Volume 9, Chapter 24 – The Nature Mother Tree
Nature Plane.
After stepping through the legendary gate leading to the Nature Plane that Vynert had established, Samael arrived in the Nature Plane in a daze, accompanied by a sensation of weightlessness.
As the main base of the elf race who adored nature, the entire Nature Plane was covered in lush, vibrant green vegetation.
It could be said to be brimming with vitality, because as far as Samael could see, there was nothing but forests upon forests.
“Will she be here? And also… when the time comes, how am I supposed to make her believe what I say?”
The words spoken earlier by the Creation Dragon God Vynert echoed in her mind, and as Samael gradually calmed down, a trace of powerlessness welled up in her heart.
Because Xingyu Muxi didn’t know of her existence, if she rashly went to look for Xingyu Muxi… Samael really didn’t have the confidence to make Xingyu Muxi believe what she said.
Without a doubt, the smarter a person was, the more they thought, and even Samael herself praised Xingyu Muxi’s wisdom highly, so Samael was somewhat afraid that Xingyu Muxi would only think she was trying to sow discord.
“Uhh… anyway, let’s just take it one step at a time… after all, there’s no turning back anymore…”
While shaking her head and muttering to herself, a rustling sound suddenly came from the grass not far from Samael.
“Eh, who are you?”
Immediately after, a curious and cute voice rang out.

Along with the voice, a clearly elf girl walked out from behind the bushes.
Dressed in slightly tight-fitting elven leather armor and carrying a wooden recurve bow nearly half her height on her back, this cute-looking elf girl unexpectedly also carried a hint of heroic vigor.
Of course, with Samael’s abilities, she had already noticed the elf girl before the latter discovered her, and the reason Samael didn’t avoid her was because she had intended to ask for directions.
“Mm… wait, you’re not an Elf?”
Logically speaking, the next part of the conversation should have been Samael proactively stating that she was looking for someone, and then the peace-loving, gentle elf girl warmly answering her.
But… Samael forgot that this was the Nature Plane, which was the main base of the elves…
And as a main base, aside from elves and some important guests specially invited by the elven higher-ups, there shouldn’t normally be unfamiliar outsiders here.
So… after noticing Samael’s ears and her attire that was clearly completely different from an elf’s, the elf girl who had looked friendly just moments ago immediately took down the longbow from her back.
“Intruder!”
In just a brief instant, Samael experienced a shift in identity, from guest, to suspicious stranger, and finally to an intruder in the eyes of the elf.
Looking at the elf girl in front of her who was now fully on guard, Samael, who was very clear about her purpose for coming to the Nature Plane, quickly raised both hands.

Then, with what she believed to be the gentlest smile with the least hostility, and in what she believed to be the most peaceful tone, she spoke.
“I’m not an intruder… don’t misunderstand. I came here just to look for an acquaintance… um, although that person might not necessarily know me…”
“An acquaintance?”
Samael’s completely non-hostile actions made the elf girl somewhat confused. Although the weapon in her hands still maintained the posture of a drawn bow with an arrow nocked, the hostility radiating from her body had clearly faded.
Obviously, although the elf girl was vigilant, she was essentially still a very pure and worldly-inexperienced elf.
Because she lowered her guard simply due to Samael’s actions and gentle tone, such behavior was undoubtedly a mistake in Samael’s eyes.
Of course, in a certain sense, naïve and simple elves also had some advantages. That was that they were very easy to let down their guard toward strangers who “pretended to be kind”.
“This is our elven plane. Is the person you’re looking for also an Elf?”
The elf girl only paid attention to the word acquaintance in Samael’s words, subconsciously ignoring the part where Samael said that the other person didn’t know her.
“Mm, yes, she is indeed an Elf…”
While nodding and admitting that the person she was looking for was an elf, Samael recalled Xingyu Muxi’s appearance.
The reason she had to recall it was actually because although Samael knew of Xingyu Muxi, she had always raised Tianyin as her “daughter”, so anyone who tried to take away Tianyin’s “ownership” was her “enemy”.

So even though she usually had plenty of time and many opportunities to remember Xingyu Muxi’s specific appearance, for Samael, who was residing within Tianyin’s body, her memory of Xingyu Muxi’s appearance was actually not very deep.
Of course, she remembered her voice very clearly…
“An Elf? So that means you’re actually just here to find someone?”
“Mm, yes.”
“I see…”
Seeing Samael look sincere and not like she was lying at all, the elf girl didn’t suspect anything and directly chose to believe Samael.
“Alright then. Since you’re here to find someone, you count as a guest too. But do you know where the person you’re looking for is? After all, the entire plane is pretty vast.”
“About that…”
To be honest, although Xingyu Muxi really should be in the Nature Plane, Samael didn’t know Xingyu Muxi’s exact location within it.
However, just when Samael didn’t know what she should say, subconsciously… a spark of inspiration suddenly surged in her heart.
“It should be over there…”

Although this inexplicable feeling was very sudden, Samael believed that as someone close to Throne-tier, this clear sense of direction wouldn’t be wrong.
So, as she said this, Samael also raised her hand and pointed behind the elf girl.
“Eh?”
The elf girl was momentarily stunned by Samael’s action, and then her expression changed.
Following the direction Samael was pointing, the elf girl saw, far away on the horizon, behind layers upon layers of interwoven branches, a towering tree that seemed to connect heaven and earth.
“The Nature Mother Tree? You mean your friend is near the Mother Tree?”
That gigantic tree in the distance that seemed to connect heaven and earth was the origin point of the elf race, the life that nurtured the first elves, and also the source of the Nature Plane’s name, the Nature Mother Tree.
The World Tree on Mount Hyjal in the Main World, which similarly blotted out the sky, was actually evolved from a single branch of the Nature Mother Tree.
Of course… the reason the elf girl’s expression changed was also because only the elven higher-ups were qualified to live around the Nature Mother Tree.
And if Samael wasn’t lying to her, then that meant that the friend Samael was looking for was actually one of the high-ranking members of the Nature faction?
