Volume 5, Chapter 52 – The One Who Knows The Future
Volume 5, Chapter 52 – The One Who Knows The Future
“The one who knows the future and the one who is fated to die in the future…”
“So… just who is this?”
Astrology could indeed play a role in foreseeing the unknown, but to put it bluntly, astrology would not plainly tell the user the information they wanted to know.
More accurately, even if one divined the answer they wanted, what astrology could tell the diviner would only ever be something vague and ambiguous that had to be carefully interpreted.
If they understood it wrong, then it was almost as if the diviner had done all that for nothing.
“The one who knows the future huh… it looks like it should also be an existence similar to me, someone who likewise possesses the ability to foresee what is yet unknown…”
After she finished parsing the divination information displayed before her eyes, the girl’s eyes, which were like the stars themselves, narrowed slightly.
“Hah… if the one who knows the future can be understood, then what is with this person who will die in the future?”
The reason the girl’s expression had changed so drastically when she saw the result of the divination was actually this latter description.
Namely—the description of the one who will die in the future.
“This is just too bizarre… in the past, all the futures I predicted were only hazy, uncertain results, but this time alone, what I foresaw is something so definite.”
“The one who will die in the future… if I am not mistaken, then the one who learned of my existence and exposed it will definitely die on that day in the future.”
“But if he is someone who should be doomed to die, then how can he know the future?”
Yes, that was the reason the girl’s brows were tightly furrowed and her face had changed so much.

After a brief silence, the girl picked up the cup at her side and took a sip of the rich, fragrant black tea with elegant movements.
As she drank the tea, she slowly closed her eyes and savored its mellow taste.
For the girl, only when she was drinking black tea could she forget the worries around her. Only the taste of black tea could soothe her restless heart.
She slowly savored the tea as it slid down her throat. After a short silence, she gently set the teacup back down.
“The one who will die in the future can know the future, but… knowing the future cannot change his future death.”
“Since he knows the future, he should at least understand that he is going to die, but… since he knows he will die, why is he still doing something that drags disaster down on his own head?”
The future could be predicted, but the future was not fixed.
You could also put it this way. What the girl’s astrology observed was perhaps only a fragment of the future’s possibilities.
Because of the future’s uncertainty, the instant the girl observed the future, that future would change, so she could not understand why, if that person could observe the future, he would still die.
According to the description given by the divination, however, the girl could be certain that the day that person would die was actually not far off.
“So… why would such a contradictory existence suddenly appear in this world?”
The girl had no idea that the so-called one who knew the future was a reborn.
So after thinking for a long time, the girl still could not figure out what kind of existence could both know the future and yet be destined to die in the near future.
“Forget it, I will stop thinking about this for now. Right now I should think about how to deal with the incoming outsider army…”

She pushed the doubt in her heart to the back of her mind and began to ponder another matter.
That matter was the problem of the outsiders she had mentioned.
“The outsider army’s reinforcements have already arrived. Although the front lines can still hold back the outsiders’ offensive, the fact that outsiders can revive without limit… really has no answer.”
“Honestly… that guy Julius only knows how to tell me to think of a solution… other than divination, I am really not very good at coming up with ideas…”
As she said this, the girl also let out a light sigh.
Knock knock knock—
At this moment, a series of knocks suddenly sounded from outside the room.
“Who is it?”
“Yivrea, it’s me, Julius.”
“Come in…”
Once he had the girl’s permission, the door creaked open.
As the door swung in, a middle aged man with rugged features, a tall and sturdy build, and a greatsword on his back that looked heavy just at a glance appeared in the girl’s line of sight. That girl was Yivrea.
The middle aged man grinned at Yivrea the moment he came in, looking extremely hearty.

“Yivrea, I’m here to see you again today. So, have you thought of a way to deal with those outsiders?”
“How could it be that easy?”
Watching the middle aged man sit himself down wherever he liked, Yivrea spoke in a slightly helpless tone.
“Ah… so still nothing. At this rate, our front line really will not be able to hold.”
“I know, but I really cannot think of any good method, Julius. The outsiders’ ability to revive without limit is by nature a method that goes against causality. I am just a mere diviner, how could I possibly have a means to break something like that?”
Hearing this, the middle aged man Julius looked extremely troubled.
“Then what do we do? We can’t just hand over the territory we managed to seize with so much effort, right? This is the foothold all of us fought so hard to win. We absolutely cannot just give it up like that.”
“I know… but even if you say that, I still have no way. I have not had much contact with outsiders from the very start… though, have you thought about that proposal of mine?”
“Proposal? You mean joining that Dawn?”
When he heard Yivrea bring up joining Dawn, the expression on the middle aged man’s face immediately turned serious.
Not only that, even his eyes grew sharp.
“That’s impossible, Yivrea.”
“We already have enough comrades who were harmed by those faction powers. Aside from the few whose strength is relatively high, is there anyone who was not crushed by those factions until their lives were worse than death?”
“Even if Dawn is a newly born faction and its leader is an acquaintance you know, we still will not consider joining Dawn.”

Julius’s words were not only firm, they were utterly unyielding.
Faced with this reply, Yivrea could only let out a helpless sigh.
“When will you all finally be able to let go of your prejudice against faction forces… you have to understand that the world now is no longer the same world as back then…”
Besides…
Xiaoyin is not the kind of person who would persecute you.
Yivrea could only say this line in her heart, because even if she spoke it to his face, Julius would not believe her.
“That’s that, I still have things to do. Yivrea, you just keep thinking about how to deal with these outsiders…”
The middle aged man Julius seemed somewhat angry.
After throwing out this line, he directly slammed the door and left.
However, just as Julius left Yivrea’s room and had only just stepped outside the door.
Something completely unexpected…
Happened…
