....
Rimuru heaved a heavy sigh as he lowered his guard. Staring at his open palm, he closed and opened it slowly, recalling Ivarage, who had already been absorbed into his Imaginary Space and was now being processed.
[Master.]
Ciel's voice called out as her projected form appeared before Rimuru. Though it looked like a physical body, there was nothing truly there. No spiritual presence, no matter. She was simply using his senses to show herself in a form she had grown used to.
"What is it, Ciel?"
[Should we return them home too?]
She pointed toward the blank expanse. Two small figures stood there, far too visible for either of their liking.
Rimuru immediately gagged, eyes snapping shut as he held back the urge to burn the memory from existence. "I never wanted to see that," he muttered, shoulders slumping as he covered his mouth with one hand.
[Why? Haven't you been doing the same with your wives?]
She tilted her head, clearly not understanding the issue.
"There's a difference between that and... whatever that is. I don't want to see them doing it." He forcefully rewrote the memory, obliterating it into nothing. For someone with perfect memory, some things were better erased completely.
[Another thing, Master. I've acquired a new skill from Ivarage.]
"That's not surprising. Did we get her little fragments of omnipotence and omniscience too?" he joked with a weak smile. It was rare for new skills to catch his attention. Normally, Ciel just handled everything on her own, their Ultimate Skills deeply linked, letting her manage nearly everything automatically.
[Yes.]
"...Yes?"
[Ultimate Skill: Lord of Information Akashic Record has merged with Lord of Harvest Shrub Niggurath and God of Void Azathoth. Evolution complete....Resulting Genesis Skill: Lord of Omnipotence and Omniscience, Singular Will.]
"What...?"
Then came the pain.
"Aghhh!?"
His body began to fracture, glowing cracks spreading as his form buckled under the sheer density of power flooding into him. His scream echoed violently, loud enough to shake the End of Space and Time itself. His aura erupted, releasing waves of dark and blindingly bright magicules that collided, merged, and warped into chaotic clusters of unstable matter.
[Calm down, Master. Agitation will only collapse everything.]
Ciel's voice cut through the storm in his mind, steady and composed. She was holding his mental state together as best she could, but the surge wasn't stopping. Visions. Sounds. Concepts. Everything poured into him, collapsing and rebuilding reality within his soul.
Loud murmurings filled his head, a storm of voices, deafening to the soul yet each one disturbingly clear. It was like hearing a thousand voices spoken at once, every word understandable, every thought heavy enough to crush him.
His eyes lost focus as he stared into the infinity flashing before him. His breath came in short, panicked gasps. His arms moved on their own. Nails dug into his chest, tearing his skin and clothes as if pain could somehow bring him back to himself.
"AHHH!!"
Fragments of raw material appeared in the void. The minerals formed for less than a second before collapsing. Compressed magicules created small clusters of magisteel, alienium, and divine steel but none stayed stable. They disintegrated on their own.
A monster appeared in front of him. Humanoid, but bigger. Its body was complete, with multiple limbs and glowing eyes. Rimuru didn't recognize it, but the pressure it gave off was stronger than any True Demon Lord. It didn't speak. It didn't move. Then its body broke apart and vanished completely.
More appeared. Beasts, abominations, things Rimuru had never seen. They all collapsed moments after forming.
Planets appeared in the distance. Some spun too fast. Others just hovered. A few had clouds and oceans already there. All of them disappeared. Sometimes they exploded. Sometimes they faded away without a trace.
Stars flickered on. Entire systems formed from nothing. Then they vanished. Over and over. No time. No order. Just constant creation and erasure.
Empty.
Full.
Empty again.
And through it all, Rimuru screamed.
Even Guy and Velzard, interrupted mid-act, froze as the wave of overwhelming magicules hit them. They didn't hesitate. They backed off immediately, concern flashing in their eyes as they took flight.
Behind them, more worlds blinked into existence and vanished as if they had never been real. Abominations of power began chasing after them, only to burst into pieces just moments later.
"What the hell is happening?!" Guy shouted, speeding through the collapsing space, barely keeping up.
This continued for a good eight minutes.
Rimuru could barely hold his form as each movement, each thought pushed him closer to the edge of complete destruction of his physical body.
He stared forward, visibly silent, as if he were a victim of a mental attack that caused his brain to shut down. He stayed quiet, stayed still, and a smile spread across his face as he watched what will he do next.
"Ciel." Seeing the very actions he would take in the future, he followed along.
[Understood.]
As part of Rimuru himself, Ciel was also witnessing everything her master did. From the infinite visions of the very start of existence to the very end where he remained all alone.
