Volume 4, Chapter 66 – Lucifa’s Awakening
The Frost Dragon and the Black Dragon King were locked in a fierce battle.
A moment later, controlled by Samael, Tianyin’s body also joined the fight against the Black Dragon King.
Originally, judging from how the battle had been going, the Black Dragon King, who was much stronger than Ysera, held an absolute advantage. As long as the Black Dragon spent a bit of time on it, defeating Ysera would not have been a problem.
Of course, that was only in theory.
After Tianyin entered the fray, the situation on the battlefield began to change. At the very least, with Samael joining in, Ysera no longer needed to face the Black Dragon King alone and instead fought together with Tianyin against him.
However, because the Black Dragon King had grabbed her earlier, her knight’s sword had already been thrown off somewhere by him, nobody knew where. So right now, Tianyin, who no longer had a weapon, could hardly use some of the Blood Knight skills, which in turn limited what she could do in battle.
“You two together still aren’t my match. Come on, come on, this time neither of you will get away!”
Tianyin joining the fight had cut down his advantage, yet the Black Dragon King still seemed extremely confident.
Not only that, he roared as he launched an even fiercer assault toward Tianyin and Ysera.
In the sky, Tianyin’s petite figure flashed nonstop. On the other side, the Black Dragon King’s scorching Dragon Breath met the Frost Dragon Ysera’s icy Dragon Breath.
The battle between the three Throne-tier beings almost changed the very color of the sky, and in corners of the battlefield unnoticed by anyone, slivers of pitch-black cracks spread across the sky and then vanished.
…….
While Tianyin and Ysera were fighting the Black Dragon King over there, Mihiel was leading the army of Fallen Angels, anxiously searching the ruins of the territory for any sign of Lucifa.
After they had almost turned over every inch of the ruins, Mihiel and the others finally found Lucifa, unconscious, hidden in the shadows of the wreckage.
“My lady!”

Having found Lucifa, Mihiel’s face lit up with joy. Without even thinking, she led the Fallen Angels and flew over.
“Everyone, be on guard.”
After giving the order for the Fallen Angels to keep watch on the surroundings, this Fallen Angel moved in toward Lucifa.
However, just as Mihiel was about to reach Lucifa, far away at the battlefield in the sky, the Black Dragon King’s eyes suddenly turned dangerous.
“So you want to rescue Lucifa while I’m not around?”
As he said this, the Black Dragon King’s gaze turned meaningful again.
“How… hopelessly naive…”
The Black Dragon King did nothing to hide his words, so Tianyin also heard what he said.
“This is bad, Mihiel’s side is in danger…”
Right away, Samael and Tianyin understood what the Black Dragon King meant.
However—
“So you’ve noticed? What a pity, it’s already too late. Hahahahahahahahaha…”
The Black Dragon King laughed wildly, and at the same time, at the very moment Mihiel was about to reach Lucifa, mysterious Draconic runes beneath this Fallen Angel’s feet began to shine with dazzling light.
“This… this is…”

Before Mihiel could react, a powerful force suddenly swept out from Lucifa’s body.
Boom—!
The overwhelming force hit Mihiel hard as if it were solid. Not only that, if there had been any players present, they would have seen that while Mihiel’s HP bar was dropping, its maximum value was also being cut down by a large chunk.
“Ugh…”
Struck by that sudden tangible blast of power, Mihiel was smashed back into the remaining wall behind her, shattering it to pieces.
“This is Pride’s power rampaging… No, I have to get away from here first…”
Although she had suffered a heavy blow, Mihiel recognized that this sudden force was Lucifa’s Pride. She did not know exactly how strong Lucifa’s Pride could be, but she knew very well that the best choice now was to stay far away from the unconscious Lucifa.
As she retreated, the Draconic runes under Lucifa grew even brighter.
Vaguely, a bad premonition rose in Mihiel’s heart.
At that very moment, Lucifa, who had been lying quietly on the ground in deep sleep, suddenly opened her eyes.
Boom—!
Another deafening boom rang out, the ground cracked and sank in an instant, and at the center of those sudden fissures, the Fallen Angel Mihiel somehow found herself pinned hard to the ground by a small hand.
“……”
With a pair of cold, ruthless eyes, Lucifa looked down at Mihiel’s anguished face, as if pondering something.
“M… my lady, it’s me… Mihiel…”

She did not know why Lucifa had suddenly woken up and immediately attacked her, but Mihiel could more or less guess that Lucifa’s current state was not normal.
Because of that, even while Lucifa was pinning her firmly to the ground, Mihiel forced herself to endure the intense pain wracking her whole body and struggled to communicate with her.
“Mihiel?”
Lucifa, who was pressing down on her neck, tilted her head slightly.
“Who are you… I only know that you disturbed my sleep… and anyone who disturbs my sleep must die…”
Lucifa spoke coldly, then the hand pressing Mihiel down began to tighten.
“Ugh… my lord…”
The moment the awakened Lucifa attacked Mihiel, the Fallen Angels standing guard around them also sensed that something was wrong and rushed in to surround them.
“My lady, please stop. That is Mihiel, the Fallen Angel Commander!”
One Fallen Angel saw Lucifa gripping Mihiel’s neck as if she intended to crush it and hurriedly tried to dissuade her.
“You are telling me to stop?”
Upon hearing the Fallen Angel’s plea, Lucifa unexpectedly pulled back the hand that had been about to crush Mihiel’s neck.
But even though she had withdrawn her hand, her voice was still utterly cold.
“You sound… like you are ordering me?”

“My lady, please calm down… I only…”
“You are ordering me?”
Lucifa cut her off icily, her gaze frigid.
“In that case, you can take her place.”
“My lady, I…”
In an instant, Lucifa’s figure appeared before that Fallen Angel who had not even finished her sentence, and somehow one of Lucifa’s hands was already clamped tightly around her neck.
“M… my lady…”
Having just come back from the brink of death, Mihiel stood up with the support of several Fallen Angels, then stared at Lucifa in a daze.
“You… what has happened to you… my lady…”
She did not understand why Lucifa had become like a stranger, but Mihiel had a feeling that the Lucifa before her was not the real Lucifa.
On the contrary, the Lucifa before her seemed to be controlled by some other existence.
“No… I can’t let my lady kill her own people…”
Although she felt lost and helpless inside, Mihiel knew that the most urgent thing right now was to stop Lucifa from killing the Fallen Angel whose neck she was holding.
