

“Also.. if you bring the blood.. it might looks weird if people seeing you..” Said Freia.

“Oh that’s right.” Said Dorian.

“Alright… I have a bad feeling of this..” Said Valerius.

The 3 of them get inside the car. This is Freia’s first job and she is kinda nervous. Dorian look at her and smile.

“Don’t worry, you both don’t need to be nervous, especially you Freia. This is your first time working, I will show you how everything works. You both only needs to follow me and blended in. That’s all and lastly to enjoy the party.” Said Dorian.

“Alright.. but I’m still nervous.” Said Freia.

“Me too…” Said Valerius.

“Don’t be too nervous. You guys are still young. Just enjoy the party.” Said Dorian.

An hour later they arrived. The car stop in front of a five star hotel. The three of them walk inside the hotel. Valerius walk beside Dorian while Freia walk behind Valerius. They walk to the elevator and get inside. They are going up to the 18 ^th floor. When the elevator door open, it was a ballroom, filled with many people gathering in circles, chatting, while wearing a luxury dresses or suit and hanging a glass of whatever it is on their hands. Waiter and waitress also seems busy walking around offering some snack or food. There are some sofa to sit. There is also a big window behind that sofa, showing a view of many tall buildings and beautiful night view in the city. Also on the other side there is a bar with a bartender guy creating a drink and some people sitting there while chatting with a glass of drink on the table beside them.

Dorian just walk to the sofa and sit, followed by Valerius and Freia. A guy suddenly come over and sit. That guy talking with Dorian, while Dorian also introducing Valerius and Freia to him. They are all shakes hand. After sometimes Valerius decides to go to the bar and sit there to order some drinks, followed by Freia.

The two of them sit side by side. They order some tonic and drink it slowly while chatting.

“What a boring after party..” Said Freia.

“Don’t blame me. All the schedule was made by Dorian, I just follow him.” Said Valerius.

“Anyway, since when you follow him?” Ask Freia.

“Not long ago.. but I’m thankful they found me. Because, before all of this glamour and luxury life, I’m only living in a small apartment without anyone..” Said Valerius.

“Alone… sorry to ask, but where is your family?” Ask Freia.

“Family? I don’t have. My mother died of a cancer, while my dad.. He is somewhere else, with his new family, a new wife and a new childs..” Said Valerius, he sip his drink and smile sadly.

“I’m sorry for you… Then how did you meet with Dorian..?” Ask Freia.

“Actually I’m just a small celebrity who stay in a small and cunning agency. They didn’t pay properly, they also bankrupt suddenly, while the owner runaway with all the money and leave the country. Until oneday Dorian gives me a card name, and voila I’m here..” Said Valerius.

“Amazing. It means your luck is still with you.” Said Freia.

“I guess so. Tell me yours now?” Said Valerius.

“Hm.. Mine? Nothing much. Just a girl living with her other roommates and trying to work the hell off to pay for all her daily and monthly bills.” Said Freia.

“Roommate? So, you share your bed with your friends?” Ask Valerius smiling at her.

“Yeah.. It’s not really fun, because you know, we got a different shift. Sometimes I feel like I might annoyed her because I go home late. Meanwhile.. she is already sleeping soundly..” Said Freia.

“I still have an empty room in my apartment. You can moves and stay with me if you want. It’s also easier because we both working together now.” Said Valerius.

“Really?.. Are you serious?.. How about the apartment bills?” Ask Freia.

“It’s free. Those apartment are bought by Dorian for me.” Said Valerius.

“Great!” Said Freia.

The party still continues. However, suddenly Valerius become dizzy, his blood crave suddenly appear. His eyes suddenly changes color and turn to yellow. What will happen to Valerius?..
