Chapter 19: The RomCom Dimension
Chapter 19: The RomCom Dimension
CH. 19 The RomCom Dimension
Victoria ran through the streets with a sense of urgency in her steps. She couldn’t believe that she was going to be late on her first day at Sakura High School, and that’s after she had set so many alarms. She blamed the nerves. I mean, being a transfer student is so difficult, especially when you also fight the forces of evil at night as Magical Girl Victoria. Keeping this secret, going to school, and keeping up her social life. Victoria doesn’t know how she managed to do it all.
Lost in thought and savoring the jammed toast in her mouth, Victoria didn’t see the Elf woman who rounded the corner. Slamming into her at full force, her jammed toast went flying. She looked on in despair. After all, that was also her lunch, and now it’s going to be the floor's lunch, or at least it was supposed to be. Before it could reach the floor, the Elven woman gracefully caught the jammed toast with her hand and Victoria with her other, dipping her as she did.
“Are you okay?” the woman asked as her eyes sparkled and sakura petals fell in the background.
“I… Yes, I am. Who are you?” Victoria asked, awestruck by the woman's beauty.
“I’m just someone who doesn’t like to see girls cry, but you can call me Rose,” Rose said as she gently placed the jammed toast back in Victoria's mouth.
Grabbled intelligible noise came out of Victoria's mouth as she tried to speak. Turns out having a piece of jammed toast in your mouth makes it difficult to speak. Who would’ve guessed?
“You don’t have to say a thing. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of opportunities to speak later. After all, we both go to Sakura High School," Rose said as she elegantly left the scene.
Victoria was awestruck by what had just happened.
‘To think. I get to go to school with her,’ Victoria thought.
As she leisurely made her way to school, she had seemingly forgotten a very important detail. Victoria was late to her first day.

Ms. Ornikoria stood at the head of the class with her arms crossed. “To think you are late to your first day of class. No wonder my toad-senses are going haywire.”
Victoria gave a deep bow. “I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.”
Ms. Ornikoria croaked. “Okay, okay. Now, why don’t you introduce yourself to the class?”
“Of course. I am Victoriamendorf von Ausgulten-bingen-bongen of Ulm, but you can all call me Victoria,” Victoria said as she was still writing her name on the chalkboard.
“Very good. Now go take a seat… at the back of the class, near the window,” Ms. Ornikoria said as she checked the class roster.
Victoria happily walked over to the back seat and was soon surprised to see Rose sitting next to her. To think that they would be seatmates. Who would’ve thunk it? Definitely not Victoria, as she was having an emotional breakdown.
‘I’m… sitting… next to her! This is insane! What am I going to do? I already messed up my thank you to her earlier, and now she saw me come late to class! What if she thinks I’m some kind of delinquent?! Oh no, what do I do?!’ Victoria thought as she spiralled out of control.
“Seems I’m lucky. I got to sit next to the prettiest girl in school,” Rose said as she locked eyes with Victoria.
Victoria turned bright red like a tomato, an apple, or a red Subaru Outback. She had never been assaulted by such directness. Did she like it? Who knows, but at the very least, it made her embarrassed.
“Are you talking to me?” Victoria asked.
Rose leaned her chin on her hand. “I don’t see how I could be talking to anybody else,” she said with a smug smile.
Victoria swooned.
‘Maybe transferring isn’t going to be as bad as I thought,’ Victoria thought as she got lost in Rose's eyes.
As Victoria got lost, she didn’t immediately notice as a Tesla crashed through the window of the classroom. Chairs were thrown about, students were rocketed into the hallway, and the romantic tension had broken.
Stumbling out of the Tesla was a young girl who was coughing up a fit. “I think we made it to where Victor is,” the girl said.
“GPS coordinates say that this is the place,” Tesla's AI said.
The girl looked around the classroom until her eyes stopped on Victoria. “Finally. I’ve been looking all over for you. We’ve been trapped in an outworlder's magic. We need to find a way out,” the girl said.
Victoria was very confused. She had never seen this girl before, and she had never heard of the term outworlder before. Sure, she knew what magic was, after all, she was a magical girl who fought the scourge of the forces of evil at night, but the rest might as well be gibberish.
“I’m sorry, I think you have the wrong person, little girl. Where are your parents, and why are you driving a Tesla?” Victoria asked.
“I’m Lataya. Don’t you remember me?” Lataya asked with a hint of sadness in her voice.
Victoria also grew sad, but she didn’t know why. “I’m sorry. I don’t, but we can be friends if you like. After we find your parents, of course.”
Lataya's heart stung at Victoria's words.
‘Why is it that I’m the only one who isn’t affected? I can’t cry. I need to help Victor out of this. Like he's helped me. I just need to think of this as a puzzle. I’m good at puzzles. I just need to think. What’s different about me compared to them? I’m a child. No, that doesn’t make any sense. Wait!’ Lataya thought as she clutched her necklace.
“That’s a nice necklace. Did your mother get you that?” Victoria asked.
Lataya hoped with all her heart that this would work. “Would you like to touch it?” she asked.
