Chapter 3: The Villain Senior Brother Is About to Turn Dark, and the Crazy Junior Brother Pretends to Be Blind [3]
"Senior Brother..."
Ye Beiyu stared dead at Bai Yan, his Adam's apple bobbing as he murmured softly before falling silent, looking completely stunned, like he'd been scared shitless.
That perked Bai Yan right up, and the amusement in his eyes deepened.
After being used as a stepping stone for protagonists so many times, grinding the protagonist under his heel naturally felt fucking fantastic.
He wanted to drink in Ye Beiyu's pathetic, fragile state—even a year later, he still couldn't get his fill.
What he didn't know was that Ye Beiyu was using every shred of willpower not to shove him down onto the bed that very second.
To do all the crazy shit he only ever dared to dream about...
Ye Beiyu's body gave a slight tremble. He bit his lip and dropped his gaze, afraid to look any longer.
Bai Yan was barely covered in a dark red robe, his long black hair spilling every which way like an inky waterfall, exposing broad expanses of pale skin.
Faint marks of old injuries lingered on his skin, along with smears of white medicinal ointment that hadn't quite soaked in—enough to make a person's mind wander.
Propping himself up with one hand, he let the robe slide off his shoulder without a second thought, baring a smooth, rounded shoulder. He looked totally at ease, and even as he talked about punishment, that teasing smile stayed on his lips, like he was messing with a little pet.
The way he had his foot propped up against Ye Beiyu's shoulder was impossible to ignore—one glance up and he'd see even more.
He couldn't help but want to grab that ankle, then slowly trail his hand up those smooth, fair, perfectly shaped legs, sliding into the folds of that red robe, and then...
Ye Beiyu's lashes fluttered, and the hand at his side had already curled into a fist.
He knew Bai Yan only acted like this because he thought he was "blind."
If Bai Yan ever found out he could see, he'd never get this close to him again...
Ye Beiyu finally choked down the urge clawing at his chest. He tucked away the shadows in his eyes and kept that same meek, obedient look plastered on his face.
Bai Yan mentally pinged: [717, toss me a pill.]
[What pill? What're you up to? Don't tell me you're gonna—]
Bai Yan could've sworn 717 didn't sound worried about Ye Beiyu at all—more like excited and weirdly eager.
[Obviously, something to keep him conscious.]
[Huh? Oh... pfft... Don't bug me with this petty crap next time. You've got your own stash anyway.]
717 huffed in annoyance: [It's my damn off-hours. I clocked in for overtime, not to watch you play with the male lead.]
Bai Yan felt a pill materialize in his palm and ignored 717's bitching.
He rolled the pill between his fingers, shot Ye Beiyu a smirk, then leaned in close to murmur against his ear,
"What, cat got your tongue? You messed up my bed—even if you're in shock, you're still getting punished."
Before Ye Beiyu could react, he seized his jaw with one hand and shoved the pill into his mouth with the other!
"Mmph! Cough, cough..."
The pill melted on his tongue instantly. Ye Beiyu's eyes went wide with panic, and he looked up at Bai Yan with tears glistening.
"Senior Brother..."
Ye Beiyu dropped his gaze, playing up the fear, his body quivering as he practically flung himself at Bai Yan's feet.
Then he fumbled blindly and latched onto Bai Yan's calf, a dark, manic hunger flooding his chest.
He knew Bai Yan ate this shit up, and he didn't mind performing—after all, this was his senior brother, his...
At this angle, no one could catch what was in his eyes, so he dropped the act.
Bai Yan, meanwhile, was loving every second of Ye Beiyu cowering like that. Instead of shoving him off, he drawled lazily:
"You screwed up, so no sleep for you. Tonight, you're standing guard outside like a good boy."
"But Senior Brother, I'm really tired..."
Ye Beiyu kept his head down, but his voice was dripping with hurt.
Even without looking, Bai Yan could picture exactly how pathetic and wronged Ye Beiyu looked right now.
He didn't feel a single ounce of pity. Instead, he snatched Ye Beiyu by the wrist, yanked him up, and hauled him toward the door.
Ye Beiyu's clothes were still damp, and in his thin robes under the cold night wind, his face went even paler in the moonlight, his lips losing all their color.
That face—a once-in-a-lifetime kind of beautiful—shivering in the cold wind would've made anyone's heart ache.
But Bai Yan just pulled his robe tighter, flicked a hand to cast a barrier, and sealed Ye Beiyu inside it.
He crouched down to meet Ye Beiyu's eyes, his voice colder than the night wind, sharp enough to cut bone.
"Stand watch like a good boy. Don't even think about wandering off."
With that, Bai Yan headed back inside, but inwardly he sighed. If he left this little waste out here all night, the kid would probably be half-dead by morning.
Too bad he couldn't push it further—if 717 sniffed out his real plan, it might tattle to the Supreme God space.
Ye Beiyu felt warmth wrap around him. Watching that flash of red vanish from view, he let his lips curl, dropping all pretense.
His senior brother was always like this—tough talk, soft heart.
Ye Beiyu waited outside for a good long while, figured enough time had passed, then sent out a thread of spiritual sense to check.
Once he confirmed the man inside was dead asleep, he slipped through the barrier, eased the door open, and padded to the bedside.
Bai Yan, still asleep, seemed to sense someone come in. His brow twitched, like he was about to stir.
But Ye Beiyu was quicker. A flick of his wrist and a small porcelain bottle was in his hand. He popped the cork, and a wisp of green smoke curled out.
As Bai Yan sank back into sleep, Ye Beiyu pressed a barely-there kiss to the corner of his mouth, the madness and obsession in his eyes no longer concealed.
His cool fingertips ghosted over Bai Yan's brows and eyes. He let out a breath of a laugh, then murmured slowly, deliberately,
"Senior Brother... what I want to dirty isn't just your bed..."
