Chapter 65: Young Master?
Chapter 65: Young Master?
Lightning flashed and thunder rolled! Swords and sabers clashed!
Lin Jian dashed forward, while Heizi and Yanzi did the same simultaneously. And just as another flash of lightning illuminated the sky and thunder boomed, Lin Jian and Heizi finally collided.
Heizi’s dual sabers were blindingly fast—so fast that Lin Jian was forced to dodge sideways. He was shocked, realizing that if he hadn’t possessed Mind Sensing, he wouldn’t have been able to dodge this clash.
A master! One who had trained External Boxing to its absolute peak, honing his physical coordination to perfection.
Naturally, Heizi never expected his dual sabers to miss!
The two brushed past each other, neither gaining the upper hand. However, right at that moment, a high heel came flying at him, followed by a flash of a sword swiping right toward Lin Jian’s throat!
Lin Jian broke out in a cold sweat. What a fast sword! One used sabers, and the other used a sword! Most importantly, both utilized ordinary martial arts moves, adhering to the path of External Boxing rather than Inner Boxing!
What did this mean? It meant both had been trained since childhood; they were professionals.
The throat-slashing sword didn’t stop. Yanzi’s blade was incredibly fast, its movements somewhat resembling the Swordsmanship seen in televised martial arts performances! However, this Swordsmanship was a Killing Sword, not for mere performance!
Lin Jian retreated two more steps to evade Yanzi’s sword, then suddenly took the initiative to attack. He had no weapon in hand, but that didn’t mean he would be completely at his opponent’s mercy. Although he had only begun practicing martial arts in middle school, he truly was a martial arts genius. He was a rare prodigy, the likes of which hadn’t been seen in sports schools for over a decade. His physical coordination, flexibility, explosive Power control, and understanding of techniques were all outstanding.
And now, equipped with Mind Sensing—something others lacked—it was as if he had the added advantage of viewing a slow-motion close-up. At this moment, he could easily perceive the Speed, angle, and Power of his enemy’s sword. Therefore, it was impossible for him to be suppressed at every turn.
When Yanzi missed three consecutive strikes, he seized the opportunity to close the distance. First, he threw a feint punch. As Yanzi subconsciously moved to defend, he stomped hard on her right foot.
Yanzi winced in pain and swung her sword in a horizontal slash.
However, Lin Jian was one step ahead again, catching her sword-wielding wrist barehanded. But he didn’t snatch the sword. Instead, holding her wrist, he swiftly pivoted and pulled. Incredibly, Yanzi’s sword sliced right across her own neck!
SQUELCH.
Blood sprayed out. Yanzi stared blankly down at her own body, as if she couldn’t fathom why her own sword had cut her throat. However, the blood spurting from her neck caused her to instinctively clutch it!
"Yanzi!"
Heizi let out a furious roar, lunging forward to stab at Lin Jian! At that moment, Lin Jian swiftly snatched the sword. With a flick of his wrist, the blade instantly straightened.
SQUELCH.
Heizi charged as if he cared nothing for his own life. Lin Jian used no flashy moves; he simply thrust forward, piercing Heizi’s throat from a tricky angle!
Heizi’s face was filled with disbelief! How could his opponent’s sword be so fast? And how had he found such a perfect angle? He had actually managed to find a flaw between his dual sabers and seal his throat with a single strike!
Heizi froze in place. A moment later, he slowly fell to his knees and collapsed into Yanzi’s arms!
Lin Jian closed his eyes, and his hands finally began to tremble! Combat was exhilarating, and blades had no eyes! But after the fight, after killing someone, fear washed over him like buckets of ice water. He wanted to stay calm, but he simply couldn’t! He didn’t even dare to look at Heizi and Yanzi’s corpses.
The sword dropped to the ground, but he quickly picked it up and vigorously wiped the hilt with Yanzi’s clothes where he had gripped it. The heavy rain suddenly poured down once more, the raindrops hitting his face so hard it hurt. The blood on the ground mixed with the rainwater, forming streams that were gradually washed away.
At this moment, Lin Jian finally took a deep breath, forcefully suppressing his inner unease. He tucked the two bodies under his arms and dashed toward the graveyard. A moment later, he dumped them into the pre-dug pit and covered them with yellow mud.
"Have a safe journey to the underworld. Don’t run into me again in your next lives," Lin Jian muttered softly to the two before turning and quickly leaving!
As for their car, Lin Jian didn’t even spare it a glance; he’d just leave it parked there. He believed that the person behind these two killers would find the car tomorrow.
By the time he returned to the Green City Villa, it was already 3:00 a.m. He had already changed clothes. He still had some old clothes at the old family residential building, so he had gone back there to change.
At 3:00 a.m., the villa was completely silent. Before entering, Lin Jian scanned the place with his Thought and found Ye Ziqiu and Jiang Xue sleeping in the same bed. Ye Ziqiu was wearing a silk nightgown, but the petite and exquisite Jiang Xue was actually in Level 1 Sleep.
Seeing this, Lin Jian felt a burning sensation in his nose again. At the same time, he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Living with two such gorgeous beauties every day, he was going to die of frustration. It was too unbearable.
Reluctantly, he withdrew his Thought and tiptoed into the villa’s main hall! However, just as he was about to reach the sofa, a voice suddenly came from upstairs. "So you still know how to come back?"
"Holy shit..." Lin Jian nearly jumped out of his skin in fright. In the middle of the night, a sudden voice from upstairs was enough to scare anyone half to death. Moreover, he had just done something bad, so it was absolutely terrifying. Besides, Ye Ziqiu had clearly been asleep in bed just a moment ago. How did she wake up and catch him?
"Why aren’t you sleeping? You scared the hell out of me," Lin Jian said, continuously patting his chest.
"Hmph, look what time it is!" Ye Ziqiu scoffed coldly, then turned and went back into her room!
In truth, although she was in bed, she hadn’t fallen asleep. She was sleeping lightly and had heard faint noises downstairs, which was why she came out to check. Though she didn’t know what Lin Jian had been up to, she felt at ease now that he was back. Lying in bed, she fell asleep not long after.
Meanwhile, Lin Jian still wasn’t the least bit sleepy. Instead, he sat on the sofa, recalling everything that had happened that night! If the other party called the police, and if the police found the bodies, it would actually be very easy to track him down. Jiang City had surveillance cameras on every street and alley. Since his car had followed theirs, it would be easy to trace it back to him.
However, he hadn’t left any traces at the scene, and with the heavy rain washing everything away, there was zero evidence of his presence. Furthermore, he leaned toward the belief that the other party wouldn’t call the police. If they didn’t, he wouldn’t be in much trouble. It was just that he still didn’t know who had sent those two killers, so he needed to remain highly vigilant moving forward.
Meanwhile, in a high-rise residence at Tangchen Yipin in Modu, a young man wearing a stand-collar Mao suit suddenly stood up. "Da Kuan, we’re going to Jiang City."
The Giant-like Da Kuan said nothing. He simply stood up and headed out. His expression was incredibly grim.
Neither Heizi nor Yanzi was answering their phones! The Young Master had called three times, but no one picked up. Something must have happened!
Tonight, before making a move, Heizi had already reported to the Young Master. So, now that neither of their phones could be reached, there was only one explanation: something had happened to them!
Heizi, Yanzi, and Da Kuan were childhood friends from the same hometown. Knowing they were in trouble, the veins on Da Kuan’s forehead bulged. The Young Master, however, remained entirely calm.