She had seen everything that happened and would happen. Even the next actions the two of them would take were already predetermined, as if following the script of a storyteller or a writer.
As his body began to stabilize, Ciel used the imaginary space to control the Genesis skill. With its own power, she condensed them and sealed them deep in the abyss of Rimuru's soul.
With the loud voices and millions of flashing visions gone from his view, he grabbed at his head and found himself naked. With a flick of his finger, his form was clothed in black pants and a long black sleeveless shirt with white stripes and white boots. He also wore black detached sleeves with gold decorations at the top and a gold collar around his neck.
Looking around, the so-called End of Space and Time was no longer as empty as before. He couldn't help but let out an arrogant smirk as he observed the various galaxies that remained after his rampage was over.
"I guess you could say this is a new prologue after the epilogue of existence itself. A new book if you will."
[Master. Demon Lord Guy Crimson and White Ice Dragon Velzard are stuck in one of the worlds.]
Rimuru laughed and snapped his fingers. The two powerful beings appeared before him. They looked alarmed and ready for battle until they saw who it was.
"Rimuru!" Guy exclaimed as he relaxed. "Did Feldway send you here too?"
"What should we do? Is there any way to go back?" Velzard added.
The Singular Will nodded to the demon and dragon. "No need to worry. We can all return to the moment we left. In fact, the battle is already over. I defeated Ivarage already."
"Here?" Guy raised a brow. He hadn't sensed their arrival in the area unless he meant the sudden big bang and basically the recreation of life itself.
"Yeah, I'll explain later." At his words, their bodies glowed, and they returned back to where Rimuru had brought Ivarage away.
When they arrived, Velgrynd was the first to leap onto him, weeping silently, worried he might never return. He smiled as he brushed her hair, sending the other two to the Cardinal World. They remained still for quite some time.
"What about Ciel?" Velgrynd asked, still holding the Singular Will.
[Right here, Velgrynd.] With a flash in her eyes, she saw Ciel as a projection using her senses. [I have returned to my rightful place, inside Master's soul.]
"Hmp," Velgrynd wiped the tears from her eyes, a smile creeping onto her face. "You make it sound romantic. I am his wife, you know."
"So am I," Chloe said as she teleported to the broken world of Citadel with Luminas.
Luminas looked at Rimuru with a raised brow as she scanned his body. She circled him, her eyes never leaving him. She occasionally grabbed his arms and lifted his clothes before Chloe pulled her away.
"Luminas-san!? What are you doing?" Chloe held Luminas, who was still trying to move toward Rimuru.
"I was just checking out the meal!" Luminas said honestly. "He just seems more appetizing now than ever, for some reason."
Chloe blushed as Velgrynd and Rimuru laughed. "That's probably because I evolved again."
He grabbed at Luminas and embraced the vampire as they twirl around. Luminas was blushing hard as Rimuru's scent was too much even for her. Leaving her a crimson red mess as she hug him back.
Rimuru began retelling the story to all his wives, the fight with Ivarage, the abilities, the evolution, and his new form.
"So, you're literally, in every meaning of the word, God?" Luminas tilted her head, arms crossed as she processed everything. She still found it hard to believe, but the difference in his aura and the way his eyes occasionally went vacant proved something had changed.
Chloe, as if realizing something, turned to Rimuru. "Does that mean you can, "
"See the future and what will happen next." He interrupted her. "You'll act surprised, blush, and look away from embarrassment."
Velgrynd and Luminas watched as Rimuru predicted every action Chloe took. His words came just a second before her own movement, as if he was ordering her to do it rather than simply knowing in advance.
"Wouldn't that be kind of sad?" Velgrynd frowned, realizing the weight of seeing everything that will happen. "How can one live knowing everything is predetermined? Especially being conscious of it."
[Don't worry. I am sealing it away. Master can use the power when he wants, but at a smaller and less mind-breaking level.]
With a sigh of relief, Velgrynd placed a hand on her chest. "That's good to hear."
"Shall we all return home?" With a smile, Rimuru led everyone back to the Cardinal World.
With their arrival, everyone was already waiting in the Barren Lands for the worst care scenario of Rimuru's defeat. They would all in unison fight the World Destroying Dragon Ivarage before she could ruin everything of creation.
"Rimuru!"
"Rimuru-sama!"
"Uncle!"
Various cheers from everyone echoed as Milim hugged him and the primordials all gathered to his side. In a blink of an eye, each and everyone present felt the obvious changes in Rimuru.
