Volume 9, Chapter 1 – The Time of the End
A cramped room.
Just like in Tianyin’s memories from the past, there were only simple wooden beds and wooden tables.
Such plain furnishings made Tianyin recall her former self, the one who only had 10 HP.
But… everything had changed.
What exactly she was, what she was supposed to do, and what her true purpose was, Tianyin herself did not actually know.
However, driven by some kind of instinct, Tianyin came here.
She directly crossed the void, crossed a distance of millions of miles, traversed the limits of the entire game world, and arrived at this very first beginner village.
And also… the very first house that appeared when she came to this world.
As she stepped into this room, the Light Orb from her memories also descended here.
But this time, the Light Orb was no longer wearing that cheerful, smiling demeanor. Instead, the Light Orb at this moment made Tianyin feel like a cold machine devoid of any emotion.
“This moment was something I had already foreseen. Those outsiders became the fuse that ignited everything, then attacked my guidance. Your eventual death at the hands of the Abyssal Lord was an unavoidable outcome.”
“That’s true.”
Tianyin did not disagree with the Light Orb’s words.
“Only through death could I restore the essence of my End. Your purpose was very simple from the very beginning. Whether it was adjusting my initial HP to 10 points, or letting me experience countless dangers while I was in the Main World.”
“Facing Throne-tier, Legendary, and wars. In fact, you were always trying to push me toward death. And the Abyssal Lord was your final method.”

“The calculations were indeed correct, but among countless calculations, you could only maintain the minimum guarantee.”
Compared to her former self who understood nothing, Tianyin at this moment looked back at everything that had happened as if from a god’s perspective. The schemes within were so clear that they could be seen through at a glance.
“The war of the undead didn’t kill me, the war of the beastmen didn’t kill me either. And those Throne-tier beings who wanted to kill me were all neutralized by me through various methods.”
“The deaths of the Undead Grand Duke and the Heavenly Father were actually because those two were existences capable of defeating the Abyssal Lord. So when you couldn’t control them, you could only sacrifice them.”
“That’s right, that was my calculation. Doesn’t it sound very simple?”
The Light Orb’s voice sounded cold and unfamiliar.
When everything is obscured by fog, people often believe that the truth behind it must be extremely complex. But in reality, everything is actually very simple and pure. Beneath layers upon layers of false coverings, the truest thing was merely the single-minded goal of wanting Tianyin dead.
“There are indeed far too many variables in this world. In my calculations, excluding direct intervention, there were a total of more than one hundred and eighteen thousand methods to make you die.”
“But among those one hundred and eighteen thousand methods, the only one that ultimately succeeded was the Abyssal Lord. The Abyssal Lord killing you was actually my final opportunity.”
“Final opportunity?”
Faced with the System calmly laying everything bare like this, Tianyin had her own judgment in her heart.
“Out of one hundred and eighteen thousand methods, only one succeeded. That success rate is practically zero. Yet you still managed to achieve it.”
After all, it was a case of deliberate planning against an unprepared target. And there were simply too many accidents in this world. Being able to calculate her death among one hundred and eighteen thousand methods clearly demonstrated the Light Orb’s capabilities.
“However, I have one question. Since there were one hundred and eighteen thousand methods that could kill me, why was the success rate so low?”

“Because of Yunchou.”
The System’s voice slowly sounded.
“That person came from a parallel world.”
“He was sent to this world by us from a parallel world. The purpose of his coming here was something I could not understand due to interference from parallel world rules. But it was also because of his existence that most of my methods to kill you became ineffective.”
“In the predetermined simulations, there were more than a thousand methods for having you killed by a Paladin. In the Kingdom Faction, there were also over five hundred methods for you to be killed by slave traders and certain nobles with special tastes due to coveting your appearance.”
“There were also more than a thousand methods involving being killed by the undead. However, all of these plans were destroyed at the very beginning by that outsider named Yunchou.”
“So that’s how it is.”
At this point, Tianyin had basically figured it out.
The reason the System had repeatedly sought her out before to explain the dangers of Yunchou was not because Yunchou truly posed a threat to her.
The most fundamental reason was that Yunchou’s interference caused the vast majority of the System’s opportunities to kill her before they were even born. And only by making Tianyin and Yunchou come into conflict would it be possible that, if Yunchou tried to forcibly interfere again, he might instead backfire.
And this was also why Yunchou later gave up on interference and chose the Abyssal Lord.
“A one-in-a-thousand chance that the Abyssal Lord could completely kill me. Was that the future Yunchou hoped for?”
“Yes.”
Yunchou’s reason for choosing the Abyssal Lord was already very simple.

Or rather, it was the despair that came from having already given up on struggling further.
Only under absolute despair would one choose to believe in a miracle with a one-in-a-thousand probability.
“A person from a parallel world… then in the future, would I do the same?”
Looking at the motionless Light Orb before her, Tianyin slowly stepped forward.
And as Tianyin advanced step by step, in her field of vision, that Light Orb also began to gradually fade.
Her originally fulfilled heart began to feel empty.
Her once rich emotions gradually became cold.
Absolute rationality began to dominate her existence. In Tianyin’s eyes, everything had patterns to follow, and everything could be calculated and deduced toward a final result.
“Samael.”
Before the complete fusion, Tianyin extracted from her gradually fading soul a girl who looked exceptionally lonely.
The girl had long hair the color of blood. There was not a single thread of clothing on her body, yet she was still breathtakingly beautiful.
Looking at the girl she had extracted, Tianyin’s originally cold eyes revealed their final trace of gentleness.
“Thank you for staying with me until the very end, Samael. So giving you a brand new body will be my final gift.”
“Thank you, Samael…”

As her voice fell, Tianyin’s figure had already vanished.
And within this cramped room, the girl that Tianyin had “created” still lay there, eyes closed, quietly sleeping.
No one knew what had happened here, and no one knew what would happen here.
And with Tianyin’s disappearance, it also marked the complete fusion of Tianyin and the System.
Two become one, absolute rationality replacing absolute emotion.
At once the Supreme and the End. At once creation and destruction.
The Abyss accompanies original sin, and despair replaces hope.
There is no light, and likewise no need for darkness.
From this point on – it is the time of the End.
