Volume 2, Chapter 58 – Sudden Arrival
“Wuu… Sister Xiaomu… I…”
Although she didn’t particularly dislike being protected by Xingyu Muxi, Tianyin still felt a mix of emotions. While she was touched, she also thought about her current self.
Now, she too had gained the ability to protect the people around her to some extent, no longer the same as before, unable to protect anyone and only able to be protected, powerless to do anything.
Even though Xingyu Muxi and Xiaomengyao were both players, and Tianyin knew they were players, beings who could infinitely resurrect, even so, she still didn’t want to see them die in front of her eyes.
No matter what, even if this was just a game, she couldn’t allow anyone to die.
That was the vow Tianyin quietly made in her heart.
However, though that was what she felt deep down, her words came out calm and steady.
“Sister Xiaomu, even though these people are all coming for me, please don’t worry too much.”
Tianyin smiled as she spoke, her gaze filled with determination.
Without realizing it, the little girl who once helplessly cried after tripping on flat ground had grown strong enough to face the danger ahead head-on.
Although part of her courage came from the power of the Seven Deadly Sins, at the core of it, Tianyin’s state of mind now was far, far stronger than before.

“Xiaoyin… will you really be okay?”
Xingyu Muxi still looked deeply worried. At her side, the loli apprentice Xiaomengyao also seemed anxious.
On one hand, Xiaomengyao was worried because she knew her Master’s true Throne-class strength.
On the other hand, although Xingyu Muxi knew Tianyin had become extremely powerful, strong enough to overwhelm even Legendaries, perhaps even rivaling Thrones, to her, Tianyin was still just a little girl.
So her worry was inevitable.
Moreover, there was something Xingyu Muxi understood very clearly, even though Tianyin was only an NPC, from the very first time she laid eyes on her, perhaps just a fleeting moment, that little girl had already become the most important existence in her life…
“It’s okay, Sister Xiaomu, and you too, Xiaomengyao. Don’t worry…”
Tianyin continued to reassure them, but then, in her mind, the voice of Samael, who had just fallen silent, suddenly echoed again.
「Xiaoyin, she’s coming…」
Just a few simple words.

But the instant the voice faded, the enormous Frost Dragon in the sky suddenly flapped its immense bone wings that stretched to the horizon. As a storm of wind howled, it swooped toward Tianyin at terrifying speed.
“Danger!”
“Everyone, on guard!”
As the Frost Dragon suddenly made its move, all the NPCs present, under Sharl and Orgum’s command, immediately raised their weapons, drew their bows, and readied themselves to engage in battle at any moment.
Although their composure in the face of such danger was admirable, If one looked closer, they would notice that every soldier’s gaze, without exception, was instinctively drawn toward Tianyin.
That instinct was because the one before them, this girl possessing Throne-class power, was the very reason they could still stand here and continue to fight.
“Sister Xiaomu, when the battle begins, please take Xiaomengyao and lead everyone away from here.”
Watching the Frost Dragon draw ever nearer, Tianyin spoke calmly.
Although Xingyu Muxi wanted to refuse, she knew with her own strength she wouldn’t be able to help. So, in the end, she nodded in understanding and reluctantly agreed.
And in the unseen depths of Tianyin’s eyes, her once-normal pupils began to glow an increasingly scarlet and bewitching hue. Looking closely, one could see faint, blood-colored light flickering within her gaze.

Then, before everyone’s eyes, the massive figure of the Frost Dragon, vast enough to blot out the sky, grew larger and larger. In just a few breaths, the distance that once seemed so far vanished in an instant as the dragon’s flight carried it close.
The next moment, an overwhelming, suffocating aura erupted from Tianyin’s body, and not far above her, the Frost Dragon arrived, her immense head filling the sky. Those huge, glacial eyes glared down, locking directly onto Tianyin.
Clearly, the Frost Dragon recognized her, recognized the girl who had crushed it with ease at the Northern Fortress.
No, it wasn’t even recognition. She had found her immediately, the one whose image had been seared into its memory.
『Samael… I’ll leave the rest to—』
Just as Tianyin was about to hand over control of her body to Samael, the Frost Dragon before her suddenly lowered its head.
Yes. Without warning. Without reason.
That sudden gesture made Tianyin freeze mid-thought. Even the NPCs, who were bracing for a battle to the death, stopped in stunned silence. For a moment forgetting entirely what kind of terrifying existence they were facing.
It was simply too strange.
A being as proud as a Throne-class Frost Dragon, why would it suddenly lower its head before Tianyin?

Logically speaking, a dragon would only bow to its master… Or to its lord.
Such gestures of submission were unthinkable for a race as arrogant as dragons.
So, why… Why would it bow to Tianyin?
As confusion filled everyone’s minds, The answer was revealed the very next moment.
From atop the Frost Dragon’s head, a man clad entirely in pitch-black armor slowly appeared before their eyes.
And though behind him stood a stunning girl in a blood-red dress, her beauty not inferior to Xingyu Muxi’s, no one could bring themselves to look at her.
Not because she wasn’t captivating, but because the man who appeared… The aura emanating from him completely eclipsed even the Throne-class might of the Frost Dragon herself.
As the man walked forward with calm, deliberate steps, the entire world seemed to grow heavier with each one.