Milim was the first to discard the realization as it wasn't something that bothered her. The primordials were merely even more heighten in their zealous behaviour as their master has become a true god.
The seraphim, especially Dino and Zaloria were a bit uncomfortable seeing Veldanava's former status to be pass down to Rimuru. Yet, because it is Rimuru, they don't have much complaint.
The surprising thing though was the arrival of a former enemy.
"....Rimuru.................sama?" As if being pained at calling him with any form of formality, Michael silently and cautiously moved forward with the juvenile Velgaia beside him.
"Michael," Rimuru's tone was almost nostalgic for some reason, he got closer as well, petting Velgaia who nuzzled at his body. "Ciel."
[Understood.] A bright white light left Rimuru's soul as it transferred to Velgaia through Rimuru's hand that was petting his head. [Implantation complete.]
"I apologize for my actions," Michael kneeled down in front of Rimuru. "I merely wish to return to Veldanava-sama!"
With his resolute voice, he pleaded for mercy from the Singular Will.
Rimuru held back a smirk from forming in his face as he recalled what the future awaits the sentient skill. "Do not worry, your wish will come through in time."
Michael looked up as if he was hearing a revelation of something that will truly happen. Knowing that Rimuru has evolve to have gain such level of sight, he wept with joy.
"Fufufu looks like everything will be back to how it was before." Ramiris giggled as she reminisce of when Veldanava was still alive and everything was just normal.
"I'll make sure of it this time," Rimuru declared before turning to Guy. "Looks like you got yourself some new skills, if you follow this route you can revive Rudra in less than a week. Also, here."
With a wave of his hand, a bounded young man with blonde hair was dropped in front of Guy. He had a surprisingly similar appearance to Rudra, the Emperor of the East.
"Found him in Ingrassia a good while back, was planning on using him as leverage on you before, but I don't really need him anymore." Guy nodded as he lifted Masayuki over his shoulders.
"While you're at it, here." A pinkish light was given to Guy who look with a wide expression. "Just the revival of Rudra and Veldanava wouldn't feel right. Let's bring her back too, I'm sure Milim would be happy to have both parents."
Guy and Velzard quickly got to work as they traveled through the realms, finding the fragments needed to revive the siblings.
"Uncle?" Milim tilted her head confuse by his words. She was just happy to be back and spend some time together with everyone.
Ruffling her pink hair, Rimuru smiled reassuringly. "Nothing, everything will be back to normal now."
...
More than a month had passed since Rimuru became the Singular Will. Though that was his title, after a certain action he willingly took, he had also discarded omnipotence and omniscience thus could no longer see everything. He could still tap into the power and consciously activate it, but it was never the same as before, where everything was laid out before him.
It was a sacrifice that, in his own opinion, had barely any downsides. Not to mention the large number of benefits his actions brought.
For example, he smiled as he leaned on his seat.
Watching.
"Let's go there this time, Milim! Kuahahaha!" With short blond hair and tanned skin, a man older than the dragon princess was smiling happily as he flew with his niece.
"Right!" Milim followed eagerly from his side. She was traveling around the world playing tag with the Storm Dragon Veldora, her uncle.
"Seriously, those two." An older version of Milim, with the familiar pink hair, shook her head as she stayed on the ground, preparing food for the two before they returned.
"Let them have some fun, Lucia," said her older brother, Rudra Nasca, as he sat leaned back in his seat on the veranda. His eyes were focused on the chessboard in front of him as Guy Crimson moved his queen to take his knight.
Scratching his head, Rudra fell into deep thought before making a move of his own. "This was so much easier last time. How did this happen?"
The First Hero muttered, finding himself at a disadvantage.
Guy grinned as Velzard sat in the armchair beside him, leaning into his side while she observed the game. "Never thought your two-thousand-year battle could be miniaturized into a mere game of chess."
"Fufufu. If he didn't accept, well, I'd reprimand him myself." Lucia brought drinks and placed one in front of each of them.
She then walked over to Velgaia, who was now the size of an actual adult dragon, bringing cooked meat. For some unknown reason, the fifth True Dragon was growing at a rapid pace. Rimuru had mentioned, implicitly, that he knew the reason and that it wasn't a cause for concern.
Michael stood guard beside Velgaia as the dragon coiled quietly in one spot.
"Here you go, Ga...ia?"
Lucia tilted her head as she noticed something unusual near the fifth True Dragon. Two strange stones sat beside her. One was deep black with white specks, like the night sky. The other was pure white with golden patterns running across its surface.
