Chapter 20.1
Chapter 20.1
The feud between Chu Xiaoxiao and Ms. Mei started back at the beginning of the school year.
Chu Xiaoxiao had just started kindergarten at that time, so she met a variety of kids and was introduced to a larger world. She used to play with her father and other family members at home, but now she had a ton of new playmates. All of them had different hair and eye colors, which made her so happy that she didn’t want to go home.
Since the kindergarten class existed, the children were naturally managed. Ms. Mei’s personality as a teacher was rather stern. Despite her kind and lovely appearance, she always had a straight face, as if people owed her money. Chu Xiaoxiao was able to see the color of other peoples’ emotions and initially just turned a blind eye to it.
At first, the two sides didn’t get along with each other, but it worsened when Chu Xiaoxiao corrected Miss Mei’s grammar in class when she made a mistake. In fact, this should not have been a serious matter, but the two of them did not give in to each other, thus starting a fight.
From that day on, Chu Xiaoxiao noticed a change in Ms. Mei’s mood. She became resentful and ostracized herself.
Fortunately, through her own abilities, she soon became close to the little cubs in her class. The other little cubs were naturally convinced by her abilities, and it didn’t take long for her to establish her status as the kindergarten cubs’ leader.
If a teacher wanted to manage a class, she would undoubtedly need a variety of skills, one of which was the ability to manage the leader of the pack. Ms. Mei repeatedly tried to hold down Chu Xiaoxiao, but always drew a great reaction from the other party.
Sometimes, children can only be subdued by being given a cold face. But Chu Xiaoxiao didn’t eat this trick as she immediately fought back against the other party’s cold words.
And because of her special position in class, Chu Xiaoxiao’s disdain and neglect of Ms. Mei was fatal. Other children treated Ms. Mei with the same attitude; they did not find her worthy of respect.
There was a special sense of tacit agreement among children. When they sensed who their fellow cubs disliked, they would also swarm away from them.
Ms. Mei was supposed to be the “sheep herder” who led the pack inside the classroom. Instead, the rest of the “sheep” were all running after her, running and jumping whenever they wanted, with absolutely no scruples.
Before the holidays, the kindergarten found out about the special situation in the class and requested Xiao Bi to come to the school and talk about it in detail.
After the two sides understood the cause of the entanglement, the head let Chu Xiaoxiao and Ms. Mei shake hands and make peace. Xiao Bi also told the school about her little girl’s special situation, and hoped that they could adjust their education methods slightly so that it would perhaps yield better results.
Chu Xiaoxiao and Ms. Mei then held hands and promised that the past feud between them would be over. The new semester would have been a new beginning.
The new semester was indeed a fresh new start, and Chu Xiaoxiao was a promising child who accomplished what Chu Xiaoyi hadn’t even achieved that year…making her own teacher cry.
In the office, Ms. Mei let out a hoarse cry and hiccuped, “She did it on purpose…she did it on purpose! I only picked up the pen, why did she suddenly do that?!”
“Okay, okay, Ms. Mei, wipe your face first. The people outside might hear it……”
“Let them hear it! It was the same last time too! I didn’t do anything wrong, but then I had to take a big scolding!”
“I have thought about it. What’s the big deal in quitting? I still can not deal with this!”
Chu Xiaoyi, who was passing by through the corridor, heard the voices in the room and could not help but feel a lot of embarrassment.
Although the teachers had closed the door tightly, their voices still penetrated through the wall, and it was obvious that his sister had given the teacher a serious psychological shadow.
This kindergarten offered a generous salary, so he guessed that the other party was also pushed to a desperate end so much that she planned to give up her “golden rice bowl”*.
*T/N: An employment in the industry which offers a good job security and a high rate of salary
Chu Xiaoyi did not plan to stay in the corridor for too long, so he lifted his legs to find his sister.
After looking for a while, he met Chu Xiaoxiao in the classroom. She was sitting alone and was calmly reading a book, making him both angry and amused.
Chu Xiaoyi teased, “Let me look at your ability, eh? How about you use your acting skills in front of me?”
He thought that Chu Xiaoxiao reading a book here was a hypocritical performance, truly worthy of being awarded an Oscar for child actors.
Chu Xiaoxiao saw him making a fuss in rebuke, her small face immediately revealed a trace of indignation. She said, “So you came to kindergarten for me?”
“……”
Look at her sharp-tongued attitude…But she is indeed much stronger than that teacher, not even crying angrily after facing the dislike of the other party.
As the former King of Trouble, Chu Xiaoyi patiently asked the new King of Trouble, “Why did you do that kind of thing? Didn’t you shake hands with the teacher and make peace last time?”
Chu Xiaoyi did not take the parental invitation too seriously, so he just took this time to talk to his sister seriously. His parents were also invited by teachers numerous times back in the day, so it was clear to him that the cause of the fights between the students and teachers were unresolved knots.
So with numerous teachers and students in this school, how come only the two of them got into a fight?
Xiao Bi had told Chu Xiaoyi of the matter back then, and he remembered that the two had clearly reconciled.
How did the trouble start again?
Chu Xiaoxiao denied, “There was no handshake and calling off of truce.”
Chu Xiao Yi retorted, “Nonsense, Mom has told me that you and the teacher promised each other last semester that you would both start over in the coming of the new semester.”
Chu Xiaoxiao said unhappily, “She didn’t make peace* with me, so I don’t want to make peace with her.”
*T/N: reconcile
Chu Xiaoxiao did promise at the time, but she came back only to find that her teacher hated her even more as she became more aggressive in her counterattack. Since the teacher took the lead in breaking her word, she should not abide by the rules either.
