Volume 5, Chapter 25 – Departure
After the System Light Orb left, time in the game world did not start flowing again like before, instead it remained in a paused state.
Of course, Tianyin could understand that. After all, the System had already said earlier that this pause was not actually for the sake of finding her, it was just for the “game update”.
Still, with time stopped, as a rather special existence, Tianyin could take advantage of this window during the time pause to go straight to the royal kingdom and look for Fisiel.
Very soon.
Using the extremely high speed she had in her fusion state, Tianyin arrived at the Storm Kingdom’s royal palace. But after she flew into the palace, she was dumbfounded…
Because as soon as she went through the main gates of the palace, what Tianyin was faced with was a sprawling complex of buildings that made her feel a headache just from looking at it.
Earlier, the palace had been surrounded by a tall wall, so Tianyin had not known this would be the situation.
So after seeing the dense rows of sprawling buildings before her eyes… Tianyin immediately felt her scalp tingle.
“Come on already… why are there so many buildings inside the palace ahhhhh…”
Even though she really wanted to complain about how many buildings there were, Tianyin still felt secretly lucky that she had not listened to what the System Light Orb said about waiting until after the game update to look for Fisiel.
“Phew, at least I’ll find Fisiel before the game unpauses!”
Silently making up her mind, and with Samael no longer at her side to offer suggestions, Tianyin could only act according to her own thoughts.

And the time that followed was Tianyin’s process of searching the royal palace for Fisiel.
After about half an hour, Tianyin found the King of Knights lying on the ground, in a relatively secluded room, already lifeless.
“…”
Although she had already heard from the System that the King of Knights had died and that Yunchou had obtained the King of Knights’ Throne-tier power, knowing it was one thing, but actually seeing the King of Knights’ corpse with her own eyes… was another matter entirely…
“Rest in peace… King of Knights, that guy Yunchou, I’ll definitely take care of him!”
After silently looking at the King of Knights’ corpse for a moment, Tianyin softly made that vow alone.
Of course, this vow was not just a promise Tianyin made to the King of Knights, it also carried the wariness that had risen in her toward Yunchou after seeing the body.
Just the fact that Yunchou, relying only on his status as a player, had managed to kill the King of Knights, who was Throne-tier, was enough for Tianyin to place Yunchou at the very top of her list of most dangerous people.
Not to mention… Yunchou had already become a Throne.
Schemes, strength, and the ability to foresee the future, all piled onto someone who held hostility toward her… with someone like that, there was absolutely no way Tianyin could just ignore him.
“Phew… Yunchou is a great enemy.”
After murmuring those words, Tianyin stopped paying attention to the King of Knights’ corpse. She closed the door to that room, then turned and left.

“Since the King of Knights died in this room, Fisiel should be nearby, right?”
Her thoughts returned from the heavy mood of seeing the corpse of the King of Knights, and judging from the location of his body, Tianyin quickly concluded that Fisiel ought to be close.
Sure enough, before Tianyin had searched for long, she found the knight girl Fisiel quietly resting with her eyes closed in one of the rooms.
“Phew… found her. Next is to wait until time starts moving again, then have Fisiel leave with me… wuu… but after this I have to go to the Fortress to look for the power of Sloth, and Fisiel can’t go with me. After all, the Northern Fortress needs her…”
After finding Fisiel, Tianyin started thinking over what she’d have to do once time began flowing again.
……
After about an hour, time suddenly began to move while Tianyin was lost in thought.
“My lady?”
A surprised voice cut through Tianyin’s thoughts, and the moment she came back to herself, the knight girl’s handsome, heroic face appeared right in front of her.
“Fisiel!”
Seeing Fisiel’s surprised expression, Tianyin instantly remembered why she had come to find her.
“Fisiel, come with me and leave Storm City right now… this place is no longer somewhere we can stay…”

“Eh?”
Tianyin’s words made the knight girl show a puzzled expression.
“My lady… leave? Did something happen?”
“Yeah… Fisiel, I hope you can prepare yourself. The King of Knights of the kingdom has already passed away… and that outsider I told you about before… Yunchou, has already taken the King of Knights’ Throne-tier power.”
“Wha… what… the King of Knights, wasn’t the King of Knights just nearby healing his wounds? How could…”
“It’s a pity… Fisiel, the King of Knights is already dead… and right now, the Abyssal Lord’s whereabouts are unknown, and Yunchou now holds Throne-tier power. I can’t possibly stand against them by myself… so for now, we should leave Storm City first… we’ll talk about the rest later.”
“Alright, understood.”
Fisiel did not lose her head or insist on going to confirm the King of Knights’ death after hearing the news.
Although she had been shocked at first, after that shock, Fisiel quickly calmed down.
“Are we leaving now? Right, my lady, before he went to heal his wounds, the King of Knights entrusted me with a keepsake…”
“Wuu, a keepsake?”
The System Light Orb had indeed mentioned earlier that Fisiel would hand her a keepsake, but Tianyin had not paid much attention to that.

After taking the keepsake Fisiel handed over, Tianyin did not examine it closely and directly put it into her System Inventory.
“Fisiel, I’ll hold onto the keepsake for now… I don’t know what it’s for, but at the very least, we can’t let Yunchou get it…”
“Mm, I trust your judgment, my lord.”
“Mm… alright, then let’s hurry up and get out of here. We can’t stay in this place any longer…”
As Tianyin was taking Fisiel away, a figure suddenly appeared in the room where the King of Knights had died.
Holy light wrapped around that figure’s body, and as the figure appeared, a powerful aura began to spread out in every direction.
“So it’s finally… time for reality and the game to begin connecting.”
Feeling the tremendous power surging through his entire body, the figure murmured to himself as he slowly closed his eyes.
“Even now I still don’t understand why having a Throne among the players is the first step to activating the fusion of game and reality… but this isn’t the time to solve that problem… While I still have the advantage of being the only Throne in the kingdom, I should first take the whole kingdom into my grasp.”
“As for those Paladins… if they’re unwilling to obey my commands, it just so happens those Legendary Templates can be put to my use…”
