Volume 2, Chapter 59 – One of the Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath
Throne-class?
The instant the man appeared before her, Tianyin could already faintly sense it. The truth was clear to her, this man who had suddenly walked out… if her guess was right, then the one standing before her was a Throne-class existence.
Quietly clenching her fists, Tianyin fixed her gaze on the man calmly walking toward her. At the same time, an overwhelming pressure, something she had never experienced before, began to bear down on her from all directions.
「Xiaoyin… the man before you is strong. Stronger than I ever was, even at my peak…」
Samael’s voice echoed leisurely in her mind. It sounded casual as always, but Tianyin could hear the weight behind it, seriousness, and even a hint of respect.
『Samael… if I’m not mistaken, this man is also a Throne-class. But in the Graveyard, there are only two Thrones… which means he must be…』
Tianyin stopped speaking. There was no need to continue. The truth was obvious, the man in black armor who had stepped down from the Frost Dragon Ysera’s head…
He was none other than the Supreme Ruler of the Graveyard, the Throne-class being who had existed since a million years ago and still lived to this day…
The Undead Grand Duke, Sargus.
「It should be him, Xiaoyin. I can’t promise I can defeat him, but I can guarantee I’ll get you out of here in one piece within five minutes.」
『What about Sister Xiaomu, Xiaomengyao, Sharl, and Orgum?』
「Sorry. Against the Undead Grand Duke himself, even I can’t promise to save anyone else right in front of him…」
Samael’s answer was cruel, but it was also proof of just how powerful the Undead Grand Duke Sargus truly was.
Although the Frost Dragon Ysera was also a Throne, in the end, it was only a newly born one. Sargus, however, was a Throne who stood at the very peak of the world.

Calling him the most powerful being in existence was no exaggeration.
『Samael… what should we do next?』
Just as Tianyin was about to ask further, Sargus had already, without her noticing, walked right up to her. Behind him, the stunning girl who had been following him, Lilith, stood quietly at his back.
The very next second, before Tianyin could even react, the surrounding NPCs did.
“Protect the Lady!”
Sharl shouted, raising his sword, rallying his soldiers to surround Tianyin. At the same time, Orgum’s face turned grim as he led the remaining beastman warriors to block Sargus’ retreat.
Their reactions were swift and disciplined, but Tianyin knew… If Sargus wanted to strike, none of them could even survive one blow from him.
“Nice to meet you.”
Noticing Tianyin’s gaze, Sargus ignored the encircling NPC soldiers entirely and greeted her in a calm, natural tone.
“I’m sure you already have some idea who I am, but introductions are a matter of courtesy.”
As he said this, under Tianyin’s wary stare, Sargus slowly raised his hand and removed his helmet.
Revealed first was his silver-white hair, followed by a weathered yet resolute face. He looked very old, but there was a dangerous air about him that made the skin crawl.
“I am Sargus, leader of the Graveyard, the Undead Grand Duke.”

It was a simple introduction. Yet those few words froze the air itself.
At the mention of “leader of the Graveyard” and “Undead Grand Duke,” not a single NPC dared to breathe.
Sargus, however, seemed completely unaware of their fear. Instead, he naturally introduced the one standing behind him.
“This is Lilith, one of the upper echelons of the Graveyard. She may look like a girl, but she is in fact the progenitor of all vampires, the True Ancestor of Vampires.”
As he introduced her, the girl behind him, Lilith, smiled gently at Tianyin.
Meanwhile, Tianyin struggled to steady her chaotic emotions.
“Sargus… Undead Grand Duke Sargus. Why have you suddenly appeared here? What do you want?”
Though her heart was in turmoil, Tianyin still wanted to understand his intentions.
But to her surprise, Sargus didn’t seem hostile at all.
“What do I want, you ask?”
His expression remained unreadable, his tone calm as ever.
“Actually, I did intend to seek you out before, little one… but now, I’ve changed my mind.”
“Changed your mind?”

Tianyin blinked in confusion.
“Yes. But before that, I have one question I wish to ask you.”
His gaze turned serious.
“Tianyin… you, who possess Throne-class power, I would like to invite you to join our Graveyard.”
His words were spoken slowly and clearly, yet they left Tianyin completely stunned.
No, not stunned, she simply couldn’t process it for a moment. After all, he had come all this way, bringing a Frost Dragon with him… just to invite her to join the Graveyard?
That seemed… overly dramatic.
“I’m sorry, but I will not join the Graveyard.”
“Not joining?”
Sargus’s expression didn’t change, as though he had already expected her answer. He sounded almost regretful, but his tone remained utterly emotionless.
“That is understandable. After all, in your eyes, the undead of the Graveyard are evil beings. I won’t force you.”
He spoke calmly.
“Then, let us move on to the real reason I’m here.”

As he said this, Sargus slowly raised his right hand toward Tianyin.
And the moment he did, the aura behind him erupted, the True Ancestor of Vampires Lilith and the Frost Dragon Ysera both unleashed the overwhelming power of their Legendary and Throne-class might, their pressure crushing down on every weaker being around them.
“My Lady!”
“Xiaoyin!”
“Master!”
Anxious voices cried out in her ears.
But at that moment, Tianyin realized something terrifying, the instant Sargus had raised his hand, her body… no longer moved.
Yes, she couldn’t move.
She could still see, still hear, still feel the world around her, but she couldn’t control her own body, as though someone else had taken the controller away from her…
“Now then, let’s have a little talk, just between the two of us.”
Sargus’s voice, soft, dark, and smooth like a demon’s whisper, echoed in her ears.
“One of the Seven Deadly Sins… Wrath.”
