Among Awakeneds, most of those with Electromagnetic Control or Temperature Control abilities have Mental Attribute priority. These are introductory subjects. You will study them specially after you enter our School.”

“School?”

The two returned to the underground parking lot of the four-star hotel in silence. Du Juan jumped out of the car, looked around, and walked straight toward the elevator.

Xiao Fen followed closely behind Du Juan. He was somewhat uneasy about the future he was about to face.

The elevator doors opened soon. Xiao Fen followed Du Juan inside. It looked like a very normal elevator on the outside. However, Xiao Fen saw a person dressed as a maintenance worker approaching with a sign in his hand behind them.

Du Juan glanced at Xiao Fen and explained as such. Then, she pressed a small camera below the floor buttons. “Click.” The button panel cracked in the middle, and a new red button appeared before Xiao Fen’s eyes.

“This stronghold is not big. There is only one floor underground. If you go to the School in the Imperial Capital, you will have the chance to enter the Asia Awakeneds Headquarters. It is much more imposing than here.”

As she spoke, Du Juan directly pressed the red button. The elevator shook and began to move.

From the feeling of weightlessness, Xiao Fen judged that the elevator was going down.

An Awakened’s ability comes from genetic mutation. Different genetic mutations lead to different types of abilities.

Therefore, as long as one observes which chromosome the Awakened’s genetic mutation comes from and what the mutation looks like, one can roughly deduce what the Awakened’s ability is.

According to this principle, Awakeneds’ abilities were divided into three major categories and nine types.

Energy Control Category: Pan-wave Control, Thermal Energy Control, Electromagnetic Control.

Physical Control Category: Bone Control, Cell Control, Precipitation Control.

Chemical Control Category: Gene Control Ability, Biological Poison Control, Biological Excitation Ability.

Although there were only nine types, each ability had several branch development directions. An Awakened could possess at most three abilities simultaneously. This meant that there were hundreds of choices just in ability combinations.

Combined with different development directions for different abilities, it could be said that the combat methods of every Awakened were absolutely different. Even Awakeneds with the same ability combination were so.

Reading up to this point, Xiao Fen finally realized how important Lux’s notes and Farrah’s inheritance were.
