Chapter 226: Dachun Got a Superpower

Sha Shun had personally seen Lin Jian’s leaf increase Thomas and Laine’s Superpowers fivefold. Therefore, the leaf Lin Jian was handing Dachun now should grant a Superpower too, right?

Confused, Dachun took the leaf and put it in his mouth. However, the moment it touched his saliva, the leaf instantly melted, turning into liquid and flowing down his throat!

It felt incredibly refreshing, tasting just like mint! But before the cooling sensation could completely fade, an unbearable, burning heat suddenly washed over Dachun’s body. He began to sweat profusely, his clothes soaking through in no time!

Even Lin Jian and Sha Shun could smell the sour, foul stench of his sweat. It was truly awful! Dachun smelled it himself, too.

"Boss, what did you give me? I’m burning up! My whole body feels weird. Is it some kind of aphrodisiac leaf? I feel like I could mount a horse and charge into battle right now!"

Lin Jian had been continuously using his Thought to inspect the inside of Dachun’s body. He discovered that the leaf’s liquid had mixed with his blood, and this mixture was slowly forcing the impurities out of his blood and body through his pores! Detoxification!

Naturally, due to the active liquid, although Dachun felt uncomfortable, Xiaoxiao Chun proudly reared its head! The leaf also acted as an aphrodisiac!

"Don’t panic. It’s a detoxifying leaf," Lin Jian said. "Besides, don’t you feel different?"

"I feel it! I feel like if I don’t release this, I’m going to die of frustration! I feel like I have an endless supply of Power coursing through my whole body!" Dachun felt deeply aggrieved. The boss had given him an aphrodisiac leaf and was now studying him like a guinea pig.

However, aside from the burning heat, the cold sweats, and Xiaoxiao Chun acting up, there didn’t seem to be any other issues. In fact, he felt a surge of Power and a sensation of looking down on everything!

He wondered, "Wait, why would I look down on everything? Just because of Xiaoxiao Chun?"

This guy, Dachun, was feeling quite smug. Over the past few days, he had been exchanging flirtatious glances with a girl in the bar. Naturally, at first, he had his eyes on Emily, but he later realized Emily was out of his league, so he started hunting for other prey.

At this moment, Lin Jian got out of the car, and Sha Shun followed suit. The two took a few deep breaths, then pulled out cigarettes and lit up. The smell inside the car was completely unbearable!

Dachun opened the car door with a bitter expression. "Boss, I want to take a shower!"

"Hold on a second!" Lin Jian ordered Sha Shun, "Go inside and have Thomas ask Smith what his Superpower is."

Sha Shun strode into the bar. A minute later, he walked back out and said, "Thomas said it’s Speed like the wind!"

Lin Jian nodded, tilting his head to look at the aggrieved Dachun in the car. "Did you hear that?"

Dachun looked bewildered. "Hear what?"

Sha Shun wasn’t a man of many words, but even he couldn’t help taking a deep breath. "Jian means that you’ve gained a Superpower—Speed like the wind!"

BOOM!

Dachun instantly leaped out of the car, his eyes as wide as saucers. "Boss, really?"

"Try it and you’ll know," Lin Jian said, giving him a look.

"How do I try? How do I try? Let me think, let me think..." By now, Dachun was so excited that he was stumbling over his words. Lin Jian wouldn’t lie to him, and Sha Shun certainly wouldn’t deceive anyone either. So, combining this with what had just happened, was he truly going to have a Superpower?

"Just run. Run forward!" Sha Shun reminded him.

"Right, right, run, run, I’ll run..."

SWISH SWISH SWISH!

At first, he looked like he was jogging, taking it step by step along the side of the road. But after running a few dozen meters, his Speed began to increase! Lin Jian watched as he instantly surpassed the Speed of a hundred-meter sprinter, and then he kept accelerating, faster and faster.

Because Sha Shun was a Grandmaster and possessed True Qi Inner Power, Lin Jian didn’t have to worry about his safety. But Dachun was completely defenseless. The guy was a spoiled second-generation heir—lazy, gluttonous, deceitful, slick, lustful, and on top of that, a coward. In short, Dachun was practically useless!

However, he was now following Lin Jian, and having such a useless person tagging along would just make him a burden. But now, he had the Superpower of Speed! It was at least Level Five—an A-rank Speed, or quite possibly even higher! Therefore, he would no longer be a burden, but another trump card!

Lin Jian was extremely satisfied.

"From now on, I want you to instruct him in Power, stamina, endurance against hits, and some free-combat training. I want to see results in three months!"

"Alright," Sha Shun nodded in agreement.

"I’m heading out!" Lin Jian turned and left, soaring into the dark sky a moment later.

Tonight, he was going to continue searching for Old Ye, and he was going to use his Thought to scan every single inch of San Francisco!
