AFTERWORD

Hello, everyone. Light Tuchihi here. Fun fact: the kanji for my name is 3e17392f-2336-4c99-b2c2-14e630cd8079.jpg235e8cca-103d-4120-a989-63f3f9fd937c.jpgb8f15c02-d4bc-4e06-9cb6-61d609c1af31.jpg, so the characters themselves could be read as earth (1989fdc6-0bf4-404d-9152-e04947903274.jpg), sun (cb2bfaad-8247-4ac6-9aee-2cac60adda79.jpg), and moon (f90fdc94-9822-417f-8805-c28b9ff00807.jpg), or as Saturday (c62cd5d2-9009-4ba9-be33-e9ae3e949ae9.jpg), Sunday (d7ba69ef-3015-4d82-b007-251d3a6b4994.jpg), and Monday (62db379a-1663-4c4c-a133-5c1147dd9086.jpg). However, it’s actually read Light (0e54239b-afc6-4bb6-a0ba-f384a0078ad1.jpg) Tuchihi (45c981a0-42bf-4341-9182-7f1087e9d70c.jpg14a48cf9-0fd9-49cb-bfc1-afdc65f62f36.jpg). Anyway, I know it’s a little too late to be saying this, but it’s a pretty nerdy name, huh? I have no regrets, though.

Moving on… First, I would like to thank you for reading Volume 3 of The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious. This novel, which I started on the novel website KakuYomu, was only able to make it this far thanks to everyone’s support. I cannot thank the people who bought the first two volumes enough.

So now, let me briefly talk about Volume 3. The cautious Hero Seiya Ryuuguuin, who saved Gaeabrande in the previous volume, makes an appearance in this volume, of course. Naturally, the useless goddess Rista also makes an appearance, and they still go back and forth with their usual married-couple-like banter. However, if you look at the cover, you can see there is something different about Seiya. The Hero rarely smiles. In fact, it’s surprising how little he smiles. You could say he left laughter behind in the womb when he was born. So why is he wearing such a refreshing smile on the cover? Did he win the lottery? Did he eat something good? Did he get a girlfriend? I would love for you to read this volume and find out for yourself.

I hope when you read this story, it will make you laugh, maybe cry, and perhaps feel all kinds of emotions. It’s also relatively long compared to the first two volumes, so I hope it feels like a bargain. As a writer, I’m kind of proud of how I handled the second half of the story. I like to think that whoever reads to the end will surely enjoy themselves. (Where does this confidence come from?)

Anyway, I don’t have many pages left to write on, so I’m going to make this brief. I would like to thank the following people:

Everyone who worked on this project with me and helped grow this story, Saori Toyota—whose illustrations always go beyond my expectations—and everyone who has supported this series and purchased the novels. Thank you all so very much. I am only able to continue writing because of everyone’s support.

While I’m still just a novice writer, I am going to continue working hard to improve so I can make the story funnier and more touching for everyone supporting me. I want to continue creating stories that make people think, I’m so glad I read that and I’m glad I bought this. It’s the least I can do to pay everyone back. And yes, I know this is a little arrogant of me to think.

Before I go, I just want to wish everyone happiness and good health. Let’s meet again in the next volume.
