Shallow

You were suddenly jolted awake by Mikasa and Sasha sitting on top of you, pretty much screaming at the top of their lungs.

"Y/N!!!! Wake up!!!" Sasha yelled loudly as she was munching on a loaf of bread.

You opened up one eye to see the both of them beaming large smiles at you.

"Oh what hell am I in now?" You asked them groaning.

"Y/N! No Name just announced that their doing a concert here this weekend. We already got tickets for Friday night."

Groaning again, you grabbed your pillow from under your head and placed it on your face.

"You guys seriously woke me up to tell me about a band that I don't care about??"

"Oh! We just wanted to tell you so you don't make plans for Friday night. You're coming with us." Sasha said still munching on the loaf of bread.

You whined, "Do I have to? I went with you guys last time."

"Yes, you're going. We're all going." Mikasa said plainly.

You just wanted to go back to sleep so you quickly agreed. "Fine! I will go. Where are the seats this time?" You asked.

Mikasa shrugged, "Same place as last time. I am not sure how it happened but I was able to get tickets dead center in the front row again."

You grumbled to yourself realizing that you would have to go to the concert with your friends and sit thru it as they all acted crazy.

"I agreed, so please let me sleep." You begged. They both smiled as they got off of you and headed out of your room.

~Time Skip to the Common Area of the College~

As you stood in the common area of the college with your group of friends. They were all excitedly talking about the No Name concert that was happening in a few days. As you listened around you realized that almost everyone there was talking about the concert. You wondered if you were the only one here at the school that wasn't obsessed with the band. You ran a hand down your face groaning.

"Y/N!!! Aren't you excited for the No Name concert? We got front row center again!!!Eren asked you with a sparkle in his eyes.

"Eren, you should already know the answer to this. No. You guys are once again forcing me to go and see this band that I am not even a fan of." You said with slight annoyance in your voice.

What you didn't notice is that the group of four that was listening in on the conversation your friends were having about their band.

Sighing, "I am going to my vocal class, I will see you guys after." You said as you headed to the music department, offering a small wave to your friends.

Even though music wasn't your program you had decided to take a singing class. You had always loved to sing and this gave you an opportunity to learn more about your voice and perfect it to the best of your ability.

~Levi's POV~

As he stood there with his and mates and their manager, he listened in on the conversation you and your friends were having. It seems like everyone was excited about the surprise concert that was happening in a few days. He continued to listen.

"Y/N!!! Aren't you excited for the No Name concert. We got front row center again!" The brunette with a man bun said excitedly to her.

He cocked an eyebrow at the mention of you guys getting front row center again.

"Eren, you should already know the answer to this. No. You guys are once again forcing me to go and see this band that I am not even a fan of."  She said with what sounded like annoyance in her voice.

He furrowed his brow as he heard you weren't a fan of the band. However he had a feeling that was the case from 2 years ago. However it didn't upset him. He had just never really met anyone that wasn't obsessed with his band.

I am going to my vocal class, I will see you guys after." He heard her say as she waved to her friends and walked off.

'Huh, she sings. I wonder what type of music she enjoys singing." He thought to himself.

He glanced over at his friends who had heard the whole conversation. With them clearly having to listen to him talk about this girl that caught his eye for two years ago, they aren't surprised that you had peaked his interest at that moment. They all watched as your friends walked off to their classes.

"Well, that was something." Erwin spoke up.

"So, she isn't a fan of us." Hange chimed in.

Mike just stood there quietly observing the whole situation.

Hange's voice suddenly rose. "So Levi, what do you think? What's your plan?" She asked.

Humming to himself he had a few ideas but for now, he wanted to hear you sing.

"I've got a few ideas, but I think I need to talk to her first to get to know her. I do also have an idea for something to do during the concert." He said.

"Oh Levi! You have it bad for this girl don't you?" Hange practically yelled.

"Shut it four eyes." He snapped. "I do though want to go and see what her voice sounds like. She mentioned she has vocal class and and I don't have my class until after lunch. So I will see you guys after." He said and started to walk off. He was stopped by the other three when he realized they were coming with him. They too wanted to hear your voice as they all headed to the music department. They quickly found the room you were in, standing outside up against the wall.

~Y/N POV~

As you sat in the back of the class, you listened as your professor spoke. Your teacher wanted each of you to come up and sing a song that you knew by heart so he could hear what everyone could do. Everyone went before you, then suddenly it was your turn. You took in a breath standing up from your seat, walking to the front of the class. You however really enjoy singing when you're playing the piano.

"Sir, is it okay if I also play the piano while I sing?"

"Of course, feel free." He said with his gruff voice.

You walked over to the piano and took a seat. You didn't realize that the group of four had some how snuck in quietly into your class room to listen.

