After the early-morning “farce” was over, Tianyin washed up and tidied her personal hygiene, then took Lucifa, Xiaobingxue, Xiaomengyao and the others with her to go eat.

The newborn sunlight slanted in through the window into the room, lighting it up and bringing with it just the right amount of warmth.

But after Tianyin finished eating, she heard the noisy clamor of people and horses outside the City Lord’s residence.

“What’s going on out there?”
