Volume 1, Chapter 58 – Movements in the Graveyard
In a place shrouded endlessly by darkness, a massive gate made purely of bone, towering forty to fifty meters tall, stood silently upon a barren, dead wasteland.
Black-armored knights holding long swords sat astride skeletal horses, standing wordlessly on both sides of the gate. Behind them, an army made entirely of skeletons slowly gathered from every direction.
“How much longer? When will the Gate of Planes complete its transfer?”
The knight’s voice was deep, his glowing eyes fixed on something unknown in the distance.
Beside him stood a girl of breathtaking beauty, her long silver hair cascading down her back. Her expression remained calm as she gazed at the massive skeletal gate before her.
“When both sun and moon fall, the brilliance of the undead shall bathe every corner of the world. When that time comes, the undead shall be eternal, and the cycle of reincarnation shall end.”
She spoke softly, her words like poetry, her eyes shining with a sacred, pure light.

“The immortality of the undead, and the divine oracle, shall be passed down for eternity.”
“But now is not yet the time for the Gate of Planes to open.”
At last, the girl answered the knight’s question.
“What?”
He had gotten the answer he sought, but it was one he could not accept.
“The Gate of Planes has already been completed, and the billions of undead are fully prepared. With a single command, we could unleash a tide that would sweep across the entire world. Yet now, at such a critical moment, you tell me it isn’t time?!”
The knight’s tone grew impatient.

“Yivrea, it’s precisely because you possess the power to revive our undead race that I went through great effort to free you from under the Heavenly Father’s gaze. But now, at the decisive moment, you tell me it isn’t time?”
“My lord… a million years have passed. Right now truly isn’t the time.”
Sensing something through the unseen, the silver-haired girl felt deep gratitude toward the undead leader who had freed her from the Heavenly Father’s imprisonment. And precisely because of that gratitude, she did not wish for anything to go wrong.
For some reason, she had a sudden, strong feeling that if they launched their assault on the Main World now, the undead would be doomed to fail.
“So you’re aware that a million years have passed…”
Slowly, the black-armored knight spoke again.

“In the million years since the birth of the Eight Great Factions, our Graveyard has been the quietest of them all. Whether it was the Inferno’s invasion of the Main World or the wars between the other factions, the Graveyard never once took part.”
“That is why our Graveyard, though counted among the evil factions, is the most orderly one.”
“But because of this restraint, over a million years, the world has come to see us as weak, as the easiest to bully among all the undead.”
“Now… it’s time the world learned just how powerful we of the Graveyard truly are.”
“With an army numbering in the billions, and three million Bone Dragons under our command, I refuse to believe any faction could stand against us.”
“But my lord… if the other seven factions unite…”
“Hmph, do you think I haven’t considered that?”

The knight’s glowing gaze turned cold.
“All undead of the Graveyard… are beings who burn with the desire to take revenge on the living.”
“As long as the fire of our souls does not extinguish.”
“The swords in our hands… shall never hesitate to strike.”
For a moment, the silver-haired girl seemed to see the undead behind the knight, fearless and unyielding, throwing themselves endlessly into battle against their enemies.
