Volume 5, Chapter 6 – First Arrival in Storm City
After Fisiel finished handling the matters at the Northern Fortress, Tianyin took Fisiel with her and set out on the journey to take part in the King of Knights election.
As for the Kingdom nowadays, after going through the Graveyard invasion incident, the Kingdom’s overall strength was no longer what it once had been.
Just speaking of the Kingdom faction alone, of the former Seven Great Kingdoms and Three Great Empires, only three of the Seven Great Kingdoms remained, and only one of the Three Great Empires.
As for why the other kingdoms and empires were gone, one reason was that they had been wiped out by the Graveyard’s undead, and another was that after the Graveyard invasion the remaining countries had annexed one another.
That’s right, after the Graveyard invasion, instead of choosing to rest and recuperate, the Kingdom, left riddled with wounds, saw the human nations of the Kingdom faction launch wars of mutual annexation as soon as the Graveyard undead retreated.
And by now, most of the Kingdom’s Paladins had fallen in the war against the Graveyard, so at a time when the number of Paladins was emptier than ever before, the internal wars of annexation in the Kingdom only grew all the more intense.
However, it was worth mentioning that because the succession election for the Holy King of Knights was about to begin, several of the countries within the Kingdom faction very tacitly chose to cease hostilities.
Of course, anyone with eyes could see that the truce between the Kingdom’s internal nations was only temporary. Once a new Holy King of Knights appeared, the wars of annexation inside the Kingdom would definitely erupt once more.
And this time, the election for the Holy King of Knights was to be held in the Knight’s Sanctuary in Storm City, the capital of the Storm Kingdom.
Called the Knight’s Sanctuary, it was actually just the Paladins’ Job Change Hall.
……
Time skipped ahead to a week later.
After Tianyin and Fisiel hurried along on a long journey for a full week, she and the knight girl finally arrived at the destination of this trip, the capital of the Storm Kingdom, Storm City.

Even before entering the city, Tianyin was already shaken by Storm City’s magnificence.
The huge, ancient, mottled city walls stood there before her. Even without walking right up to them, Tianyin could still vaguely make out the traces left on Storm City’s walls by the flames of war.
These walls stretched on before Tianyin’s eyes all the way to the distant horizon, and when her gaze passed over the walls, she could see buildings rising within that were even taller than the walls themselves.
“Wuu… Storm City… i-it’s only just a little better than our Eden~”
Although in her heart she was filled with amazement at Storm City’s appearance, outwardly, as the leader of Dawn, Tianyin still stubbornly kept up a front.
Hearing Tianyin’s words, Fisiel, who was quietly standing behind her, shook her head with a puzzled look.
“My lady, although our Dawn’s main city Eden is also very big, as things stand right now, it really can’t compare to Storm City, you know?”
“I… I know that already! I don’t need you to remind me about that!”
Having been slapped in the face on the spot by Fisiel’s words, Tianyin’s little face turned bright red.
“But anyway, Fisiel, back when I left you, the place I originally wanted to go to was Storm City. Unfortunately, on the road I ran into the Graveyard invasion… but now that I think about it, it’s kind of funny. After circling around all over the place, I actually did end up coming to Storm City.”
After the little earlier farce ended, looking at the majestic Storm City before her, Tianyin slipped into reminiscence mode.
“My lady, maybe it was all arranged by fate. Back when I first met you, I absolutely never would have thought that one day I’d betray my faction and choose to become your vassal.”
Picking up Tianyin’s topic, the knight girl also couldn’t help but show a smile.

Seeing the smile on Fisiel’s face and thinking about what Fisiel had just said, Tianyin, as if led by some unseen force, opened her small mouth.
“Then Fisiel, do you regret becoming my vassal?”
“I don’t~”
Hearing Tianyin’s question, the knight girl answered it in a completely natural way.
“My lady is a wise and virtuous lord, and becoming My lady’s vassal, I feel that’s my good fortune~”
“Eh? Wise, wise and virtuous and all that… Wuu, I-I’m not really all that wise or anything…”
Praised in such a sincere tone by Fisiel, Tianyin couldn’t help feeling shy.
By this point, Tianyin actually understood very clearly in her heart that she was not any kind of wise and virtuous lord at all. Her position in Dawn… was really just that of a mascot on display…
Mhm, a loli mascot with Throne-tier strength!
“Alright now… we can’t just keep standing here outside Storm City like idiots. Fisiel, let’s go into the city first. Once we’re inside, we can have a good few days of rest~”
“Mhm. Speaking of which, there are still several days left until the Paladins’ election, so these few days are just right for us to recuperate.”
As for Tianyin’s suggestion, the knight girl expressed her complete agreement.

……
Just as Tianyin and Fisiel were getting ready to enter the city, Yunchou, who had been staying in some place within Storm City all this time, suddenly stood up in his room.
“Boss?”
As Yunchou suddenly rose to his feet, the few players who had been hanging around at his side also immediately stood up.
“Got anything you want to tell us to do, Boss?”
“Nothing.”
The youth named Yunchou narrowed his eyes slightly.
“I’m just going out to meet someone, that’s all.”
“Meet someone?”
Upon hearing Yunchou’s words, the players present all showed extremely strange expressions one after another.
The reason they all had such strange looks was actually because ever since they had started following Yunchou, he had always stayed in the room and never gone out.
He neither went to level up nor went out to socialize.
And now this kind of Boss… was suddenly saying he was going to go meet someone or whatever…

That was really… way too strange…
“What? You don’t believe me?”
Giving the players with the odd expressions around him a casual glance, Yunchou asked them in an incomparably calm voice.
“No… nothing like that. Since you’re going to meet someone, Boss, it’s not like we can interfere with that…”
“You think I don’t know what’s going through your heads?”
Yunchou smiled, his voice turning incomparably gentle.
“But for now it’s fine if you all just stay here. I’ll be back soon.”
After saying this, Yunchou opened his equipment window and flipped through a few pages.
Then he put on a huge cloak that could practically hide his entire body.
After putting on this piece of equipment, Yunchou casually swept his gaze over the few of them, then let out a soft chuckle and left the room.
After Yunchou left, the players in the room also fell silent for a moment. Then, after they exchanged glances with one another, they all walked out of the room in unison.
