Volume 2, Chapter 98 – The Players’ Unity
While Tianyin and Xingyu Muxi were still thinking about how to develop the frail and fragile Dawn, in the Main World, the offensive of the Undead was growing increasingly terrifying.
At the same time as the secret meeting between the five faction leaders, the Grand Duke of the Undead, Sargus, secretly met with a mysterious person. However, none of the upper echelons of the Graveyard knew about this person.
To the high-ranking members of the Graveyard, the domination of the entire Main World by the Undead was already a matter of certainty, and their long-awaited desire for vengeance was about to be realized.
Even if someone were to suddenly appear at this moment, demanding that they stop, the upper echelons of the Graveyard would not only ignore it, but would be furious at the mere suggestion.
The Undead did not tire. They did not know what darkness was. They did not know what light was. In their eyes, day and night were both dull and lifeless, filled only with the stillness of death.
Thus, for these tireless Undead, attacking, relentless, mad assault, was what they wanted most and what they loved most.
To sweep across the entire world, to face the seven great factions head-on. When one Undead fell, ten more, a hundred more would take its place.
Though the Undead were fragile beings in truth, their endless advance, their fearless resolve, their unceasing march without rest, that was what made them truly horrifying.
These Undead… were nothing more than monsters, machines born solely for slaughter.
Even the demons of the Infernal Abyss, for all their cruelty and cunning, knew what fear was. They could still feel dread.
But the Undead were different. Up to this moment, not a single one had ever fled out of fear or panic.

To the Undead, fear was meaningless. The ones who should feel fear were their enemies standing across the battlefield.
After one full day and night of ceaseless war, the Graveyard’s front line in the Main World had advanced over a hundred kilometers. By the next day, the expansion became even more outrageous, the advance exceeded the first day by another hundred kilometers.
At this rate, if the Graveyard continued to push forward, then no matter how vast the lands of the Main World were, it was only a matter of time before the entire world became the Graveyard’s backyard.
But… was the Graveyard truly that powerful?
On the official game forum, the player who had previously leaked classified information, Yunchou, appeared once again before the world’s eyes.
And this time, the post he published sent a shock through everyone, especially those players who had already left the Graveyard, and those who were hesitating, uncertain whether to stay or defect.
Indeed, there were still many players who hadn’t left the Graveyard faction. Ever since that incident, when the real world’s people began turning into the Undead, almost all players had realized that there was something deeply wrong with this game.
They didn’t yet understand what exactly was wrong, but some opportunists had joined the Graveyard anyway, hoping that the next “mutation” would somehow benefit them.
And this time, Yunchou posted the following message:
“Everyone knows the Graveyard’s strength has already been recognized by all.”

“I’m sure most of you believe the Graveyard’s domination of the entire Main World is now a foregone conclusion, right?”
“However, what I want to say is… this is not necessarily true.”
“Since the game’s structure was designed around eight factions, it’s impossible that the developers would allow one faction, the Graveyard, to single-handedly crush the other seven. Such an unbalanced design would be an enormous flaw. If I were the game’s designer, I would never create such an unsolvable imbalance.”
“Some of you might think, after the last Undead incident, that this game has long ceased to be a mere virtual game. Even so, I still believe the Graveyard’s future is far from certain.”
“The seven great factions will never sit idly by and allow the Graveyard to become the ruler of the world. Remember, none of the Throne-class beings of the seven factions have made their move yet.”
“So the outcome of this struggle is not yet decided. It’s true that the Graveyard has grown strong, unmatched by any single faction. But all things that reach their peak must decline, and I believe you all understand this truth. Especially for a faction like the Graveyard, which has already made the entire world its enemy.”
“I can already see its downfall.”
“And now, I think it’s time for us players to let the NPCs in this world realize how powerful we truly are.”
“Though we seem weak, we players are an incredibly united group. And to those of you still in the Graveyard, surely you don’t want to live in the real world as half-human, half-ghost Undead, do you?”
“So, I have a plan.”

“We Graveyard players will leak the Graveyard’s military movements to the allied factions’ players, and when the time comes, we’ll strike back against the Graveyard itself.”
“I call this plan… Pull The Firewood From Under The Cauldron 1 Chinese idiom, take drastic measures to solve a problem at its root. .”
“The Graveyard may be strong, but I believe that in the face of our united front, its fall is only a matter of time!”
“That is all.”
After Yunchou posted this, the likes on his thread increased at a geometric rate.
More and more players flooded the post with comments, most actively among them were former Graveyard players, and it was they who most strongly supported the plan.
The allied players were, of course, delighted to see former Graveyard players joining hands with them. They, too, expressed full support for the plan.
Even those still within the Graveyard faction, after weighing the pros and cons, agreed to participate.
After all, no one wanted to end up in the real world as something neither human nor ghost.
Thus, less than half a day after Yunchou’s post went live, the opinions of the game’s player base aligned for the first time in history, to unite, and to bring down the once-dominant Graveyard.

In response, several major guilds within the game established a temporary command center to coordinate the movements of all players.
In just one night, the “Anti-Graveyard Frontline” was declared formed.
And the very next day, the upper echelons of the Graveyard discovered that the allied factions, who had been helpless just yesterday, had suddenly become as if reborn, every single opponent now difficult to deal with.
Not only that, every movement of the Graveyard’s armies seemed to be anticipated by the enemy in advance.
Every attack fell flat. And sometimes, the troops sent out would be ambushed mid-route, returning not only empty-handed but also with heavy casualties.
Facing the suddenly transformed allied army, the Graveyard’s commanders were left in complete confusion.
Why had the coalition suddenly become so formidable?
Just yesterday, the alliance could not even resist under the Graveyard’s onslaught, yet now they were able to fight back and forth on equal footing.
