Volume 1, Chapter 10 – The Name of 【Fairy】 (Part 2)
The tall man looked toward Xingyu Muxi, his gaze turning cold and sharp.
“What a coincidence. Out of all the beginner’s villages, it just had to be you and me who spawned in the same one, huh…”
“Tell me, isn’t this fate, Fairy?”
It seemed clear that this tall man knew Xingyu Muxi.
But Xingyu Muxi didn’t respond to him. Instead, she crouched down in front of Tianyin and gently smoothed out the wrinkles on the girl’s dress with her slender hands.
“Sister Xiaomu?”
Tianyin’s voice was filled with confusion.
Yet Xingyu Muxi’s expression remained calm. She even smiled softly as she looked at her.
“Didn’t Sister Xiaomu just say that there would soon be fewer players around here?”
Remembering what Xingyu Muxi had said earlier, Tianyin suddenly realized what she meant.
“So Sister Xiaomu already foresaw this happening?”
“Silly Xiaoyin, it’s not foresight. I just happened to notice it earlier, that’s all~”

With a slightly helpless tone, Xingyu Muxi raised her index finger and gently tapped Tianyin’s nose.
“…Sister Xiaomu, I’m not stupid!”
“Yes yes, Xiaoyin’s the smartest. So just be a good girl and stay here for now, okay~?”
“Eh…?”
Tianyin didn’t quite understand what Xingyu Muxi meant at first.
But she realized it soon enough, because the girl in front of her was now taking the wooden bow from her back into her hands.
Seeing her readying the bow, the armored man clicked his tongue in disdain.
“A level 5 player doesn’t even deserve my attention. And with this many men under me, no matter how strong you are, you can’t win.”
His gaze grew more and more contemptuous.
“This time, we’ll make sure you bow before Guild Leader Xuanyuan Ni. Brothers, send that so-called famous ‘Fairy’ straight back to the respawn point!”
“Wooooooah!”

As his words fell, the players behind him erupted in cheers.
Melee players raised their swords and charged toward Xingyu Muxi, while ranged players aimed their wands and bows in her direction.
There were only a little over a hundred of them, but in the current beginner’s area, being able to gather a hundred higher-level players so easily showed just how powerful the Xuanyuan Alliance truly was.
The atmosphere instantly grew heavy as the guild launched their assault on Xingyu Muxi.
Though they weren’t screaming like on a real battlefield, the fighting spirit burning in their eyes was unmistakable.
“Sister Xiaomu…”
Tianyin stood frozen in place, worry written all over her face, but Xingyu Muxi didn’t seem to hear her.
“…Haa.”
The girl who stood alone against over a hundred charging players took a deep breath, long and steady.
Her jet-black hair fluttered gently in the breeze.
And then…

Even without any arrows in her hand, Xingyu Muxi slowly drew back the bowstring of her wooden bow with her delicate fingers.
The bow was pulled taut.
The instant she did so, the armored man, who had been watching with mild amusement, suddenly widened his eyes in shock.
“Wait, that’s—”
Before he could finish, dark light began to glow at Xingyu Muxi’s fingertips where she held the string.
In an instant, countless particles appeared out of thin air, gathering at her fingertips, forming into a tangible arrow of shadow upon the string.
In the next heartbeat, Xingyu Muxi released her fingers.
Whizz—!
The sharp, slicing sound cut through the air, a noise only something deadly fast and precise could make.
In Tianyin’s eyes, dozens of arrows flew from Xingyu Muxi’s simple wooden bow in a blur too fast to follow.
A heartbeat later—

“Ah—!”
“What the… what skill is that?!”
“Healer! Heal! Quickly!”
“Where’s the mage?! Cast a shield!”
The melee players charging at Xingyu Muxi fell into complete chaos after just one attack.
And among the hundred players, several of the lower-level ones with the weakest HP turned into white light, disappearing from the field entirely after being struck.
Tianyin stood there, completely stunned. Even the armored man’s eyes now showed a complex emotion.
Then there was the red-haired girl, the one who had refused to leave earlier.
At this moment, her wide eyes were filled not only with shock, but with a faint, fiery glimmer of awe and worship.
As if she were looking at her idol.
