Lait vs Fenn (Canon)

(370 words)

Lait took deep breaths as she composed herself, glaring at her opponent. Ever since Rimuru was killed by Velgrynd, she had begun to grow more sentient as the days went by.

Veldanava questioned the reason for this development, which was concerning, especially since she wished to grow stronger and even desired to be trained by him.

Currently, Veldanava watched from afar as Lait was engaged in a tense battle with the rogue of the three true giants. After Veldanava calmed down the 'God' and split it into three brothers, the other two quickly became obedient and submitted to him. Meanwhile, one brother disagreed with this decision and broke off from the others. Veldanava surmised that the innate love for destruction had been especially placed upon him.

With the giant's towering form, he lunged his fist toward her. Lait, with quick reflexes, raised her shield just in time to block the blow. The ground cracked beneath her as she absorbed the impact. Taking deep breaths, she slowly adjusted her grip on the shield and drew her short sword.

She thrust forward when she saw an opening, but the Fenn quickly dodged.

He smirked, seeing Lait show signs of exhaustion. "Is that all you've got?" he mocked, watching her correct her posture and raise her shield.

He bolted forward and began throwing a barrage of punches at Lait. Due to the overwhelming power behind his attacks, she left an opening, which Fenn did not let go unnoticed.

Raising his leg, he kicked the shield out of Lait's hand. "Fight me with your bare hands!" he challenged, then thrust his hands toward her chest, planning to pierce her body.

Lait clicked her tongue. She used her weapon to slightly alter the direction of Fenn's attack and moved herself forward toward his body.

She placed her free hand on his chest. Fenn, not sensing any power in her, arrogantly allowed her to do so, which would turn out to be a fatal mistake.

Lait stared into his eyes, and he stared back. Fenn felt a chill down his spine as he saw her gaze, which was devoid of any emotion.

"W-wait," he stammered, trying to step back.

But it was already too late.

"Nightmare."

Drinking (Canon Filler)

(349 words)

Rain laughed as she continued to chug the potent bottle of wine in her hand. "Hahaha, that's the stuff." She slumped onto her bed.

She had just gone to Rimuru, complaining about how her master had been making her jealous with how he got to drink such fine and delicious wine that Rimuru had brought out.

She felt like she was being tortured just by her master's comment about how the liquor tasted. She ran from the room crying, complaining about how unfair life was.

Meanwhile, Misery and Guy watched her with exasperation and confusion. Guy was about to finish his sentence when he brought out a bottle that he had managed to hide just for the two primordials.

"Where is she going?" Guy asked, confused, as he passed the bottle to Misery.

She sighed and gracefully received the bottle. "Please don't mind her, Guy-sama."

Half an hour later, after that exchange, Rain returned to the castle, grinning to herself, as if her unsightly appearance earlier had been nothing but an illusion.

Misery noticed her return. "Rain, hurry up and help me with this—" She turned to the blue primordial.

But Rain had already locked herself in her room, with her direct subordinates guarding the door.

She laughed creepily as she hugged the expensive bottle to her cheek. "This is what friends are for. Hehehe."

As she lowered her resistance to the extremely high alcohol content, her state was already beyond just being drunk.

She stared at the ceiling while occasionally giggling, taking another drink from the bottle.

"You have work to do," she barely heard someone speaking. Her eyes lazily wandered to the green-haired demon at the edge of her vision.

"Hehe... hehe... hut it... yu whoka...olic... itch." She slurred her words as she raised the bottle high.

Misery's eyes twitched dangerously as her powers surged. She swiped the bottle from Rain's hand and made Rain watch as Misery drank every last drop of what remained.

While Rain had been drinking for a while, she had been savoring it, so barely half of the bottle was empty.

Seeing Misery down the entire contents of the bottle, Rain's mind, which had barely been processing what she saw, suddenly became somber as she witnessed the disappearance of her liquor.

"Ahhh... AHHH!!!" Rain cried out as she lunged at Misery in a fit of anger.