You closed your eyes as your fingers ran over the keys of the piano, you had decided to sing one of your favorite songs, "Shallow" Taking in a deep breath, you started to sing.

You closed your eyes as you knew the part where people would actually hear your voice was coming up. You continued to gracefully play the piano.

As the song came to and end and you finished brushing your fingers over the keys, you were met with absolute silence. You trailed your eyes up to your professor who looked at you with wide eyes. You then trailed your eyes over to your classmates as the class erupted into claps and cheers. You smiled slightly as you pushed up from the piano bench. As you moved to go back to your seat, you noticed four people in the back. Three of them had their mouths dropped opened slightly. The one with the grey eyes just looked at you with wide eyes. You felt your cheeks start to get hot as you made your way back to your seat. You watched as the four quietly removed themselves from the classroom.

With that the Professor dismissed everyone. You grabbed your stuff and headed for the door.

~Levi's POV~

As he stood out in the hallway occasionally each one of them would peak thru the glass on the door to see who was singing. When they realized that the class was getting ready to end, that meant that you must have been up next. They quietly opened the door and snuck in, making sure to keep themselves out of the Professors view.

They watched as you walked up to the piano and asked permission to play the piano as you sang.

'She can play the piano too?' Levi questioned inside of his head. He didn't know why, but he just had a feeling that you had a voice that would blow him away.

As you started to play the piano, Levi and his friends quickly recognized the song. They knew that this could end up being a complicated song to sing, let alone while playing the piano. All four of them listened quietly as you started to sing.

Levi couldn't keep his eyes off of you. As you were singing it registered in his head that he finally had something he could talk to you about. Your singing. As you progressed through the song, Levi glanced over to his friends, raising a eyebrow as they all knew what part was coming up. He wondered how it would sound.

He watched as you took a deep breath and sang.

Levi's eyes widen at this. His mouth slightly hung open as he quickly glanced back at his friends, who too were watching you with wide eyes and their mouths open.

As the song ended, Levi watched you with wide eyes as you looked to the Professor and to everyone else in the room. Everyone in that room sat there looking shocked before the classroom erupted into to cheers and claps. As you got up from the bench, you started walking back to your seat.

Levi's eyes were locked on you, when you looked up into his eyes before your cheeks tinted a slight shade of pink.

'Cute' Levi thought as you continued to make your way back to your seat.

The four of them quietly snuck back out into the hallway and moved off to the side as class was about to be dismissed. They decided that they would wait for you and talk to you.

~Y/N POV~

As you walked out of the door you noticed the four that were in your classroom leaning up against the wall. You offered a sweet smile to them.

"Hey guys." you said with a  hint of  nervousness in your voice.

"YOU WERE AMAZING!!!!" Hange screamed as she ran and wrapped her arms around you.

You let out a soft giggle returning the hug. "Oh, thank you. I didn't realize I would have more people in there than those in my class."

"We were walking by the room and heard someone singing so we decided to take a peak.  You could say we know a little something about music. You really were amazing" Erwin said.

You noticed Levi shoot him a glare after that comment.

Feeling your cheeks tint a slight shade of pink again. "Thank you, Erwin. I always tend to get a bit nervous when singing in front of people."

Mike just stood there quietly and offered you a kind smile with a little head nod.

"You didn't sound a bit nervous to me." Levi said as he walked up to you.

"Well, I was beyond nervous, I was to the point of shaking." you said as you looked to Levi.

You had never really seen him up close, he was just slightly taller than you. Now you understood why Hange called him short. You yourself were pretty small.

You noticed as Levi looked to his friends, it was almost as if they understood what he was thinking and they all started to head off.

"We're off to our classes. See you later, Y/N!" Hange said as her, Erwin and Mike all walked off.

Glancing to Levi after you watched his friends leave. "Don't you have class too?" You asked him?

"No, I don't have class until after lunch. Speaking of lunch, would you like to have lunch with me?" He asked.

You bit your bottom lip a little bit before nodding. "Sure, I would like that Levi."

"I know a little café around here that serves good food and tea. Let's go there" He said

You of course agreed and went with Levi to the café. You both arrived and found a table towards the back. You didn't know why, but you preferred to sit away from a lot of people. Levi walked to a chair and pulled it out for you. You happily took the chair as he moved to the chair in front of you.

You both placed your order, you ordering you f/f and f/d. Levi ordered the same thing as you except he got Black Tea.

~Levi's POV~

As he sat across from you, he decided to test the waters to see what he could find out about you.

"Do you have any plans for this weekend, Y/N?" he asked with almost a coldness in his voice.

You let out a little sigh as you nodded, "Yeah, my friends are dragging me to the No Name concert this Friday. I tried to wiggle my way out of it but when you're woken up at 2am in the morning by two of your best friends sitting on you, you really can't disagree."
