Chapter 118: Think Carefully

With Sun Shumei joining in, Lin Meng was exceptionally aroused this time.

To be honest, he had always toyed with the idea of taking multiple women to bed at the same time. But things like this depended entirely on the situation. They might not mind him having other women, but sharing his bed with another woman at the same time was a completely different story.

Sun Shumei’s arrival today couldn’t have been timed more perfectly. It satisfied Lin Meng’s little twisted fantasy.

Since such a rare opportunity had presented itself, he was determined to enjoy it to the fullest. Once Cheng Xiue regained some strength, he had her straddle Sun Shumei, spreading her jade-like legs.

In this position, their overflowing secret gardens were almost overlapping. Lin Meng could alternate between the two of them with almost no pause, galloping tirelessly.

SQUELCH SQUELCH!

The women’s sweet moans, accompanied by the sounds of their bodies clapping together, echoed through the room like heavenly music. By the time it was over, both women were completely paralyzed with exhaustion, lying motionless on the bed for a long time.

Lin Meng, however, was in excellent spirits. After this fierce battle, the Yin Qi he had previously exhausted was largely replenished. He now had more than enough to treat Liu Yun.

At that moment, having recovered some of her strength, Sun Shumei slowly opened her eyes. "Xiao... Xiaomeng, how exactly are you planning to resolve this situation?"

Lin Meng smiled and glanced at the two of them. "That depends entirely on you."

Sun Shumei asked in confusion, "We’d like to help you, but there’s no way Li Dabiao would ever listen to me, right?"

"That’s not what I mean. I’m talking about your attitude toward this," Lin Meng replied straightforwardly. "To put it bluntly, Shumei, do you even like Li Dabiao?"

"Someone like him? How could I possibly like him!" Sun Shumei blurted out without a second thought.

"Then what if," Lin Meng continued to ask, "Li Dabiao completely disappeared from your life? Would you be sad, or would you hate me?"

Sun Shumei’s eyes widened in shock, rendering her momentarily speechless. She wondered, "Is he going to kill Li Dabiao? Is Lin Meng really this terrifying when he gets ruthless?"

Lin Meng didn’t say anything more, simply waiting for her answer.

Not loving someone and wanting them dead were two completely different concepts. Sun Shumei definitely didn’t love Li Dabiao, but after living together for years, she must have developed some familial affection for him. She certainly hadn’t reached the point of wishing him dead. It all boiled down to how much she actually cared about him.

A moment later, Sun Shumei snapped back to reality and said softly, "If he really died, I might be a little sad, but mostly, I’d just feel lost. I wouldn’t know how a woman like me is supposed to survive on her own."

Lin Meng chuckled. "Shumei, I’m relieved to hear you say that. If you trust me, help me gather evidence of Li Dabiao’s crimes over the years. Once he’s dealt with, I’ll take care of you for the rest of your life. I’ll never let anyone bully you again!"

Only then did Sun Shumei realize she had misunderstood. Lin Meng wasn’t planning to kill Li Dabiao; he wanted to send him to prison. However, the thought of stabbing her own husband in the back still weighed a bit heavily on her conscience.

Guessing her thoughts, Lin Meng added, "Shumei, I won’t force you into this. Even without your help, I have other ways to get it done, though it might take a bit longer.

"I just hope you’ll think it over carefully. Only you know what kind of life you’ve had to endure with Li Dabiao all these years."

Sun Shumei’s heart trembled. Memories flooded her mind—all the times she had painstakingly tried to maintain their household, only to suffer endless beatings, scoldings, and grievances from Li Dabiao. Her eyes stung, and tears immediately streamed down her face.

"Xiaomeng, I trust that you’re not a heartless person. I agree to help you."

Lin Meng gently wiped her tears away. "Shumei, thank you for trusting me. Even though I can’t give you a proper family in the future, I promise you’ll never suffer the slightest grievance with me."

"Mhm!" Sun Shumei nodded firmly, her heart completely surrendering to Lin Meng’s tenderness.

"Lin Meng, what about me?" Cheng Xiue, who had also recovered, asked nervously.

Lin Meng finally turned to look at her. "Sister-in-law Xiue, no one is more familiar with the evidence of Li Dahai’s embezzlement than you are. Are you willing to hand it over to me?"

Cheng Xiue’s heart sank. From the earlier conversation, she had faintly guessed Lin Meng’s true motive for seeking her out. But her situation was entirely different from Sun Shumei’s.

Although Sun Shumei and Li Dabiao had been married for years, they didn’t have any children. She and Li Dahai, on the other hand, had a daughter whom they had sent to study abroad. If she helped Lin Meng send Li Dahai to prison, what would her daughter think of her when she returned and found out?

Lin Meng didn’t pressure her. He smiled and said, "Both of you are my women now. Because of this relationship, I won’t force either of you to do anything.

"What I really want to say is that, whether you help me or not, and whether you end up hating me for it later, I’m going to go through with this.

"If this puts a knot in your hearts, then let today’s craziness be our final farewell."

Having said his piece, Lin Meng didn’t linger. He got up and put on his clothes. "I’ve said all I needed to say. You two take your time and think it over."

After Lin Meng left, the lingering ambiguous atmosphere in the room completely vanished, replaced by a heavy silence.

"Shumei, are you really planning to..."

"Yes, I’ve already made my decision!"

Cheng Xiue frowned deeply. "But if you do that, your family will be torn apart. And Lin Meng already said he can’t marry you."

Sun Shumei offered a bitter smile. "So what if I keep this family together? If I stay with Li Dabiao, I’ll never have a good day for the rest of my life. I might honestly live more freely on my own."

Cheng Xiue opened her mouth to speak but found herself entirely at a loss for words.

The next morning, Lin Meng arrived at Wang Wei’s house bright and early.

Although it was still early, a large crowd of people had already gathered outside, mostly there about leasing out their land.

Strangely, however, when they saw Lin Meng approaching, not a single person stepped forward to ask him anything. He didn’t even need to think about it to know this definitely had something to do with Li Dabiao.

He tracked down Wang Wei and asked, and sure enough, Li Dabiao and Li Dahai had spread word early that morning: anyone who leased their land to Lin Meng would be guilty of conducting private transactions, and their land would be confiscated by the village.

Although they were just bluffing, it was clearly effective. Even though everyone knew the law couldn’t punish the masses, no one dared to be the first to stick their neck out.

Faced with this situation, Lin Meng let out a cold sneer, already formulating a solution.

Just then, Pan Qiaolian walked into the crowd and asked with a bright smile, "Xiaomeng, I heard that if we lease our land to you, not only do you pay an extra five hundred per mu, but you also pay upfront. Is that true?"

Lin Meng blanked for a moment before a wave of gratitude washed over him. Pan Qiaolian had clearly heard about last night’s incident and, seeing the current stalemate, deliberately stepped up to help him break the ice.

"That’s right. Qiaolian, do you want to lease your land to me?"

"Mhm. My family has over a dozen mu of land, and I can’t manage it all by myself. I’ll lease nine mu to you!" Pan Qiaolian smiled.

Lin Meng nodded slightly. "Nine mu. According to Li Dabiao’s leasing price, that’s five hundred. I’ll add another five hundred, making it a thousand per mu. That totals nine thousand.

"However, since you’re my first client, I’ll round it up for you. Let’s make it an even ten thousand."

With that, Lin Meng didn’t hesitate for a second. He unzipped his backpack, revealing the stacks of crisp red banknotes inside, before pulling out a bundle and placing it directly into Pan Qiaolian’s hands.

The surrounding villagers stared intently at this exchange, their eyes turning completely red with envy.
