Chapter 13.2
Chapter 13.2
Chu Xiaoyi said flagerbbasted, “Are they sick? I am only 23 years old this year, how can I give birth to a three-and-a-half-year-old daughter? Isn’t it prohibited by national law?”
The marriage law in mainland China stipulates that men must not marry earlier than the age of 22.Chu Xiaoyi felt that even if they wanted to slander him, they should have logic.
At least get your mathematics right!
He Xin gloated and said, “Very well, then it’s time to admit your daughter, lest the problem become more serious.”
“…”
Chu Xiaoyi waved his hand in annoyance, “What a mess. Hurry up and find someone to delete it!””
Celebrities have their own marketing and public relations teams. As long as they have the capital, they can directly control the media and silently remove bad posts. However, the things on the gossip forum usually can’t make a big wave. Basically, no one will believe such outrageous black posts. Many celebrities are not bothered and don’t even bother to spend money to get rid of them.
He Xin didn’t expect Chu Xiaoyi to ask for the post to be deleted. Chu Xiaoyi had no intention of taking action when he encountered more ruthless smears before.
He said in surprise, “Do you really want to delete it?You used to have a scandal with a male star, but you didn’t even ask us to clarify it. Wouldn’t clearing this matter right now make things worse?”
“In fact, it’s okay to have this slander. It’s a disguised proof of your sexual orientation. Maybe you can use it to clarify your sexuality…”
He Xin joked lazily while arranging work for the team to delete the post. He had seen many outrageous posts slandering Chu Xiaoyi. It’s not a big deal to have a daughter in secret, so he really didn’t have to worry about it.
“You have to put that news down! That’s my sister, how can it be the same!?”
Chu Xiaoyi used to be too lazy to pay attention to the slanderous posts, and he endured it in his heart, but this time his family was involved. Since his debut, he has protected his family information very well, and never let outsiders spy on his privacy. He knew how terribly excessive extreme fans were.
He Xin has long been aware of the habits of his artist, and exclaimed in regret, “It’s a pity. I originally came into contact with a variety show which was focused on family ties, and I think it’s very suitable for you…”
He Xin deliberately showed Chu Xiaoyi the posts on the entertainment forum, just to test his attitude.
I don’t know if he’ll consider this after he gets home.
Chu Xiaoyi refused. “Don’t even think about it, I won’t use my family to entertain the public!”
Chu Xiaoyi divided his work and life very clearly, and maintained a clear line with his fans, which even caused many fans to turn their backs on him. Because he’s sometimes too calm and vigilant, he makes radical fans feel unrequited.
But Chu Xiaoyi was not entirely to be blamed for this. If he could have learned how to be flexible a long time ago, why did he fall out with Chu Jiadong? He’s just not good at compromising, and he often speaks hard; his fan base is all supported by his face and strength.
Anyway, you can’t have the best of both worlds.
Chu Xiaoyi suffered from the pressure of fame on talent shows, and even suffered from the smear of his family’s capital. Naturally, he knew and could feel the pressure from the public. He can withstand all of these, but he doesn’t want his family to be involved in all this.
He Xin said regretfully, “Well then…”
Meanwhile, in the courtyard of their house in Yurongtai Community, Chu Xiaoxiao sat, quite dejected. She felt that her cheap brother was like the stray cat she met outside.
Obviously, there was a cat litter built especially just for him, but he doesn’t want to return. Instead, he had to wander outdoors. Did he fear being caught and sterilized by people in the community?
In fact, she didn’t want to always think about Chu Xiaoyi, but there was nothing else to distract her recently, which made her very helpless.
“Xiaoxiao.”
Chu Xiaoxiao suddenly heard herself being called. She looked around blankly and found Liang Shuangqi outside the tea room. She hurriedly leaned over to the window, where it was easier to hear the sound outside.
The little boy didn’t walk the cat today. He was wearing a light-colored down jacket and was carrying an oversized case taller than himself. He beckoned to her solemnly, “Are you a little mushroom in the greenhouse?”
The room where Chu Xiaoxiao was currently was a beautiful tea room with large windows which allowed light to pass through. Chu Xiaoxiao wore a little goose-yellow dress and squatted on a wooden bench, which made her really look like a small tender mushroom.
But for sure, she was a mushroom with something on her mind, as she had been sighing for a long time.
Life is not easy, ah!
Chu Xiaoxiao put on her coat and quickly ran outside the tea room, opened the iron gate of the courtyard for Liang Shuangqi, and invited him to come in and sit down.
In the tea room, Liang Shuangqi put down his huge instrument case with difficulty. Finally breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that he was alive.
He explained, “My dad just had to do something and asked me to wait for him in the same place, so I walked over here.”
Chu Xiaoxiao said in surprise, “Isn’t it cold outside?”
“ A little. Maybe my father has thicker skin, but I still feel cold.”
Liang Shuangqi had just returned from his interest class*. After finishing his class, they both walked to the center of the community.
But his father suddenly turned back and had some business to do, so he asked him to wait in place for a while. Liang Shuangqi’s father used to be a soldier, so he thought that the boy would be fine even if he was left in the cold for a while.
*Also known as after-school class, where parents send children to learn extracurricular activities of their choice (like piano, swimming, dancing, etc.)
Liang Shuangqi naturally wasn’t stupid. He found that this place was very close to Chu Xiaoxiao’s house, so he simply walked over slowly, just in time to meet her.
