Volume 2, Chapter 75 – The Mass Game Quit
Although the contents of the post that followed didn’t seem very long, if one didn’t immediately doubt whether it was fake or not, just the claim that a Skeleton Soldier had appeared in the real world was enough to shock the entire community.
And judging from the information revealed in the post, it seemed that the player with the ID “Yunchou” had actually turned into an undead being in real life.
Undead? The kind of grotesque creature whose flesh had long since decayed, yet whose soul lingered inside its rotting body.
Every player who saw that post couldn’t help but form a big question mark in their minds.
Even though the information was clear enough, most of them instinctively believed it was just a particularly convincing “April Fools’ joke.”
Of course, it wasn’t even April, but that didn’t stop people from assuming it was a prank.
Holding that thought, many players scrolled down to the comments, expecting to see “Yunchou,” the post’s author, being mercilessly ridiculed and flamed by the ever-creative internet users.
However, things were not at all as those latecomers expected.
Instead of angry insults and mocking laughter, the comments were filled with panic, confusion, and desperation.
“I joined the Graveyard not long ago. At first, everything seemed normal. But over time, I started feeling something was wrong with my body. I thought I was just sick, but after reading the post, I realized I might actually be turning into one of the Graveyard’s undead! What do I do?! I don’t want to become an undead! Ahhhhhhh!!!”
“These past few days, everything I used to love eating suddenly tastes awful. I thought I was developing anorexia or something, but now I get it, the undead don’t eat at all! And this morning, my teeth started falling out! I’m seriously freaking out right now…”

“Brothers of the Graveyard… My situation’s the same. My family said my body felt icy cold this morning. I thought I was sick, so I went to the hospital, but the doctor said I had no heartbeat! I even thought the hospital had sent a fake doctor, but now I realize he wasn’t fake at all… I really don’t have a heartbeat anymore…”
“Me too…”
Scrolling through the comments, one could see that almost every reply came from Graveyard players, each describing strange and horrifying changes happening to their bodies.
Their bodies were, without exception, showing signs of transformation into undead beings…
Some had gone colorblind.
Some had lost their sense of taste, smell, or touch.
Some had hearts that no longer beat, blood that no longer flowed, and yet, despite the coldness of their bodies, they could still move around as if alive.
And some… had started to rot, their flesh giving off a foul stench.
After reading through those comments, players finally understood, this post from “Yunchou” was not a prank.
It was real.

If what these Graveyard players were describing was truly happening, then was this so-called “virtual game,” Subworld, really still just a game?
Soon, the news about Graveyard players transforming into undead began to spread across the internet. More and more posts from Graveyard players begging for help started popping up on the forums, one after another, like mushrooms after rain.
Even those who had stubbornly insisted it was all just an elaborate hoax began to believe it after seeing how many new threads were reporting the same horrifying symptoms.
Within just two hours, word about Graveyard players turning into undead had spread beyond the gaming world, it had even reached the ears of the world government.
Players everywhere demanded that the world government give them an explanation. However, faced with a potential undead crisis that could throw the world into chaos if handled poorly, the government merely issued a single statement.
“This matter does not fall under government jurisdiction. Please contact the game’s official representatives.”
So the players turned to the game’s official developers for answers… only to receive a reply that enraged every single one of them.
The official response read:
“Everything is normal.”
Everything. Is. Normal.

Those short words were enough to ignite a firestorm of anger among the players.
Within the next hour, furious Graveyard players began shouting slogans demanding refunds and account deletions.
“Delete account! Quit the game! Return our money!”
The developers’ refusal to take responsibility only fueled the flames, especially among those who were continuing to transform further into undead.
Two hours later, the official response to the players’ outcry appeared again.
“Play if you want. If not, get lost.”
Outrageous!
Not only had they ruined their players’ lives, they even had the gall to respond with such arrogance!
Outraged, the Graveyard players’ fury boiled over. Some highly skilled tech players began attacking the official website directly. But what shocked everyone even more was that the attacks were completely repelled. Not only that, within moments, the hackers’ own computers froze and shut down entirely.
In the end, the players had no choice but to resort to the only way they could leave the game, deleting their accounts.

And in this game, there was only one way to do that: die repeatedly until your level dropped to 1, and only then could your account be deleted.
Thus, something strange began happening in the world of Subworld.
Countless Graveyard players, once commanding armies of undead, began seeking every possible way to die.
Within just a few hours, nearly half of the Graveyard players successfully reset their levels to 1 and deleted their accounts. The other half hesitated, hoping the developers might step in with a fix before it was too late.
But just one hour after the mass account deletions began, another shocking message began spreading rapidly among the Graveyard players…
“After deleting your account and re-entering the game with a new character from any faction other than the Graveyard, your real body will gradually return to normal.”
Shock.
This news gave desperate players hope. Those who were already deleting their accounts did so with even more determination, and those who had been hesitating began doing the same.
And just as the Graveyard players began their collective exodus, the original post by “Yunchou,” the one who had first revealed the truth, once again appeared before the world’s eyes.
