He nodded silently as they continued inside. The band was guided to their personal rooms to rest, while their belongings were carefully carried.

Hinata led Rimuru, along with Shion and Diablo, to a different location, where Luminous could be seen, flanked by Louis and Gunther.

"Good to have you here, Newbie," Luminous grinned, teasing him with the nickname she had been enjoying using on him. "I wanted to further talk about the relationship between our nations."

"Sure," Rimuru replied casually, taking a seat in the chair provided. "Where do we start?"

The talks began, lasting for a long time. It was a very difficult negotiation for Rimuru. He had assumed that Luminous would leave Lubelios to Louis and Hinata, not caring much about anything related to it.

But to his disappointment, Luminous proved to be an experienced ruler. He had failed to realize that she was still the highest authority of the place. Before Louis and Roy were brought in, she had been the one who created the Holy Empire, with only Gunther by her side.

With the help of Raphael, Rimuru managed to strike a deal that benefited both sides. Raphael wanted something more favorable, but Rimuru decided it would arouse hostilities to try such a thing.

"Now that that is done..." Luminous gestured to Louis, who brought out some alcohol and food for them to eat. He placed the meal on the table between them, the scent of the food wafting toward Rimuru.

Luminous wore a face that practically shouted, 'We also have delicious food!' Rimuru would agree with it, as he was more than eager to eat.

The two began chatting more informally as they ate and drank. With Rimuru learning how to turn off his poison resistance, drinking had become something he enjoyed again.

"Louis, you can go back to work," Luminous ordered, her expression slightly flushed. Louis bowed his head and left the room.

Rimuru thought the same; it was already past midnight, and Shion and Diablo were still behind him. "Shion, Diablo, you two can go, too."

Unfortunately, her shout made his head hurt a little, further enforcing his decision to send them away. "It's fine, we're just going to continue drinking. You two return to your rooms and rest for tomorrow, that's... an order." Rimuru slurred slightly at the end, the alcohol getting to him.

Luminous smirked as she drank from her wine, observing as the two servants left, leaving the two of them alone.

"Are you enjoying the alcohol, Newbie?" She moved her seat beside him, leaning in to whisper in his ear.

"Yeah, this... this is really good." Rimuru emptied his glass with a satisfied exhale.

"Fufufu~" Luminous moved her hand to him. "This is a very special alcohol, meant only for the rarest of occasions, after all."

Rimuru, feeling intrigued, listened to her words, not even noticing her hand resting on his thigh. "What makes... this drink... so special?" His eyes were getting foggy, his gaze losing focus.

"This was made in an old kingdom that no longer exists," she began explaining, her head now fully leaning on his shoulder. She moved closer to his neck, her breath sending goosebumps across Rimuru's skin. "The older it gets, the more potent the alcohol."

He felt something warm and wet tracing along his neck.

"I... I see," Rimuru attempted to nod, but his head merely wobbled. "Ha... how old... is this...?"

His eyelids were slowly closing as he turned his head toward Luminous. She was still leaning close to him, their faces barely an inch apart.

Their eyes met, while Rimuru's were glazed, Luminous' eyes held a sensual gaze.

Rimuru was resisting the urge to sleep, but in the end, he couldn't stop it and his head fell to Luminous' shoulder.

She turned her gaze toward a different path in the corridor. At the end of that passage stood Hinata in her night attire. She had just walked back from using the bathroom and drinking some water.

The two women stared at each other for a full minute.

Hinata, though not seeing them clearly due to the dim light, could fully perceive the scene with her skills. She could see Luminous carrying an unconscious Rimuru toward her bedroom, no less.

The Right Hand of God Luminous, chose to ignore what she saw and continued toward her room. She was too tired and sleepy to care about what her mistress was doing with a defenseless drunk man.
