Chapter 94: The General Behind the Scenes

Xiao Fen raised his head and took a look. At the end of that spiraling staircase, a small figure was looking over here under the dim light.

This figure suddenly reminded him of those dead children; the difference was that this figure looked to have a ferocious and cruel feeling inside it.

“How should I address you? General?”

Xiao Fen stared at the other party and asked.

“No, no, no, I am not a General. Among these people, my rank is just a Lieutenant Colonel. The General isn’t here right now. I am in charge of this base.”

“Oh, Lieutenant Colonel? Not a small official. What can you be in charge of now? Those guys above have all been killed by me, even the mother body was killed by me. Do you think there’s anything left here for you to be in charge of?”

“The Mutant Mother Body isn’t that easy to kill. Although its vitality will weaken over time, this time can last for more than ten days. Within ten days, at any time, if the mother body is transferred to a woman’s body, it can easily be kept alive.”

Xiao Fen shrugged and said: “That’s a good method, but it also made me understand one thing, which is that the mother body definitely has geographical restrictions. Without this restriction, you would have already spread or transferred the mother body. Why would you leave the mother body alone in that building, and only in a ghostly place like the 3rd floor?”

Looking at the small figure above his head, Xiao Fen continued, “So, even if you used almost all your power to attack Bofu Castle, you still must leave enough guards here, because the Mother Body cannot move. Once the Mother Body is lost, whether it is you or your Shogun, you will lose everything for the future.”

That small figure was quiet for a while, then answered, “Then, what is your choice?”

Xiao Fen laughed, and he replied, “Of course, you know my choice. To destroy this place is my choice. To let no mutant leave from here, to let the Mother Body completely perish, is my most correct choice.”

“This is not a correct choice, young man. Many people who made the same choice as you have now become those bones beside you, becoming nutrition for this building.”

Xiao Fen’s smile slowly turned cold. The Lieutenant Colonel’s words reminded him of the little girl he met on the 1st floor before, and the smile of that woman on the 3rd floor when she was dying.

For this Mother Body, too many people have made sacrifices, and more people live in pain. And he needed to completely destroy all this, so that all the pain would no longer continue.

“If I don’t try, I won’t know what the result will be, right?”

Xiao Fen’s smile finally became ferocious. He looked at the opponent above his head and continued, “If I don’t try, how would I know that your subordinates are so weak that they can’t even stop me? If I don’t try, how would I know that your Mother Body cannot leave this building at all? If I don’t try, there is nothing. I stand here just to try for this result.”

The small figure fell into silence again. After more than ten seconds, the Lieutenant Colonel said, “This is really a very troublesome thing. Dealing with a lackey like you is a waste for me, but if I let you try and try like this, maybe some trouble will appear. Fine, fine, letting you die here is a good thing for both you and me.”

As soon as the words fell, the Lieutenant Colonel leaped from the high stairs, jumping towards the place where Xiao Fen was standing.

While still in the air, the Lieutenant Colonel’s body began to gradually extend and grow, slowly becoming the size of a normal person. At the same time, Xiao Fen did not hesitate at all. He took out the handgun tucked behind him and fired a burst of shots at the Lieutenant Colonel in the air.

The Lieutenant Colonel’s falling speed was indeed very fast, but with Xiao Fen’s three talents working together, this burst of shots actually managed to hit the target several times.

The sounds of “thud thud” sounded like hitting rotten leather, but still, quite a lot of blood spurted out from the Lieutenant Colonel’s body.

“You dealt 24 damage to Lieutenant Colonel Kargin.”

Such messages appeared 4 times in a row before Xiao Fen’s eyes, which meant that his random shooting just now had hit the Lieutenant Colonel in front of him 4 times.

Even the Lieutenant Colonel’s body paused in the air because of this. He did not leap accurately to Xiao Fen’s side but moved back a few meters.

However, as Xiao Fen expected, this burst of random shooting did not have much effect in the end. Instead, the Lieutenant Colonel landed steadily on the ground. The momentum that stirred up the surrounding dust made Xiao Fen relax in his heart.

Obviously, this Lieutenant Colonel clearly had the strength above Level 2. Being able to survive after being hit by multiple guns, for a Grade A mission in a Level 0 Trial World, he was a qualified boss guarding the level.

A Level 3 opponent was absolutely a powerful opponent, one that could even make Xiao Fen feel a little despair.

But, as long as he thought about how most of the missions in this Trial World would come to an end after getting rid of this opponent, Xiao Fen could produce a desire, a desire to solve everything as soon as possible.

After the swirling dust gradually settled down, the true figure of that Lieutenant Colonel gradually revealed itself.

Now, his height was over 1.8 meters. His golden hair showed a kind of blurred feeling under the shining of the faint cold light source. His resolute face, as if cut by knives and axes, was even more stunning. Coupled with the shallow cold smile at the corner of his mouth, it added a seductive temperament to this Lieutenant Colonel.

“Good marksmanship,” the Lieutenant Colonel said. “However, such bullets are useless to me…”

A new gunshot interrupted his boasting. After this gunshot, the Lieutenant Colonel looked down at his chest in some disbelief. On a wound that was not very big, terrible black liquid was flowing everywhere.

“You dealt 27 damage to Lieutenant Colonel Kargin.”

“Your Acid Poison Bullet dealt 40 poison damage to Lieutenant Colonel Kargin.”

“Your Acid Poison Bullet dealt 40 poison damage to Lieutenant Colonel Kargin.”

“Your Acid Poison Bullet dealt 40 poison damage to Lieutenant Colonel Kargin.”

That was the Acid Poison Bullet. In the London Trial World, facing the Stitched Monster, which exceeded that trial world’s level and was almost equivalent to Level 4, it could cause heavy damage. Facing the Lieutenant Colonel in front of him, there was no need to worry about the effect.

“You, you actually dare…”

“Bang.”

This was the second shot, hitting the abdomen of this talkative Lieutenant Colonel.

On the larger wound, the Lieutenant Colonel’s internal organs almost turned black and deteriorated at the same time. Viscous liquid dripped from these wounds, stirring up purple smoke on the ground.

“You damn…”

For this kind of guy who always wants to finish a sentence before acting, the best answer is to not let him say a word. Xiao Fen fired again without hesitation. This time, it was this guy’s chest.

“Bang.”

“You hit the vital point of Lieutenant Colonel Kargin, dealing 52 damage.”

“Your Acid Poison Bullet dealt 40 poison damage to Lieutenant Colonel Kargin.”

“Your Acid Poison Bullet…”

With the third shot, the Lieutenant Colonel finally could not hold on. His body fell backward violently. In the end, without finishing his sentence, he was knocked to the ground by Xiao Fen just like that.

Xiao Fen stared at the Lieutenant Colonel’s corpse, the corner of his eye twitching slightly. Up to now, the mission still had no prompts. Could it be that there were other changes?
