Volume 2, Chapter 100 – Awakening! Plane Power!

The Fortress Emperor’s bad temper was widely acknowledged by the world. After all, the Fortress Emperor was a Dwarf, and Dwarves were famous for their fiery tempers, far more intense than the straightforward, muscle-headed Beastmen who liked to handle things head-on.

But still, after a million years, the Fortress Emperor’s temper hadn’t changed one bit. No one could understand why. Now, however, the Thrones present finally realized why his temper never improved. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to change, but it was that he couldn’t, because his neighbor was none other than Inferno.

And that Abyssal Lord next door was the type who loved to taunt others endlessly, always running its mouth and bursting into wild laughter at the smallest provocation…

Even if it wasn’t the Fortress Emperor, anyone who had to live next to Inferno’s Lord and listen to that constant mockery would eventually develop a bad temper too.

And that creature didn’t just like mocking others, it also loved to laugh maniacally!

See? It was laughing again!

“Alright, now is not the time for us to quarrel among ourselves!”

At that moment, the Heavenly Father, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke.

“This time, we are gathered to deal with the Graveyard. Please remember, our enemy is only one, the Graveyard and its Throne, the Undead Grand Duke Sargus.”

“The Undead Grand Duke Sargus, huh?”

The Abyssal Lord interjected again.

“To be honest, I’ve never really interacted with that little guy. For a million years, he’s either been hiding in the Graveyard Plane with his undead, or wandering the Main World picking up scraps, reviving dying people into undead.”

“Hahahahahahahahaha!”

The Abyssal Lord broke into low, wild laughter.

“I must say, that little guy has quite the patience. He’s lain dormant for a million years! If it were me, I’d have joined in when Inferno invaded the Main World back then. Why wait until now?”

“Hahahahahahahahaha! Such a timid little thing. But now, I find myself a little interested in him…”

“Let’s put aside what kind of person Sargus is for now. Let’s first see where the plane portal is.” The Academy’s Antonio said in a low voice.

He waved his hand, and a floating mirror carved with countless mysterious runes appeared before the Thrones.

“This is my Academy’s divination artifact, the Arcane Realm. I won’t go into the details of how many basic and advanced arcane runes it contains. What you need to know is that through this mirror, we can directly observe the location of the Graveyard plane portal.”

“Hmm. If it can directly observe the Graveyard’s plane portal, then please, Arcane Magic God, cast your spell.” The Heavenly Father’s tone remained calm, as if he had little interest in Antonio’s divination artifact.

The other Thrones also looked rather indifferent, except for the Abyssal Lord, whose thoughts remained unreadable.

“Then I’ll begin.”

Antonio wasn’t one to waste words. As soon as he spoke, he began using the mirror.

Soon, countless runes on its surface began to glow faintly. The image within the mirror twisted and distorted before slowly stabilizing.

Within seconds, a scene appeared, a massive portal built entirely from countless skeletal remains, standing in the middle of a valley.

“This is… a gate made entirely of bones?”

Even the experienced Fortress Emperor couldn’t help but gasp at the sight.

The same went for the Elven Queen of Nature, the King of Knights of the Kingdom, and the Prophet of the Stronghold.

“This is blasphemy against the dead! Utterly evil! I will destroy it with the Holy Light!”

The most enraged among them was the King of Knights. As the ruler all Paladins followed, this was perhaps the most intolerable thing he had ever seen in his entire service as a Paladin.

After all, that was a gate constructed purely out of bones!

“The evil of the Graveyard, I now understand it.”

After staring at the mirror for a long time, the Fortress Emperor slowly closed his eyes.

“A portal could easily be built from durable materials that aren’t even rare. So why did the Graveyard do something so senseless? I’ve never heard of such madness!”

“The Graveyard must be destroyed!”

Even the normally expressionless Heavenly Father, who always viewed everything with calm indifference, now had a grave expression.

As for the Abyssal Lord…

“Hahahahahahahahaha! Interesting! Truly fascinating! The Undead Grand Duke Sargus really is the talent I had my eyes on! Hahahahahahahahahaha!”

It was laughing again.

“The plane portal has been located. Next, we’ll awaken the Plane Power directly.”

After a few seconds of silence, the Heavenly Father spoke again.

The leaders of the major factions exchanged glances, then nodded solemnly. Each began summoning the Plane Power of their respective factions.

However, because the Stronghold and the Kingdom had been crushed too severely by the Graveyard, they could no longer awaken their factions’ Plane Power at all.

And awakening Plane Power wasn’t as easy as it sounded.

Though the Heavenly Father had made it seem simple, to truly awaken the Plane Power of multiple factions and channel it through the Graveyard’s plane portal to strike directly at the Graveyard Plane was an immensely complex task.

The Planes of the Nature, the Abyss, the Sanctuary, and the Academy were not even located within the Main World. To awaken these powers and summon them across countless layers of space to the Main Plane was already incredibly difficult.

However, if they wanted to eradicate the Graveyard once and for all, it was far better to summon the Plane Power and annihilate the entire faction in one stroke than to slowly slaughter the endless undead.

That was why the Heavenly Father had proposed using Plane Power, to completely erase the Graveyard. Only Plane Power could truly obliterate the Graveyard without leaving a single trace.

……

In the endless void surrounding the Main World, the Nature, the Academy, and the Sanctuary… vast, invisible forces began to awaken under the Thrones’ deliberate guidance.

Deep underground in the Main World, a lava-like radiance spread across every corner of the Fortress. Countless Dwarves stopped their work and knelt in reverence.

Meanwhile, in the Abyss, countless demons began to tremble, their terrified gazes fixed upon the deepest darkness, the place where their supreme ruler resided.

The Plane Powers of all the great factions, at this moment…

Awakened.