Chains (Canon Filler)

(249 words)

Jahil knocked on the door of Rimuru's office. Upon hearing permission to enter, he turned the knob and stepped inside to find Rimuru sorting through paperwork while Velgrynd sat on the sofa, reading one of her favorite novels.

"Do you need anything, Jahil?" Rimuru asked without looking up, continuing his work.

Jahil turned to look at Rimuru, then at Velgrynd. He took a deep breath. "Boss, did you go to the Sacred Library earlier?"

Rimuru paused, halting his work, and looked at Jahil with a neutral expression. "Why do you ask? Is something there?"

Jahil noticed that Velgrynd was also listening in, though she pretended to be engrossed in her book.

Preparing himself for what may come next, Jahil took out two items and placed them on the small table between the two sofas in the office.

With a clink, he dropped them onto the table. The two others in the office gasped and froze in place, staring at the objects.

"So, uh, next time please make sure not to forget your... 'toys' when you 'read' in the library," Jahil said. With that, he turned and headed for the door.

As he reached the doorknob, he felt a hand on the back of his neck. "Sorry," a voice said.

The next thing he knew, he was outside of the office. He turned toward the door, tilting his head in confusion. He couldn't recall why he had come in the first place or if he had wanted to ask something.

Agni x Runa (Canon Filler)

(576 words)

""My Lord/Rimuru-sama"" Agni and Runa entered pushing each other out of the door as they want to present their report first.

Rimuru massaged his temple, the fact that he has seen this scene play out more than a hundred of times maybe even thousands of times was enough to even make him feel exasperation.

"Just bring your report." He ordered, his tone serious, making the two straighten their back unconsciously and walked towards him in perfect unison. Making Rimuru question if they practiced with how they move.

Placing their reports on his desk, Rimuru gestured for them to leave.

As they closed the door from Rimuru's office, the two glared at each other as they moved through the hallway.

"Because of you we got scolded," Agni complained with Runa frowning at his words.

"Says you," She pointed at him angrily. "You were the one that pushed me first."

Agni rolled his eyes, "I didn't do it on purpose, you were just so small I couldn't notice you." He gestured with his hand dropping down, as if to mock her stature."

"You!" Runa felt her anger reaching its peak and her power accumulating in her hand. Her bow ready to materialize at any moment.

Agni smirked, "What? Got something to say?" He, as well, started to increase his power and prepares to equip his axe.

Suddenly as the two stepped forward towards each other, a sense of dread was felt. The heavy feeling was enough to make them release any power they were trying to control and their knees buckled in fear.

Scanning the hallway, in front of them was someone that worsen the felling they felt. "La-Lait-sama..." They didn't know which one of them uttered her name but they stared at the Angel who was looking at them angrily.

"Do you two plan on destroying this building?" Her tone caused the two to feel shiver in their spine. Even while they do not need to breath, they felt out of breath at the moment that they could barely speak.

"No, t-that was..." Runa tried to explain stuttering.

Agni seeing her halt, continued. "We were just talking... we were actually planning on leaving already."

Lait who didn't bother hiding the fact that she knew how bad their lie was, raised her hand slightly and the intense pressure the two were feeling suddenly disappeared.

"Just make sure this doesn't happen again." She walked pass the two who watched her leave the hallway and entered Rimuru's office.

"That was close, we almost saw nightmares..." Agni sighed with relief.

As he looked at Runa, he noticed her hand which was holding the edge of his shirt. He didn't noticed earlier due to the predicament but now that he noticed, he can't ignore it anymore.

"Y-you can let go now." His voice broke for a second, even though he was planning on making fun of her for her cowardice and clinging to him. He couldn't muster the courage or make the words he wants to say.

Runa hearing his words, noticed where her hand was and let go. Placing both hands on her back, averting his gaze. She expects to hear his mocking voice yet nothing came out.

Looking at Agni, he was also averting his gaze.

