Chapter 184: Robbery

Lin Jian was waiting for night to fall.

In truth, he hadn’t come here to gamble, even though he could have easily dominated the tables and cleaned out the house. But what was the point of just beating the dealer? He was here to rob them blind! Only by completely clearing out this underground casino could he make it hurt—and only then would the Ye family know he had arrived. Right now, it was still daylight outside, making him far too conspicuous a target if he were to rob the place and run. Therefore, he had to wait until dark to make his move.

However, just after night fell and Lin Jian was getting ready to strike, another group of people walked in from outside! There were a good twenty or thirty of them, immediately exchanging chips and hitting the tables as soon as they entered. Lin Jian couldn’t help but chuckle. The more people there were, the more he could rob!

Since he wasn’t using Thought, he eventually lost his entire one hundred thousand US Dollars. Right as the dealer swept his last chips away, he slammed both fists onto the table!

This was the signal to strike!

The card table shattered into pieces instantly. The vigilant security guards surrounding the area immediately closed in on him. Yet, at that very moment, Sha Shun charged up the partitioned staircase, smashed straight through the door, and burst into the surveillance control room! Just as the men inside reached for their guns, Sha Shun’s fists were already flying at them. The four men in the control room couldn’t withstand a single move from him, quickly losing consciousness.

Back in the main hall, the guards closing in on Lin Jian had no idea what kind of terrifying existence they were about to face. Before they even had the chance to draw their weapons, Lin Jian made his move! Moving like an agile monkey, his actions were not only clean but incredibly fast.

With a heavy SMASH, he punched the nearest guard squarely in the face. As the man fell backward, Lin Jian lightly flicked his wrist, smoothly slipping the handgun from the guard’s waist holster right into his own hand!

The moment he got the gun, he dropped the magazine into his palm, then spun around and smashed the empty weapon into the face of a second guard! Perhaps he had used a bit too much force, because the second guard flew into the air with a scream before crashing heavily to the floor, knocked out cold. The third guard managed to draw his gun, but an intact bullet instantly pierced right through his hand, causing his weapon to clatter to the ground! The fourth guard was even unluckier; as he went to draw his gun, it actually got stuck in the holster. Taking full advantage, Lin Jian stepped onto a table and drove his knee right into the man’s face!

THUD!

All four guards in the hall were down on the ground, unable to get back up!

Meanwhile, over at the chip exchange counter, Chen Dachun was pointing a gun at the cashiers inside and roaring, "Cash! Fill it up! Go, go!"

This guy had picked up a gun and officially started the robbery! Of course, whether from fear or excitement, Chen Dachun’s arms were trembling violently. He clearly didn’t have his father’s nerve; when his old man killed people, he could still leisurely sing classic poetry. But this guy was shaking like he had a stroke just from committing a simple robbery.

Lin Jian glanced around at the customers, who were all crouching on the floor with their hands over their heads. Slowly, he picked up a gun and announced, "Listen up, everyone. Right now... all of you get the hell out. Whoever walks too slow gets a bullet in the leg!"

Hearing that they were actually being let go, the Chinese customers frantically squeezed their way toward the exit!

By this time, Chen Dachun had acquired several backpacks and stuffed them entirely with cash! He had snagged the bags from a few tourists, dumping out their belongings to make room for the money. As everyone scrambled out of the casino, Sha Shun emerged carrying the four unlucky security guards. Lin Jian grabbed one guard in each hand as well, and together, they tossed all the unconscious men into the emergency escape stairwell.

Sha Shun then took the backpacks of cash and slung them over his shoulders.

Lin Jian pulled out a lighter, set a tablecloth on fire, and tossed the burning cloth onto a sofa. As he casually committed arson, he remarked, "Dachun, bring a few bottles of gasoline next time. This is way too much effort."

"S-Sure..."

Dachun found himself stuttering; the whole experience was just too damn thrilling.

As the raging flames caught on, Lin Jian led Dachun and Sha Shun in a swift escape from the casino. The unconscious guards eventually woke up, and upon seeing the blazing fire, they desperately fled for their lives as well.

The inferno burned fiercely, spewing tongues of flame through the billowing black smoke!

Meanwhile, Ye Yuanhang, who was having dinner with friends, received a report from one of his men. "Mr. Ye, the casino at 184 Chinatown was robbed and set on fire. However, there were no casualties. Initial estimates suggest the perpetrators made off with all of today’s cash flow, approximately three million US Dollars."

Ye Yuanhang paused in surprise for a moment, then nodded. "Find them, and burn them alive."

"Yes, sir."

The subordinate walked off with his phone to issue the orders, while Ye Yuanhang resumed eating with his friends as if nothing had happened.

Inside the Presidential Suite of the Grammy Hotel.

Jiang Xue was wearing a long nightgown, sitting cross-legged on the sofa and playing a game on her phone when the butler knocked and walked in.

"Miss, there’s a minor piece of news from Chinatown. I’m not sure if you’d be interested in hearing it."

"Oh?" Jiang Xue looked up. "What news? Let’s hear it."

"Sparrow Hall at 184 Chinatown was robbed and set ablaze. I heard they made off with a lot of money. The Chinese Association is frantically searching for the culprits as we speak!"

COUGH, COUGH, COUGH!

Hearing the butler’s words, Jiang Xue nearly choked on her own saliva!
