Volume 2, Chapter 99 – The Final Battle Begins
A conspiracy. Was there one…?
The abnormal behavior of the coalition forces gave the Graveyard’s upper echelons only one impression, there was a conspiracy at play. After all, such a drastic change was far too strange. They had been helpless just yesterday, yet overnight, they suddenly became so formidable?
Too strange. When something behaves abnormally, there must be something behind it.
Even though the Graveyard’s Legendary-ranked commanders sensed that something was wrong, none of them could have guessed that this was all the work of the players.
On the contrary, the high command of the Graveyard believed that while the coalition’s actions might indeed hint at a hidden scheme, under the iron hooves of the Undead army, any conspiracy would be nothing more than the dying struggle of the weak.
After all, no scheme could ever stand against absolute power.
And now, the dawn of victory has arrived.
“At all costs, launch a full-scale offensive.”
Finally, under unified command, the entire Graveyard force launched its last, all-out attack.
Countless seas of skeletons surged forward along every battlefront, while in the sky above, endless flocks of bone dragons darkened the heavens.
This time, everyone understood, the Graveyard no longer wished to slowly consume the Main World piece by piece. What the Graveyard wanted was a decisive battle against the coalition of the seven great factions.
A decisive battle!

To stake everything on this one fight, to end it all in a single war, and take the final step toward the unification of the Main World.
The Graveyard was demanding a decisive confrontation.
Ironically, the espionage efforts of the players hadn’t helped the coalition at all. On the contrary, it backfired, provoking the Graveyard’s high command into committing to a total war with the seven-faction coalition.
But… could the Graveyard really win this battle?
The time came on the fifth day of the secret meeting between the five faction leaders. By then, the Graveyard’s main army had already advanced deep into the heart of the Elven Empire of the Main World.
At the foot of Hyjal Holy Mountain, where the World Tree, Yggdrasil, stood tall.
There, the coalition, relentlessly pursued by the Graveyard, could retreat no further, for behind Hyjal Holy Mountain lay the imperial capital of the Elven Empire. And atop the mountain was the sacred World Tree, Yggdrasil, the divine tree the elves had guarded day and night since time immemorial.
No matter how one looked at it, Hyjal Holy Mountain could not be allowed to fall into the hands of the Undead.
At the very least, the elves of Nature could not bear to see their holy World Tree defiled by the touch of death.
Thus, at the foot of Hyjal, the coalition finally halted their endless retreat.
“Hahahahahahahahaha! How amusing. Heavenly Father, did you foresee this outcome five days ago?”

In an unseen void far beyond mortal perception, the leaders of the seven great factions, those of the Throne-class, had gathered, watching the battle below through the endless space between worlds.
The first to speak was the Abyssal Lord, a being who appeared in the form of countless writhing tendrils.
“How interesting, truly fascinating… hahahahahahahaha… Elven Queen, seeing your lands of Nature being ravaged by the Undead, you must be feeling quite… exquisite, no?”
Hateful as it was, the Abyssal Lord’s words were dripping with venomous glee. Regardless of his ancient age, that foul, mocking tone of his was intolerably obnoxious.
“To destroy the Graveyard, such sacrifices are worthwhile. Isn’t that right, King of Knights, Great Prophet?”
Though the Elven Queen’s expression was far from pleasant, her graceful and unflawed words deftly shifted the topic toward the two Throne-class leaders of the Kingdom and the Stronghold.
Indeed, Nature had paid a heavy price in this war. But those who suffered even greater losses were the Stronghold and the Kingdom.
After all, both had been drawn into the war against the Graveyard from the very beginning. In terms of damage, their factions had suffered far worse than Nature.
So, when the Elven Queen diverted the conversation their way, the faces of the King of Knights and the Great Prophet grew visibly grim.
“Yes. For the sake of victory, all these sacrifices are worth it.”
They spoke with smiles on their faces, but inside, both were bleeding.

At the same time, both silently noted their resentment toward the Abyssal Lord, who had provoked the topic in the first place.
As for the Elven Queen, there was little point in resenting her. After all, she too had suffered great loss. But the Abyssal Lord, who only sat back to watch, mocking and sneering as he profited from others’ misery, that was someone well worth hating.
“Enough pointless talk. My Academy’s ‘Divination Artifact’ has already locked onto the location of the Stronghold’s Gate of Planes. Next, it’s time for us to awaken the powers of our respective planes. With the combined planar strike of all seven factions, no matter how deeply the Graveyard hides its Plane in the void, its destruction is already inevitable.”
The one speaking was an old man, his voice heavy yet steady. Though frail in appearance, the aura radiating from him was vast, profound, and unfathomable, a power as deep as the abyss itself.
This was the Academy’s Throne-class leader, the Arcane Magic God, Antonio.
“You’ve located the Graveyard’s Gate of Planes?”
A stocky figure responded, short in stature but immensely muscular, his thick beard covering half his face. His voice was low and commanding, echoing with power.
This was the leader of the Fortress Faction, known as the Fortress Emperor, Muradin Bronzebeard.
Muradin was famous for his love of forging, weapons, armor, all manner of war-forged creations. Yet despite his obsession with smithing, his strength ranked among the very top of the Throne-class beings present.
However, as with most dwarves, he had a temper as fiery as his forge. Among all those present, only the Heavenly Father dared to confront the Abyssal Lord head-on as much as Muradin did.
Of course, Muradin also happened to despise the Abyssal Lord deeply.

“I’d love to see how the Graveyard’s Gate of Planes compares to the ones we’ve built in the Fortress.”
“Compare? Are you that much of a forge-addled idiot, you little dwarf? Hahahahahahahahahaha!”
The Abyssal Lord interjected gleefully, bursting into loud, mocking laughter.
“What did you say!? Believe it or not, I’ll rip out those eyes on your tentacles right now and drink them like wine!”
“Hahahahahahahahaha! You’re amusing, little dwarf. Aren’t you only good for hammering metal all day? Hahahahahahaha!”
“If you’ve got the guts, fight me right here! Come on then, you disgusting tentacle freak!”
The dwarves’ tempers truly were terrible. Even after living for millions of years, the Fortress Emperor was still the kind to explode instantly at the slightest provocation.
“Hah, what’s there to fear? You hammer-brained little dwarf~ hahahahahahaha!”
There was no denying it, the Abyssal Lord’s mouth was as vile as ever…