"!!!"

The two awkwardly left the building and went on different places to cool down their mind. Their minds not in the right state as their thoughts were all focus on the moment earlier.

Hinata x Toru (Non-canon)

(1312 words)

Suppose to be "Chapter 84 New Start" if we go to the SaToru route as the new main character.

Rimuru appeared from the gate connected to Luminas' Night Rose. "Velgrynd should have explained everything to you two, right?"

Hinata, Chloe, and Luminas all nodded in agreement as Velgrynd watched from the side.

Chloe stepped forward. "Rimuru-san, I'm coming with you to the Citadel."

"As much as I want to do the same... I understand that I still have a role to play in this world." Luminas grumbled as she placed her hand on her hip.

"I plan to stay as well," Hinata said. "I'll guide the substitute Chloe to make sure everything goes smoothly. The me in her soul wouldn't be capable of doing that, especially after everything that has changed."

Rimuru nodded at their words. "Then, I'll be leaving a helper." He gestured, and another person stepped out of the gate behind him.

A black-haired young man, his body mostly covered by his long clothes and cloak. His eyes showed no emotion as his head hung low.

Placing his head on top of the young man's, Rimuru began his explanation. "This here is Toru. He'll be stepping in as a helper and guardian for Cardinal."

"Toru?!" Chloe and Hinata reacted. "Uhm, Rimuru-san, isn't he the one who...?" Chloe trailed off, not wanting to continue her words.

"Yes," Rimuru spoke bluntly, as if it were a matter of fact. "But this one is different. 'Toru' is the psycho who loves fragments. This is 'Satoru,' the original soul of this body. I... did a few modifications, and his skills are useful." He pushed Satoru forward.

Raising his head to look into the girls' eyes, Satoru said, "Pleasure to meet you. I don't really understand what's happening, but if I don't do as he says, he'll torture me again."

Velgrynd raised a brow, looking at Rimuru. 'Again?' she mouthed silently to Rimuru, who merely shrugged.

"Anyway, make sure to work him to the bone, Hinata." With his farewell, Velgrynd and Chloe followed him, and they disappeared as the gate closed.

The next day...

Hinata was training in the forest near the castle alone. It had been a while since she was able to practice her swordsmanship by herself, so she was making sure to make the most of the circumstances.

"Why are you here?" She glared as she observed Satoru sitting in one of the large branches of a tree, watching her train. "Are you a pervert? Getting off watching me train?" She took a battle stance and held her sword.

"Why would I think of that?" Satoru jumped down from the branch and walked toward her. When the distance between them was exactly one meter, he placed his hand on his chin as if analyzing her face.

"What?" Hinata frowned as he continued to stare at her face.

Satoru opened his mouth but chose to close it and shook his head. "Nothing." He took out his own sword and took a few steps back. "How about I help you train? I do have more experience than you."

Hinata cocked an eyebrow. "You? I've lived since the first civilization of creation."

"And I've lived through that and a thousand lifetimes all at once." He pointed to his chest, specifically to his soul. "I've also trained under many professionals, both in weapons and bare-handed."

"I see," Hinata raised her sword. "Don't disappoint me, then."

Meanwhile, as the two clashed and sparks flew from their weapons...

Inside Satoru's head was pure chaos. It was almost a miracle he was able to spar with Hinata.

(Fascinating.) Lumis watched with amazement.

Aggre chuckled as he began to understand why Satoru was staring. (She looks a lot like Ala! Even her glare is on point.)

(Satoru! Ask her out.) Mirth joked, trying to distract Satoru while also wanting to see him actually do it.

Guardian was deep in thought, wondering where he had heard that name before. (Wait, Ala? Isn't that...)

(Satoru's ex-lover!) Mourn answered joyfully, an uncharacteristic act from her usually sorrowful persona. (Well... I don't know about 'ex,' but she did die.)

"Would all of you shut up!" He stopped mid-battle and shouted into the air.

