AFTERWORD

The Irregular at Magic High School series has reached its sixth volume. Time flies, doesn’t it? It’s thanks to everyone who has given me support. Thank you all so much.

I’ve never tried completing an episode in one volume, and this Yokohama Disturbance Arc will be split into two books as well. Not three, though, so rest easy—though that brag isn’t much of an excuse.

As some of you may already know, this series is an improvement of a Web-published series of the same name. In other words, a complete version. Furthermore, there are currently no plans for a “new complete version,” “true complete version,” “final complete version,” or “ultimate complete version” after this.

…All jokes aside, there were more than a few episodes that had to be cut when I put it on the Web, mainly due to time constraints. Filling those stories in has turned into one of the main jobs of publishing the story in paperback. This book, volume 6, and the next, volume 7, have particularly numerous episodes to compensate. Things like what that person, who hasn’t appeared yet, has been up to, and what that person, who has appeared only in name is doing… I actually added episodes for things like that in part two, about how that person and the other person got into that kind of relationship. I also added some scenes that hadn’t been in my mind at all at the time, like that particular school festival scene, or that unfortunate (?) accident during training, but I hope you enjoy them all the same.

Volume 7 is slated to come out not next month, but the month after that, in September. When it does, I believe I’ll be able to give news of a mixed-media project.

Please look forward to Yokohama Disturbance Arc , which will be filled with exciting battles.
