Chapter 201

"But if we do that, Taohua Village’s economy..."

Mu Qinghuan subconsciously wanted to argue back, but stopped herself mid-sentence. She suddenly realized that Lin Meng’s approach was the correct one, and far more suitable for long-term development.

The goal her father and the town leaders had set for her was to lift Taohua Village out of poverty and multiply its economy by at least ten times. Eager to achieve this as quickly as possible, she had repeatedly pressured Lin Meng to hand over his Beauty Liquid formula so the entire village could produce it and make money together. As for what would happen after the goal was met, she hadn’t considered it at all.

After her conversation with Lin Meng, she finally realized something.

Lifting Taohua Village out of poverty didn’t necessarily mean making everyone filthy rich. Multiplying the economy by ten didn’t require every household to strike it wealthy, either. Sometimes, a single factory was enough to drive the economic development of a small area. This principle held true even in big cities.

"Secretary Mu, do you have anything else to say?" Lin Meng asked. "If not, I’ll be taking my leave. I still have a lot of things waiting for me to do!" Seeing her fall silent, he had lost the patience to stay any longer.

"No, you can go," Mu Qinghuan replied, snapping back to reality, her expression turning somewhat complex.

Lin Meng didn’t say another word and simply turned and walked out.

"Is this guy really a country bumpkin?" Mu Qinghuan muttered, watching his retreating back.

Even though she harbored a distaste for men, she had to admit that Lin Meng’s speech and awareness showed absolutely none of the narrow-minded limitations typical of rural villagers. Nor did he possess that deep-seated, submissive inferiority complex when facing people from the upper echelons of society. In some aspects, he was even better than her.

Although part of this was due to her own tunnel vision—focusing only on achieving her goals as quickly as possible without considering the broader picture—it was still quite astonishing.

Of course, Lin Meng himself was unaware of these changes. As his Realm in cultivating the Yin Yang Great Dao Skill increased, not only did his mind become clearer, but he also developed a profound confidence radiating from his very bones.

At this moment, Lin Meng walked out of Mu Qinghuan’s office, ready to head outside.

Suddenly, Wu Lanzhi popped out from an adjacent corridor and grabbed his arm. "Xiaomeng, did you just go to the village secretary’s office?"

"That’s right. What’s up, Sister Lanzhi?" Lin Meng asked curiously.

Wu Lanzhi lowered her voice to a whisper. "Xiaomeng, aren’t you and the village secretary at odds? I saw the two of you almost get into a fight during the meeting earlier."

Lin Meng nodded. "We clashed a bit on our ideas, but we’ve already talked it out. You can rest assured, Sister Lanzhi, it won’t affect you."

"Oh my, that’s not what I meant at all!" She glanced around before pulling Lin Meng into a nearby office.

Lin Meng took a look around and realized it was the village chief’s office. A few of Li Dahai’s photos were still lying around, yet to be disposed of.

"Xiaomeng, don’t you worry. You’re the one who made me the Women’s Director. If you ever argue with the village secretary again, I’ll definitely take your side," Wu Lanzhi declared with absolute earnestness, hugging his arm.

Lin Meng was taken aback, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. He had been wondering why Wu Lanzhi was acting a bit strangely. It turned out she was making her stance clear.

"Sister Lanzhi, things aren’t as serious as you think. You just need to keep your head down and do your job properly."

"Really? It looked like you two were arguing pretty fiercely just now."

Lin Meng smiled helplessly. "It was like that earlier, but we cleared the air in her office just now."

"I see. Then I can rest easy." Wu Lanzhi let out a soft sigh of relief.

"Well then, Sister Lanzhi, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be going," Lin Meng said, turning to leave.

"What’s the rush?" Wu Lanzhi pressed her body against his, batting her seductive eyes. "I saw how heated you were just now, Xiaomeng. Don’t you want to relieve some of that fire?"

"Sister Lanzhi, can you still handle it?" Lin Meng gulped. He glanced down at Wu Lanzhi’s lower half. He had tossed her around pretty hard last night, and the swelling probably hadn’t even gone down yet.

"If I can’t use that, I still have my mouth, don’t I?" She winked her left eye, flashing a highly experienced smile.

Lin Meng felt a jolt of electricity shoot through him from that look, instantly pitching a tent!

Wu Lanzhi had already squatted down. Reaching toward his waist, she gently pulled his pants down, instantly exposing the massive behemoth to her eyes. She licked her lips and leaned right in.

"Hiss... Sister Lanzhi, you’re amazing!" Lin Meng groaned in pure comfort, subconsciously praising her.

Encouraged by his words, Wu Lanzhi worked even harder. Her agile tongue swirled non-stop while her suction grew stronger and stronger. Lin Meng held her head, feeling a numbing, tingling sensation right down to his soul.

He had to admit, doing this kind of thing in a formal setting like the village committee office carried an indescribable thrill.

But just as he was fully immersed in the pleasure, a voice rang out from outside.

"Xiaomeng, are you in there? I heard your voice just now."

It was Wu Mengmeng.

Lin Meng and Wu Lanzhi’s expressions both changed, panic flashing in their eyes. Before they could even react, the doorknob started turning.

Lin Meng broke out in a cold sweat. Seeing that Wu Mengmeng was about to walk in, he acted purely on instinct, shoving Wu Lanzhi under the desk while he quickly sat down in the office chair.

The front of the desk had a modesty panel blocking the view. With him sitting there, anyone standing opposite the desk wouldn’t be able to see what was happening underneath.

No sooner had he settled into position than Wu Mengmeng walked in.

"Sister Mengmeng, did you need me for something else?" Lin Meng asked, feigning calmness.

"Nothing much. I just wanted to ask what you and Secretary Mu were talking about." Wu Mengmeng looked at him curiously.

"Just things regarding the development of Taohua Village. I already explained my thoughts to her, so she probably won’t cause me any more trouble for a while." Lin Meng gave a brief summary of the situation.

"Phew, that’s a relief." Wu Mengmeng breathed a sigh of relief, a smile blossoming on her face. "Actually, I can tell that Secretary Mu also wants what’s best for Taohua Village, but her methods are a bit too extreme. It’s wonderful that you two managed to talk it out."

"Yeah, I think so too." Lin Meng forced a smile, panicking on the inside. He could clearly feel Wu Lanzhi taking him into her mouth again, bobbing her head up and down.

"Alright then. Since your conflict is resolved, I’ll go get back to work," Wu Mengmeng said, in high spirits as she turned to leave.

"Hiss—!"

But right at that moment, Lin Meng’s entire body went rigid. He sucked in a sharp breath of cold air, his facial features scrunching together as if he were in immense pain.

Hearing the noise, Wu Mengmeng looked back and immediately wore a worried expression. "Xiaomeng, what’s wrong? Are you not feeling well?"

"N-No... it’s nothing. My leg just cramped up suddenly."

Lin Meng squeezed out an awkward smile while reaching down to secretly smack Wu Lanzhi on the head.

This woman! Ever since she ducked under the desk, she hadn’t stopped moving at all. If anything, her movements were getting wilder. Just now, she had even bitten him, almost as if she were doing it on purpose!