Hinata looked at him bewildered. "Is something wrong?" She tilted her head, as he was fuming with anger for some reason.

Satoru turned to her, her worried expression overlapping with an old memory he had buried in the past. "No," he answered curtly, averting her gaze. "It's nothing."

(Would all of you shut up! How did you even know about Ala? You didn't exist back then.) Satoru scolded them as they laughed at his reactions.

(It's very easy to read memories, especially since we are still a part of you that you made.) Lumis answered.

(Yeah, yeah, anyway, it looks like your dearest Ala is reborn. Why don't you two get together again?) Mirth playfully suggested.

(I don't know about her being Ala's reincarnation...) Lumis voiced his opinion.

(What do you mean?) Mourn asked.

Lumis started his explanation. (Remember, Hinata, as the Silver Deity said, is one of the few people who are outside the flow of time. So the reincarnation of Ala would not be this 'Hinata.')

(So you're saying the substitute they keep mentioning would be the real reincarnation?) Guardian concluded from Lumis' words.

(Something like that.) Lumis confirmed.

"It doesn't matter to me. I don't plan on doing anything anyway." Satoru murmured.

"By the way, Rimuru explained that you were basically a portion of his soul, right?" Hinata began striking up a conversation as they took a break.

"Something like that," Satoru answered with a shrug.

"Huh, then technically, you're also Rimuru." Hinata thought for a moment. "Do you remember your old reincarnation?"

"I don't know about being Rimuru, but I do remember the life when I was a slime, and the human named Mikami Satoru."

"Hm," Hinata marched toward him, stopping just a couple of inches away to examine Satoru's facial features, which were almost identical to when he had done it to her. "You do look like a Japanese person. I don't know what he looked like as a human, but maybe you look like him when he was younger."

Satoru felt tense with her close proximity, his heartbeat thundering loudly and quickly in his chest.

Aggre and Mirth laughed intensely at Satoru.

(Shut up, you two.) Mourn admonished them, with Guardian and Lumis in agreement.

(But look at Satoru! You'd think someone like him, who has millions of years of experience, would be more used to this and not act all meek.) Mirth protested, not bothering to hold his laughter.

They continued to argue inside his head, but Satoru was too preoccupied with Hinata's gaze and the loud beating of his heart to notice them.

Hinata stepped back and grabbed her sword again. "Could you show me that move from earlier? I haven't seen that before." After having rested, Hinata was eager to try Satoru's techniques.

Satoru shook his head, trying to calm his expression. "Sure, I'll show you." He felt a warm peace seeing Hinata so happy and eager to learn. To the thousands of friends he had made on his journey, they would never believe what they were witnessing here.

Satoru smiled as he gazed at Hinata's own smile.

To others, it may seem like the same neutral expression she always wore, but to him, it was something he had wished to see for thousands, if not millions, of years since Ala's death.

Satoru silently thanked Rimuru deep in his heart. While Hinata might not be the Ala he had known, just having this moment with her was enough for him.

They continued their training until dark, chatting as they returned to the castle.

Luminas giggled, seeing Hinata so open with someone she didn't already know. Hinata rarely opened herself to strangers, especially former enemies. "They look happy."

Satoru and Hinata ended the day with warm smiles on both of their faces.

Note: The reason I had Toru even exist in the story is because I am actually a Hinata x Rimuru fan... Heck I even have a side story about Toru's origin which was discontinued due to focusing on the main story. The side story was 1-2 chapters away from Ala's introduction too!

Hinata is the one I want Rimuru to end up with in Tensura, the three harem members in my story are just 1. Luminas x Rimuru never gets old. 2. I pity Chloe because Rimuru never looks at her. 3. Velgrynd looks hot.

I was planning to add Hinata but three is already a lot and it will just pile up if I add more now.

I have other cut contents but they are only in the 50-150 word counts so I didn't bother adding them. They are only fillers to add word counts anyway, like random conversations.