“Okay. I don’t see why not,” Victoria said as she touched the necklace.
The moment that Victoria touched the necklace, a white spark crackled around the room, hitting Victoria, Rose, and Ms. Ornikoria.
“Why in the fuck am I in a school uniform?” Victoria asked as she looked around, confused.
Rose cocked her head. “Was I flirting with you?”
Onrikoria crocked as she walked up. “Something is wrong. My toad-senses are going haywire!”
“Thank the gods. It worked. I was worried I was all alone,” Lataya said as she hugged Victoria.
“Don’t worry, Princess. I’m back. Where are we, and why am I Magical Girl Victoria?” Victoria asked as she looked around.
“You are in my domain, The RomCom Dimension,” A man's voice boomed through the air.
Rose looked around in confusion. “Did everyone hear that?”
“Yeah, sounds like that otherworlder that the Princess was talking about,” Victoria said as she reached for her nonexistent sword.
“HAHAHAHA! Yes, it is I, Akio Nakamori, and you have fallen straight into my trap. In my domain, anything that I think of becomes real. So, how about you go back to being my little playthings before I have to hurt you,” Akio said as the whole world started to shake.
“What do we do? My toad-senses are going haywire!” Ornikoria said as they put up their toad hands.
Lataya looked around. “I have an idea. Quick to the Tesla,” she said.
The group piled into the Tesla as Lataya messed with the controls. “What are we thinking, Princess?” Rose asked.
“Whatever you do will not save you from my imagination. Watch!” Akio said as the roof of the school was ripped off.
The culprit was a gigantic monster that could only be described as an overgrown monstrous lizard, or rather, a walking copyright strike. The beast roared, shaking the entire world.
Lataya gave a small laugh. “Found it!” she said as she pressed a series of buttons on the Tesla console.
“Mecha mode activated. Please keep all limbs inside the vehicle during transformation into Mega-Tesla-Zord,” the Tesla AI said calmly.
In mere seconds, the Tesla had transformed into a large humanoid robot about the size of the monstrous monster. Victor looked down at the ground from this great height and realized one single thing.
‘I hate heights.’
“Oh, I see. You’re challenging me! AHAHAHAH! How hilarious, but I’ll indulge you. Then let us decide this with a Kaiju vs. Mecha battle. It will be the fight to end all fights,” Akio said as he descended from the sky and merged with the Kaiju.
Victor looked worried at the sudden situation. “Princess, please tell me you know how to use this thing,” he asked with a glimmer of hope.
Lataya smirked the smirkest smirk she could smirk. “Of course. I’m a Princess after all.”
Rose peeked from the back seat. “That doesn’t make any sense.”
“My toad-senses are going haywire!”
The Kaiju rocketed forward with the grace of a bull. Lataya grabbed the steering wheel and spun it with all her might. The Mega-Tesla-Zord did a backflip over the Kaiju when it could have easily sidestepped.
The Kaiju looked behind it with surprise. Before it could get its bearings back, Lataya honked the horn. A devastating fart sound vibrated through the air, sending the Kaiju crashing into a highrise.
“Maybe being a Princess does give you the ability to pilot a Mech,” Rose said in awe.
The Kaiju tried to get up, but before it could, the Mega-Tesla-Zord had already closed the distance and stomped the Kaiju back into the highrise. “How is this possible?” Akio asked.
The Mega-Tesla-Zord grabbed the gigantic Tesla logo off its chest. “You said it yourself. Anything you think of becomes reality. In a world where imagination is king, do you think you can win against me, or rather the imagination of a child?” Lataya asked with a maniacal look on her face.
“No. This can’t be. You figured out the secret of my domain? Impossible, how?” Akio asked.
“I guessed,” Lataya said as she shifted the gearshift into S, which stands for Stab.
The Tesla logo was then stabbed straight into the Kaiju's stomach and then up into its head. The Mega-Tesla-Zord then grabbed the head of the Kaiju and ripped it from its body, spine and all.
Lataya let out a triumphant roar. Rose and Victor looked at her, and both thought the same thing.
‘She needs some therapy.’
“Mecha mode battery level is low. Returning to car mode,” the Tesla AI announced as we turned back into a car.
With the car safely on the ground, Victor had finally let go of the armrest. Rose looked around at the modern city surroundings.
“Why are we still in the RomCom dimension?” she asked.
A man with glasses stepped out onto the streets with a bloody arm. “That’s because you can only leave here after you kill, I, Akio Nakamori. Which is impossible!” he proclaimed.
Lataya dramatically placed some shades on. “That’s what you think,” she said as the Tesla turned into an illusory semi-truck using the semi-truck runes.
“Where did you get those glasses?” Victor asked.
“Same place I got this toothpick,” Lataya said as she had put the pedal to the metal.
“No, my only weakness. A semi-truck,” Akio said right before he got run over.
The RomCom dimension started to fall apart as Lataya threw her toothpick out the window. “Mission accomplished, now let's get the rest of them,” she said as an explosion happened in the background, which she didn’t look at for obvious reasons.
