Volume 1, Chapter 55 – Graveyard – Certain Victory
While Tianyin continued her peaceful daily routine, in the outer world beyond the Main World of the game, within a plane of endless chaos where neither sun nor moon existed, something completely unforeseen was quietly unfolding.
As mentioned earlier, this plane had no sun and no moon.
It was a place of eternal darkness, with only faint starlight glimmering in the dim sky above.
The land of this plane was lifeless.
It was black.
On this desiccated earth, not a single tree nor a blade of grass could be seen.
From a distance, the entire surface of this plane was covered only by waves of white like surging tides and faint, ghostly blue lights that dotted the blackened land.
Among them.
The white tide was an ocean of skulls that made one’s scalp crawl.
And the faint blue lights were the flickering soul flames in the hollow black sockets of every single skull within that sea, quivering as if about to extinguish at any moment.
A deafening roar suddenly echoed across the sky. The next instant, waves of cold air visible to the naked eye spread slowly from the direction of the sound.
Following the source of the frost, one could see an enormous creature, an immense being formed entirely from countless skeletal frames, flapping its massive bone wings that blotted out the sky as it glided slowly through the air.
This massive creature emanating freezing mist was none other than the Graveyard Faction’s infamous Sovereign, “Frost Dragon.”
Another roar thundered through the darkness. The Frost Dragon’s body, wreathed in biting frost, stirred violent gusts as its wings beat, overturning the skull sea beneath it in surging waves.
“Come back…”
As the Frost Dragon roared, an ethereal voice, soft and drifting, echoed through the silent expanse.

“Come back. A million years have passed… it is time for us to reclaim the Main World…”
The voice carried no discernible direction, yet as soon as it fell, the Frost Dragon immediately turned, its skeletal wings flapping as it veered toward another part of the realm.
As the dragon flew, far away on the other end of the plane stood a desolate palace.
The palace was in ruin, its walls cracked and collapsed beyond repair.
At its center stood a burly middle-aged man clad in pitch-black armor. He leaned on a frost-covered longsword, eyes shut, motionless, like a statue upon the ground.
Strangely, in this Graveyard plane filled entirely with skeletons and the undead, this palace was home to a living being, a man whose heart still beat.
“My Lord…”
As time flowed, a hoarse, sharp voice, like nails scraping against glass, suddenly broke the silence.
Hearing it, the man slowly opened his eyes, their once-murky depths faintly gleaming as he gazed upon a headless knight wreathed in flame who had appeared before him.
“It’s you… to think you’d be the first to arrive this time… how unexpected…”
“My Lord summoned me. Of course I would come at once…”
The Headless Knight spoke with deep reverence. After those words, he silently took his place behind the man.
With his arrival, one after another, the most powerful beings of the undead began appearing in the ruined palace.
There were cruel vampires with predatory eyes, hideous banshees whose forms twisted with malice, and death knights mounted on skeletal steeds with swords in hand.
Liches wrapped in tattered mage robes, abominations sewn together from rotting corpses, and ghouls forever gnawed by hunger, unable to be sated.

With each passing moment, almost every notable figure in the Graveyard gathered within the dilapidated hall.
All of them surrounded the middle-aged man at the center, silent, as if waiting for him to speak.
Yet he seemed in no hurry. His eyes were closed once more, still holding his sword.
Time passed.
Another roar thundered from the distant horizon, and at that instant, the man slowly opened his eyes.
“My children…”
His voice was low, deliberate, as his gaze swept over everyone present.
“Tell me… in this world without sun or light, how long has it been?”
His words carried a heavy weight.
A banshee with scarred cheeks opened her mouth slowly and answered.
“My Lord… it has been millions of years…”
“Millions of years… has it?”
Upon hearing the answer he sought, his expression did not change.
“Then… my children, in these millions of years, how many of our dead remain among us?”
“Countless…” a death knight replied respectfully.

“Then… our bone dragons, how many remain?”
Bone Dragons, those below the Frost Dragons in rank, were among the strongest forces of the entire Graveyard.
“Answering Father’s question…”
A voice unlike any other undead’s resonated from the sky above.
“Under my command, the number of Bone Dragons has reached three million.”
Three million…
Even the undead who had lived for eons gasped at that number.
After all, there were barely three hundred thousand dragons left in the entire world. Three million Bone Dragons, such a number was beyond belief.
Could it be that they had dug up the ancestors of every dragon that ever lived?
“Three million, then… that will suffice.”
As that last question was answered, the man’s eyes regained their sharpness. He slowly drew the frost-encrusted sword from the ground.
“My children… we have slumbered far, far too long…”
“So long that the living have forgotten us, so long that even we have forgotten our own names…”
“But from this moment onward, we must no longer remain silent…”
His gaze swept across the hall, his voice firm and resolute.

“We, the undead of the Graveyard, fear not numbers. It is time we claim our rightful place upon the Main World’s soil.”
“My Lord… you mean…”
Hearing his words, the undead around him stirred with excitement.
“That’s right…”
The man spoke slowly, calmly, without haste.
“From today onward, we will construct the Gate of Planes to connect to the Main World.”
“My children…”
He lifted his frost-bound sword toward the heavens.
“It is time for the other factions to cower under the shadow of the Graveyard.”
“It is time for the fangs we’ve hidden for a million years to bare once more.”
“The moment the Gate of Planes is complete will be the moment our march upon the Main World begins.”
“And we… The Graveyard…”
“Will prevail!”