"Are these... eggs?" she asked, turning to Michael, who stepped beside her and stared at the black egg. His eyes widened as he continued to stare, emotions building before he forced himself to stay composed.
"I thought Gaia was male..." Lucia returned her gaze to the eggs. She felt drawn to the black one with white specks. It reminded her of something, of someone.
Black hair as dark as night itself. White specks like stars scattered across the sky. The familiar face, the smile, and the touch.
She knelt down and gently picked up the black egg.
"Welcome back," she whispered softly, placing a small kiss on the hard shell.
"Gaia!" Milim dropped down in a rush, surprisingly, there were no tremors or dust as she landed. She wouldn't dare do that, especially with her mother nearby. "Are those eggs?!"
Her eyes beamed as she held the white one high, running to the others to show them. "Look, look Gaia laid an egg!"
Guy was the first to react, he had an inexplainable feeling of restlessness from the sight of the egg. He didn't voice it, only he and Velzard were the ones who reacted. Rudra was ruffling the dragon princess hair as she showed the white egg.
Rimuru laughed as he stood up from his throne.
"Rimuru-sama," Diablo bowed as the primordials awaited his orders. "Everyone is ready, please say the word and we will begin our conquest!"
"Fufufufu we will make sure to preach those ignorant fools born from Rimuru-sama's divine magicules about the person they should truly be worshipping." A cruel smile crept its way on Testarossa's face.
"Attempting to create their own false gods," Carrera cracked her knuckles as her ultimate skill was raring to go.
"They even dare to invade us 'here' in the present when they are so far into the 'End'" Ultima added as the demons were all ready.
With a simply wave of Rimuru's hand, the primordials and the high ranking demons were sent to the formerly known as End of Space and Time, otherwise known as simply 'End'.
With the galaxies that remained back then, life and sentience were birth as they slowly began to harness the powers they got. Even managing to manipulate the concept of Time and Space, albeit imperfectly.
Agni stepped forward with a report in hand, "Rimuru-sama, the intruders that attempted to contact the past Ivarage have been dealt with. Runa is currently finish her own mission she should finish and return in a few seconds."
"Rimuru-sama," As he said so, Runa appeared out of thin air. "I have stopped the group about to enter the past when Demon Lord Milim first went on a rampage."
Agni and Runa were task with reining them in and preventing them from disrupting the timeline of the past. They bowed as they returned back to work, waiting for more intruders in the timeline.
Rimuru walked outside the castle as he observed his kingdom. He was in the Jura Forest, as he opened the doors. The bustling streets filled with creatures of all races kneeled at the sight of him. Each and everyone acting in unison as if their bodies were controlled.
He let out a small laugh as he found a few not doing the action, Hinata can be seen below munching on some snacks with Shizu and the children. He waved back as they noticed him.
"How divine of you," Velgrynd teased as she leaned her body on his right side. "Does His Exalted One wish to dine with this lowly dragon~"
Grabbing her by the waist, he joined in on the slight teasing. "Will this lowly dragon offer something worthy for me to devour?"
His touch growing more intimate by the second, she blushed as she quickly moved back and offered a knowing smile before running away.
Rimuru chuckled as followed behind.
"Oh, Rimuru-san!" Chloe waved as she placed the last plate on the table. "I really tried this time, it should taste better than before."
"Fufufufu," Luminas puffed her chest as the delicacies she made were the best out of the three. "No need to hold back."
He couldn't help but smile, from the Silver Primordial Argent.
No.
From the slime Rimuru,
No.
From the human Mikami Satoru, who would ever believe that this would be how his story would go. In the dining room, with his wives. The Hero that transcends time, a True Dragon that is the sister of the Creator, and the Vampire Princess daughter of the Original Ancestor.
"This world, this reality, or more specifically this version of me." He murmured to himself, he had gone through many lives if what Chloe says is to be believed in.
In each and everyone of those, I would die and lose those things that are precious to me.
But this life, this version of me, this very timeline that changed it all.
One where he was reborn as a demon, a primordial, the Silver Primordial.
"The Silver Timeline is it..." He smiled as he glanced back.
"Fitting. Don't you think?"
A/N: I was deliberating so much if I want him to break the fourth wall. I find those type of stories too cringy and overuse. But alas, the name drop was something I needed to see happen even as an ending.
This is the end!!! WTF is the meaning of life anymore!!! Just kidding, I still have two other stories simmering. Blood vows should be posted in a few months.
I love you guys, to those that stick with Silver Timeline(Draft) for the past, what, almost 3 years now? I can't believe you're still here. I appreciate each and everyone of you.
