Volume 4, Chapter 3 – Mohayda Underground City

Mohayda.

As the only underground city that holds a neutral status in the Underground World, it also carries an extremely special meaning there.

Inside this underground city called Mohayda, there are actually only three main races living within it.

First are the Cavemen, the basic civilian production unit. Among all races of the Underground World, the Cavemen have the strongest reproductive ability, yet they possess the weakest intellect.

Short limbs, tiny eyes, and bodies thin as sticks are the common traits of the Cavemen.

The reason such a weak race has not died out is that, as the fundamental production unit of the Underground World, the Cavemen are indispensable.

Because the Cavemen have mastered the skills of cultivating large quantities of fluorescent mushrooms, and every species in the Underground World lives by eating all kinds of fluorescent mushrooms.

So, even though the Cavemen are weak, they are intentionally or unintentionally protected in the Underground World.

In Mohayda underground city, the Cavemen are the most numerous race.

Above the Cavemen there is another race with tall and sturdy bodies, whose close combat abilities are on par with Orcs, the Minotaurs.

The Minotaurs are the only armed force in Mohayda underground city, and the strongest among them, Lanfeng Bloodhoof, is a powerful Minotaur with Legendary strength. He is also the one who commands all the Minotaurs in Mohayda underground city.

Aside from the Minotaurs and the Cavemen, the last race are the rulers of Mohayda underground city.

They are the Dark Elves.

A long time ago, there were no so-called Dark Elves in the world, but because of the temptation of the Abyssal Sovereign, a portion of the Elves in the Nature Faction fell into corruption and were eventually expelled by Nature.

In the end, those fallen Elves came to the Underground World and became one of its races, the Dark Elves.

Sharing the same origin as the Elves of Nature, the Dark Elves also possess long lifespans.

Born from the corrupted World Trees of Life, the Dark Elves not only have beauty rivaling that of Elves, but each and every one of them also has an extremely dark heart and boundless greed.

These Dark Elves may look beautiful on the outside, but in reality, each one is filthy and despicable, reveling in toying with people’s hearts and scheming against one another, terrifying existences through and through.

Because the Dark Elves are endlessly crafty, even though the population of Minotaurs in Mohayda underground city far exceeds that of the Dark Elves, the Dark Elves still became the rulers of Mohayda underground city.

Of course, the most fundamental reason is also that those foolish Minotaurs were bewitched by the beauty of the Dark Elves. Even Lanfeng Bloodhoof, who possesses Legendary strength, was seduced by the allure of the Dark Elves and willingly serves them.

In this way, an underground city ruled by Dark Elves who take pleasure in manipulating hearts welcomed, on this day, its very first little human girl from the Surface World.

“Silver hair… such a cute human girl…”

The Cavemen, who could be seen everywhere in Mohayda, were the first to notice the stranger who had come to this underground city, that is, Tianyin.

As those ugly Cavemen sighed in admiration, the tiny eyes on their faces openly revealed filthy desire.

However, because the Cavemen were timid to begin with, and on top of that there were Minotaurs and Dark Elves above them, other than watching from a distance, these Cavemen did not dare to take any foolish actions at all.

As a neutral underground city, Mohayda received passersby from other places every day.

Most of those passersby were existences from the Underground World as well, but someone like Tianyin, a human from the Surface World… in truth, this was the very first time in so many years for the entire underground city.

The reason those Cavemen could immediately sense that Tianyin was a human from the Surface World rather than a human from the Underground World was actually because… they had felt upon Tianyin the aura that came from the sun.

“No matter what… news of a surface dweller coming to our underground city has to be reported upstairs”

Some of the slightly sharper Cavemen snapped out of their daze after being charmed by Tianyin’s cute appearance and immediately thought of reporting this information.
