Volume 3, Chapter 18 – Knight Princess Fisiel
Among the Kingdom’s army resisting the Graveyard’s forces, there was a knight girl of noble character and flowerlike beauty, deeply loved by the soldiers of the Kingdom faction.
The girl was a Paladin. After the Graveyard launched its invasion war, she led the Paladins under her command and resolutely joined the army resisting the Graveyard.
During the war, the girl’s beautiful and courageous figure became the soldiers’ admiration, and her calm, wise command ability earned the favor of most of the Kingdom’s generals and the high-ranking Paladins.
And one week ago, this Paladin girl awakened Legendary power during a battle where they faced an Undead force ten times larger than their own. Then she completely wiped out that Undead army.
Actually, the result of that battle wasn’t what mattered. What mattered was that this young Paladin girl became the youngest Legendary in the entire history of the Kingdom.
Without question, the girl received the respect of the entire nation. The common people began singing stories about her. The upper ranks of the Paladins already intended to train her to become the next Holy King of Knights. And even the true high-ranking leaders of the Kingdom began to acknowledge her.
Legendary Paladin Fisiel, and the Round Table Paladin Corps she founded under her command…
And now, this Legendary Paladin girl was personally leading her recently expanded Round Table Paladin Corps to join the current campaign against the remaining Undead of the Graveyard.
And on this day, the knight girl received a very short command.
“Lead the Round Table Paladin Corps under your command, along with two hundred thousand troops, and take a detour to the Northern Fortress.”
It was indeed a very strange command.
However, as a Paladin, Fisiel would not disobey orders from above. So no matter how confused she was, Fisiel silently accepted the command, reorganized her forces, and prepared to depart.
But before departure, Fisiel intended to hold a short meeting.

As for why the Paladin Corps under her command was named the Round Table Paladin Corps, part of the reason was because Fisiel preferred to conduct her strategic meetings at a large round table.
And now, Fisiel chose to hold the meeting once again at a large round table.
“Everyone.”
Only after seeing that all the high-ranking Round Table Paladins had arrived did Fisiel slowly speak.
At this moment, Fisiel was wearing armor specifically designed for female Paladins, shaped like a skirt.
Although it was designed for female knights, the upper part of the skirt armor was still forged from solid steel. One could say that even though the skirt armor looked much more elegant than the armor of male knights, its weight was not any lighter.
The knight girl tied her striking golden hair into a ponytail. Although her exquisitely beautiful features made her look extremely lovely, at this moment the impression she gave was entirely that of a steadfast Paladin, not a beautiful maiden of blossoming youth.
“The order from above is to bypass the Graveyard’s defensive line and march toward the Northern Fortress.”
The girl announced the received order very briefly.
Her tone held firm determination that allowed no doubt.
“Commander, bypassing the Graveyard’s defensive line is fine, but what about our supplies? If we detour directly into the Graveyard’s interior, without supplies our army won’t be able to accomplish anything.”
The one speaking was an extremely ordinary-looking Paladin. If Tianyin were present, she would definitely recognize him as the Paladin named Lancelot, the same one who fought Xiaomengyao’s older brother in the Job Change Hall…

“Lancelot, is that your question?”
“Yes, Commander.”
Although Paladins would not disobey orders from above, honorable Paladins would still directly express their doubts.
“I understand. Lancelot, although this order appears simple, it actually carries significant risks.”
Fisiel looked directly at the assembled Paladins and began explaining.
“And the reason I gathered you all is not that simple either.”
On the surface, the order from above was simply to enter and station at the Northern Fortress.
But in reality, the messenger who delivered the order not only handed over the written scroll, but also verbally told her some words.
“Beware of Beastmen.”
Without question, this action of stationing at the Northern Fortress was nowhere near as simple as it appeared.
Even though Fisiel was still only a very young Paladin girl, her sense for changes on the battlefield was extremely sharp.
And regarding the true meaning behind this order, Fisiel had already guessed most of it.
Thinking this, Fisiel slowly spoke.

“While relaying the order from above, I also need to tell all of you how important this operation is.”
“Important?”
The Paladins were confused. No matter how they looked at it, this was just bypassing the Undead lines to occupy the already-fallen Northern Fortress. How could an operation like this be particularly important?
Indeed, the Northern Fortress had been the only connection between the Kingdom and the Graveyard. Occupying it would effectively cut off the Graveyard’s escape route.
But the Graveyard’s forces were not like the Kingdom’s. Undead did not need supplies. Even if the connection was cut, an army entering deep into Graveyard territory without resupply would face being attacked from both sides.
No matter how one looked at it, this was a foolish order.
“Yes, extremely important. Although in some sense we will be placing ourselves in a position of certain death, this is an extremely important action.”
“Because if we successfully reach the Northern Fortress, our enemy may not be the Undead of the Graveyard.”
“Hm? Not Undead?”
“Commander, that must be a joke, right? That is the heart of the Graveyard, how could there be other enemies?”
Although the Paladins present had experienced many battles, they still didn’t want to believe what Fisiel said.
Even if Fisiel was their respected Commander.

“I will only say this once. I am not joking. And once we reach the Northern Fortress, we will face two possible outcomes.”
Evidently, Fisiel no longer wanted to continue explaining, and instead spoke directly of the scenarios they would face upon arrival.
“First, we occupy the Northern Fortress. Then we will immediately organize a defense and prepare to resist fierce assaults from the Beastmen troops of the Northern Stronghold.”
“Beastmen?!”
“Wait, what? Beastmen?!”
“How dare they!”
The room erupted in an uproar.
Clearly, Fisiel’s words finally made the Paladins understand why this operation was so important.
“Second.”
Fisiel cut off their angry voices and continued.
“We arrive near the Northern Fortress but cannot enter it. And when that happens, what we must do is immediately launch an attack and reclaim the Northern Fortress from the hands of the Stronghold Beastmen as fast as possible! That is all!”
