Volume 2, Chapter 92 – The Chaotic Main World

Time passed quickly. In the blink of an eye, three days had already gone by.

After that day, when Xiaomengyao woke up, she never again mentioned anything about her brother. Although on the surface she seemed fine, Tianyin noticed that Xiaomengyao appeared to have matured all of a sudden.

On the second day after Xiaomengyao’s brother disappeared, Xingyu Muxi mobilized her family’s influence and quickly located Xiaomengyao’s real-world address, then brought her over and started taking care of her as though she were her own little sister.

That being said, the fact remained that Xiaomengyao’s brother had indeed disappeared.

During these three days, Tianyin wasn’t only busy with the construction of the faction and comforting the depressed Xiaomengyao. At the same time, she began closely monitoring the movements of the Graveyard Undead.

Not only because that player named Yunchou had objectives related to the Undead, but also because Tianyin had once promised Sargus something…

Although she didn’t know if that promise would ever come to fruition, that was still one of the reasons why Tianyin was keeping such a close eye on the Graveyard’s recent activity.

And in truth, during these past three days, the entire Graveyard seemed to have gone into a frenzy. Except for the Fortress, which still hadn’t revealed itself, every other major faction had suffered varying degrees of attacks from the Graveyard.

Unlike the Kingdoms and Strongholds, which had already been forced into a turtle-like defense after being beaten down by the Graveyard, the other factions, though initially caught off guard by the sudden assaults, soon regrouped, and the Graveyard failed to secure any major advantage.

Quite the opposite, in fact. The major factions that were ambushed became furious and began fully engaging in the war against the Graveyard.

In just three days, the entire Main World had turned into utter chaos.

The Kingdom and Stronghold struggled to hold their ground, while the elves of the Nature faction led their armies through the Elven Empire’s Plane Portal and clashed head-on with the Graveyard on the frontlines.

As for why the Nature faction could stand toe-to-toe with the Graveyard, that was because they had the confidence to do so.

The Mountain Giants, massive in size and incredibly durable, were unmatched on the battlefield. Fairy Dragons, small in stature but masters of all kinds of Draconic Magic, were the best possible units for wiping out hordes of skeletons. Not to mention Nature’s Treants and Chimeras, which were among the top-tier elite units.

Just these elite forces alone were capable of annihilating skeleton armies ten or even a hundred times their number.

So while the Nature faction didn’t have the same quantity as the Graveyard, their quality crushed them completely.

Meanwhile, under the Heavenly Father’s command, the Sanctuary had dispatched legions of angels. On the defensive fronts of the Kingdom and Stronghold, winged angels could now be seen repelling waves of Graveyard assaults.

Although nearly every faction had joined the war against the Graveyard within these three days, the overall balance of victory still tilted in the Graveyard’s favor.

The sheer number of Graveyard undead was simply overwhelming.

On the battlefields, whether in Nature’s territory or elsewhere, as far as the eye could see, stretching all the way to the horizon, there were nothing but endless seas of white skeletons. It was as though these undead could never be killed off completely.

Even though every single undead soldier had to pay tenfold or even hundredfold casualties for every enemy they felled, and logically speaking, the Graveyard’s losses should have far exceeded those of the other factions, after three full days of war, in everyone’s eyes, the Graveyard’s skeleton armies remained just as numerous as ever. It looked as though they hadn’t diminished at all.

Meanwhile, the living forces of the other factions were dwindling at a rate visible to the naked eye.

Sensing that something was wrong, the Nature faction changed tactics, shifting from a head-on confrontation to a deliberate defensive strategy.

Of course, unbeknownst to the common players and soldiers, the leaders of the seven major factions had already begun holding secret meetings in private.

But the war itself showed no signs of stopping.

Half of the Main World’s territories had already fallen under Graveyard control. Every being with life and intelligence began to fear for the future of the Main World.

The “Undead Threat Theory” started spreading through the areas that hadn’t yet fallen.

Could the Graveyard really sweep across the entire Main World?

Tianyin didn’t know how to answer that question. But one thing was certain, in the near future, there would be a decisive battle that would determine the outcome of this war. Whichever side emerged victorious would decide the fate of the entire Main World.

“Haa… Only three days have passed, and the outside world’s already become this chaotic?”

Tianyin sighed softly.

At that moment, before her eyes, the System interface popped open, displaying the attribute panel for her faction’s city.

Despite how long it felt, the city had managed to level up to Lv2 in just three days. All of its upper limits had increased tenfold compared to before.

In addition, Eden’s city walls had grown significantly taller after the upgrade, and new attributes had been added to them.

════════♡════════ ❀ Eden ❀ ────────♡──────── ✿ City Level: Lv2 ────────♡──────── ✿ Wall Attribute: ❀ Rune Wall: The city walls are inscribed with defensive runes that directly reduce incoming damage by 50% and possess powerful self-repairing capabilities. ────────♡──────── ✿ City Effect: ❀ Refugee Attraction: The city possesses a hidden attribute that draws in refugees. Under this effect, refugees displaced by war will instinctively drift toward this location and join Eden, becoming part of its population. ════════♡════════

Just from reading that description, Tianyin could already tell how powerful the upgraded effect was.

In other words, regardless of whether Eden was inside Graveyard-controlled territory or not, refugees displaced by the war, NPCs wandering without homes, would subconsciously move toward Eden.

And once they found the city, they would naturally settle in.

Refugees…

Given that this war had engulfed the entire Main World, the number of displaced NPCs in Graveyard-occupied regions was countless.

If even a small portion of them were drawn to Eden…

That would mean the city, which now had a population cap of 500,000, could refill its numbers in a very short period of time.

That alone was already incredible.

And with the large plus sign next to the city’s name, along with the massive stockpile of resources Sister Xiaomu had previously charged into the city’s warehouse, Tianyin couldn’t help but think that leveling Eden up once more… might not actually be that difficult.
